On multiple occasions, we were left waiting for over 45 minutes because of poor communication or lateness. There is no proper office system, everything is handled through text messages, and you only seem to get a response when it's time to make a payment. We tried to get information about my child's classes starting in October, but no one followed up until January, and even then the information was vague and unhelpful. Because of this lack of guidance, my child ended up having to retake all the classes. Shortly after, we received an email saying students were not completing the correct work, which reflects poorly on the school's organization and instruction. To make matters worse, after paying $650 for classes and an additional $125 for the road test, we were surprised to find out we still had to pay the DMV $84 for the license. The school did not clearly explain that their fee only covered the use of their car and administering the test. Overall, the lack of communication, disorganization, and hidden costs made this a very negative experience. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

They are HAPPY to cash your…read more($900+) payment but when it comes to actually scheduling DRIVING LESSONS in Fairfield, Westport, Southport, and this area - they have LITTLE TO NO AVAILABILITY. DON'T let them tell you differently - its a money grab. They want you to log in on FRIDAYS to try your chances to get a spot - but most of them do not exist. In the past two months I have seen less than 4 slots open in this entire area. When you sign up - they have you pick a date and time at a school - but that means nothing. When I raised this concern, and my ONLY driving lesson was cancelled on the same day, I waited 11 days for them to come back to me with ONE option (I waited for at least three lessons)! This is my second teen going through the program, and its not improved - I don't know what I was thinking by signing up again! Lastly, while Levi tried to help by enlisting a driver from central Connecticut to drive WAY down to Fairfield and give my kid some lessons, EMILY left me a message and was too busy to take my calls when I tried to schedule my son. I asked to speak to a manager and was denied repeatedly. They are really nice people who cannot provide the service that you signed up for - and TOO BUSY to take your calls when you need help. You will see that I rarely leave negative comments, but this place shouldn't be allowed to operate in our towns.

Anyway they were unprofessional and unorganized. After my son finished the crappy classroom sessions he was supposed to go for behind the wheel lessons. No one ever called me or returned my many voicemails about scheduling the on the road training.My husband called and they came once. Took my son for 2 hours. And that was it. We have texted them, called them and even showed up at the location and we get no response. He was supposed to receive 8 hours of behind the wheel training. I am so upset about their lack of professionalism and Communication. I will never recommend this business again. I will soon file a complaint with the BBB and the CT Consumer protection.

We chose this school because everyone goes to Rae's and it's convenient. The following comments are my experience, but I also speak for many, as they have also had the same difficulties. It is impossible to get through on the phone to make on-road appointments and setting up your driver's test. Even if you're able to leave a msg (which is quite an undertaking in itself) good luck waiting for a call back. This has gone on for weeks. I just saw in one of the local papers there's a driving school opening up at No. Haven High with classes after school. Finally, another option in town.
