The instructors here are nice in the classroom but when it comes to the driving lessons they are very unorganized I got canceled on twice. My kids test date was for February but because of canceled lessons was pushed to March. instructor showed up to the wrong house because they wrote it down wrong then proceeded to blame it on me. One of the instructors was very uncomfortable to be around and made my child very uncomfortable in the car. wile the in class lessons we're good the drivers lessons were terrible. if I could redo it I would have sent my child to next street. please think twice before sending your kid here. read more

I have used Wheel Easy for two out of my three children. The two that went here got a much better driving education experience. The tester at the DMV made a point of telling me that whoever prepared my daughter had done a great job. The schedule worked really well for our busy life. read more

I used another driving school with my son but it did not work out with my daughter's schedule so I took a chance on Wheel Easy. My daughter loved and respected Wheel Easy. She told me that she learned so much and the owner made her feel like she really cared about the kids. I noticed a huge difference too. My daughter was more confident in driving and absorbed what they were teaching. Additionally, with Wheel Easy, I did not have to purchase extra driving lessons because they were good at teaching. It was cheaper and easier to take the driving test through Wheel Easy. Wheel Easy really cares so much about these children and they do not do condensed classes because they do not believe in them. Kids don't learn as much when you cram it in. I love Wheel Easy and highly recommend them. read more

I could not have been happier with our experience at this school. The classroom instructors and the driving instructors could not have been more professional , patient, kind and very skilled at what they do. They were very good with my son and he is now a very conscientious teen driver who feels comfortable and is driving safely. I thought they were very patient with all the teens and really treat them with respect. The classroom schedule is convenient and when it came time to schedule his actual driving lessons they work with you to make it work for you. We decided to have our son test with their vehicle and have them take him to the DMV. Best decision ever ! Well worth the small fee, my son did great and it was quick and he was done with license in his hand in no time at all. The first class the instructor talked about her X-husband's alcoholism and criminal record to the class. Second class was when she showed the students graphic videos of car accidents and, as she opened the class, she stated that as an EMT she has "smelled hot blood on asphalt"; she asked the class if any of them knew what that smelled like. The videos she then showed contained actual footage of people's body parts hanging from trees, and these went on for an hour. She told the class that 6 of her students (at different times in her program) have passed out watching these videos. Parents have complained, so now she has stopped showing them to parents and the students together, and she instead only shows them to her students. My daughter was in a near-fatal traumatic head-on auto collision at a young age. The instructor, Mrs. G., pushed my daughter to talk about that in front of a Zoom class of 30 peers (whom she did not know) after watching these horrific videos. When I called Mrs. G after the class had ended to question her methods of teaching, further asking her: had she no compassion or grace? She became belligerent and kicked us out of the class stating, she didn't need "our kind" in her program. She did issue me a refund. This program is not worth it--beware! Fear tactics galore employed, and a complete lack of sensitivity or concern for her pupils. read more

The staff is very rude and unorganized. The scheduling of the driving with instructors was very unpredictable. Times were off and changed hours before the lesson. The instructors were very unprofessional-no educational experience, different instructors gave different instruction. read more

