For the last several years I have gone to Just Ride Bikes for sales and service. I regret not one…read moremoment. Expert advice, knowledgeable staff and friendly service each and every time. Started out with a trainer that Brian found a fit a new cassette to make an old spare bike work on it. Each time I bring my Cannondale road bike in, it comes out riding smooth as silk. Cannondale, Trek and Pinerello road bikes authorized dealer but Brian and the mechanics are the best part of the show!

My wife and I recently retired and moved to Tennessee and one of the first things on my to-do list…read morewas to find a local bike shop. As an adult, I've enjoyed cycling since the late 80s and having previously worked in a shop myself, was looking for a place that could not only fix my bikes but one that I could develop a relationship with. The kind of bike shop you could hang out in, swap riding stories, plan rides and maybe even learn a little something you didn't know about your bike. After visiting a handful of shops I walked into Just Ride Bikes and Fitness. Just Ride had that bike shop vibe, which was like going to that place where everybody knows your name. You know that place, right? When I walked into Just Ride, I was greeted by Brian who is the owner. Brian was friendly and knowledgeable of not only the bike business but the local cycling scene as well, which was invaluable to a new arrival to the great state of Tennessee. Brian's staff were equally helpful and great to talk bikes with. After that initial visit, I brought my mountain bike in to have the dropper post serviced. Brian got the job done quickly, kept me abreast of the status of my repair and made sure the service cost remained reasonable. My dropper post now works better than when my bike was new! For riding the Creeper and other trails in the area I bought a Trek Checkpoint gravel bike from Just Ride. Brian made some great suggestions for which gravel bike was best for me and made me a very reasonable offer on the purchase of my new Checkpoint. I also completed my first shop ride with the Just Ride crew, which was a total blast and I can't wait for the next one. I've been to shops where no one who works there actually rides but the guys at Just Ride are cyclists of all levels whom you just might see if you're out on the Greenbelt trail or elsewhere. I've found bicycle shops that have practically no inventory and everything has to be ordered for you to shops that stock mostly the super expensive stuff that you probably don't want or need. Just Ride keeps a nice selection of bikes and accessories in stock that you'll actually want, including products for the serious athletes to those riders who just want to get some exercise and enjoy the road/trail. I found the staff at Just Ride to be honest, welcoming and very competent. I'm happy to have found Just Ride Bikes and Fitness and they are now my go to shop in northeast Tennessee.

Gave me suggestions on where to check out for riding, very nice folks here who ride bikes and can help you out with a smile.

What a sweet little shop. Came in around 5:15 (they close at 6 which is lucky for us 9-5ers) and…read morewas. Immediately greeted despite the owner talking to others. He finished up with the other customers and promptly made me feel welcome. I proceeded to explain some issues I had with my bike cables and he let me know they were twisted (hand to forehead). He explained this to me without making me feel silly or dumb for my mistake. He then fixed the cables and added air to my tires. He proceeded to tell me the condition my bike was in through casual no pressure conversation. He stated it was good for now but would need work eventually. I loved how knowledgeable he was and I could tell he wasn't trying to sell me anything. Unnecessary. I then inquired about a replacement tube (he just ordered them so I'll have to come back soon) and a bike bag. I settled on a nice bike bag for under the seat. Pricey but handy and just what I needed. It was $25 which is standard for this sort of thing- I just prefer used things usually so full price scares me. Ha. Honestly it felt good to support an authentically kind local business even if it was just a little. He was willing to help at no cost and that goes a long way. I'll certainly be back soon
