A wide range of items to choose from in a BEAUTIFUL shop just off the square in Carlinville,IL. Custom made "Whiskeyed Up" items are lovingly made by Michelle herself and reflect her unique style and fun personality . She carries Magnolia Pearl, Uno de 50 and Art By Amy as well as many other artisan pieces that you will not find in other stores . This is "THE" place to do your shopping! The quality of the clothes is A1 including Magnolia Pearl. The owner Michelle is super accommodating and so sweet.. She also carries lots of handcrafted jewelry that are to die for as well as little gifts for everyone. She offers layaway on higher priced items. I hope I can go visit this shop in the future. read more

If you are looking for something unique this is your place! Also carries Magnolia Pearl and now has an exclusive kids clothing line. Owner is very personable and such a help putting outfits together. Stop by Whiskey River and get your kicks on Route 66. read more

They have a new location and was excited to check them out and thanks to their beautiful pictures and took a virtual tour, I was able to see what they had and went in to buy a gift for family and pleased with the selection I saw! Awesome boutique! read more

This is a terrific store for all types of styles. They also carry makeup, jewelry and accessories that I can't find anywhere else. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. She offers her opinion when asked and is a a great help. Carlinville is my hometown but, until Whiskey River opened, I very seldom made trips back. Now I'm looking forward to going back each chance I get! read more

This store has no selection of men's clothing or apparel at all whatsoever. There are no public restrooms here either just to forewarn you before entering. I'm pretty much a Neanderthal when it comes to computers and any accessories related to the functioning of technical equipment. If something goes wrong with my laptop, printer or some other gadget that we can't live without today, I'm loathe to take it somewhere to get it fixed. Places like Best Buy or other repair shops are worse than car mechanics when it comes to price gouging, let alone actually fixing the issue. Chris actually explains to me what is wrong with my laptop or printer or whatever and how he is going to fix it. Even if I'm too dense understand, he won't take that for granted. Once, my laptop's screen went completely blank, I couldn't afford to buy a new one at the time. He got the replacement part & got it working again for about $50. Another time, I was too simple to get my wireless printer to print. Okay, I had never been able to get it to print without connecting the cable directly to my computer. I called Chris and he was able to solve the problem remotely, that night. If I ever have another issue, I would definitely use Miltronics again.

The plants are beautiful and I always buy too many. I always find something new I love. Today, I bought several herbs, including a Spicy Orange Thyme. It smelled so good - might be nice in a a stir-fry or an Orange Beef dish. I also bought a Calla Lily. They had half a dozen colors, but the one I couldn't resist was a bright orange-yellow and it reminded of a Torch Lily. The prices on some things are a little higher than I want to pay, but there's no question that they're grown well and look great. The Basil today was huge - a plant that I haven't been able to get to live for the last few years (bought from a different nursery.) The staff are extremely knowledgeable and always friendly and ready to help. Be sure to take a look at the giant plant they have growing in the greenhouse. Gotta go! I was able to travel a couple hours to shop at this amazing place. The owner, Michelle, gives each customer such personalized service. She goes above and beyond to make it a fabulous shopping experience. She has so many unique and special items from clothing to accessories and greeting cards to handmade razors.