I would dissuade potential student drivers from attending this school. My daughter had finished her classroom training a few months back, had 3 driving lessons with a very nice instructor, and was going out for her final driving lesson recently. The experience began with this second instructor calling me at 5:33 to impatiently ask where my daughter was. Now, scheduling driving time had been an issue with the school from the beginning, with them repeatedly cancelling and rescheduling, so when I received a call that day that she could have her last lesson that night, I agreed, on the condition that they pick her up outside of her music studio after a lesson. The instructor was clearly upset that my daughter had not come out of her lesson yet, which ended at 5:30, and wanted me to text her. Apparently what happened next was a driving lesson during which the instructor ridiculed her, called her "pitiful" (among other things), told her she would never pass her test, and made her so upset she couldn't finish the driving lesson. Not a person to make waves, I still felt I should call to speak to the owner to report this second instructor's approach and the effect it had. When I did, I was impartial, calm, and reported what my daughter had tearfully told me to the best of her recollection. No sooner did I finish speaking, it was as if the owner was simply waiting for sound to stop coming through the phone at her so she could launch into an uncalled-for diatribe about my daughter's supposed behavior throughout her time at the school. She began her tirade with the words, and I am quoting, "Your daughter is a huge pain in the butt." (Although to be fair, she might have said "big" instead of "huge".) She unleashed a list of behaviors which had apparently upset her - and don't get me wrong, I know my daughter and she is certainly capable of the things she was reported as doing (i.e. not paying attention in class, not volunteering, fidgeting... ) However, there is a way to address things, and it is not to insult, harangue, and speak with such apparent angry loathing to a child's parent. And hasn't she experienced children with ADHD in her classroom before? Surely she must have run across a few, and understood the fidgeting part at least. I listened quietly (maybe from shock?) and we ended the call with her telling me that my daughter was through with the class and could pick up her CS1 form at any time. I had attended the parent class at the school as required several months ago, and was instantly struck by the owner/instructor's attitude and personality. If she regularly speaks in such a condescending way as she did that day, I understand why my daughter wouldn't want to volunteer answers. During that 2 hour class, I witnessed the instructor mocking a parent for an incorrect answer (so I imagine it is even worse for students when the parents are not there.) I was also puzzled by her repeated warnings of not wanting parents to be calling the school and complaining for various reasons. At the time I wondered why she felt the need to say that, repeating it at least twice, and now I know why. Parents must call all the time, although why there has never been a poor review prior to this I don't know. I expect that this review will unleash a furious response from the owner, but it needed to be said. read more

We had a good experience here. My daughter did really well with the driving lessons and was all set for her test. Unfortunately we scheduled it in Wethersfield not knowing it is the worst location to test. Her tester made her parallel park, left back in (to a tilted spot) and took her on the Silas dean highway in one of the most dangerous locations in Ct. Not only did she fail- she was afraid to get behind the wheel again. Mrs G met with her and talked her into trying again and even accompanied my daughter to her re-test three weeks later. She sat with us in the DMV and really helped to ease the nerves. When my daughter passed with flying colors, she pulled out the failure slip we had gotten in Wethersfield amd had the officer check it over to see how awful it was and he actually kept it to report the tester. She was definitely a great advocate to have with us and I'm not sure my daughter would have gone back to try again without Mrs. G encouraging her. read more

The information from this school helped save my life. A lot of Driving Schools don't take driver education seriously, making it feel like a waste of time. Not this school however. Not only did I learn a bunch of wonderful and useful tips in a fun way from the Drivers' Ed teacher, Mrs. G, but I also learned about what to do when a car loses control. I had just "graduated" the program and had my lisence for two weeks (16 years at the time) and convinced my mom to let me drive up to Newport, RI during the summer (I was following her up). I had just purchased new tires for my Jeep Wrangler, because the old ones had dry rot, and I'd rather be safe than sorry. However, I was going 70 mph on the highway in the first town in Rhode Island, when my back left tire flew off, rim and everything just took off, went at least two-three stories into the sky, over a median, hit a car on the hood, and caused a pick up truck to crash into a tree. And by pure luck, no one got hurt. I meanwhile, utilized my skills learned at Wheel Easy, to safely put the car into neuteral and slowly brake as I drive into the emergency lane, without losing control, flipping or causing more accidents. And no, it was not the fact that I was driving a Jeep Wrangler and that it is an "unsafe vehicle". It actually turns out that when I had gotten my new tires, the mechanic had only hand tightened the lugnuts on that tire and not with the machine like your suppose to. That could have happened to anyone who got the guy that wasn't paying attention to his one and only job; to put tires onto a car. So if you are going to spend a hefty 500 bucks on Drivers' Ed, deifnitely go somewhere where it will be worth your while. read more
