They will come and pick you up anywhere in dupage and personal escort you to the front desk to be sure you find it ok and arrive safely as you are dropped off in front of most places. Guest services took a while to check me in but the personal attention I received was outstanding. They held onto all my personal items and kept them securely stored. The person who took my personal belongings was caring a weapon so I knew anybody who tried to mess with my stuff would really have it coming. They gatherd as much personal information about me as they could in order to fine tune my experience. They loudly spoke to the group of people waiting to check in with short easy to understand terms most likely for those who may be hard of hearing. I was able to wait in a glass enclosed room with about 30 other guest who were waiting to have their rooms prepared for them. The glass encloser have the room a stylish look that complimented the concrete walls nicely making for a stylish effect. The glass was also bullet proof for our safety and security. I must have been surrounded by some of the top legal minds in dupage as they all seemed very concerned with their upcoming cases. since it was taking so long to have our rooms prepared for us they offered us a complimentary meal. The waiter delivered individually wrapped sandwiches to us. I was impressed that they placed such a high regard on sanitation by individually wrapping each sandwich. The meat was like nothing I had ever tasted before not hot not cold but at room temperature where it was perfect for eating. The portion could have been a bit bigger but I can forgive this as it was like nothing I had ever tasted before. They must enjoy striving on uniqueness. Just before I made it to my room my mom came and picked me up and paid them a handsome fee for having to end my trip early.

DuPage hired new corrections officers they young and educated. Except for an evening CO she has red hair, pink hand cuffs, ugly appearance made even uglier by jokes she only finds funny. It's a known fact coworkers cringe when they have to work with her. All joking aside I almost died there due to medical staff. A RN used to work there because I was unable to get up to take opiate withdrawal medication. Bonus DuPage is king for covering all this up. I am now a felon and I am not even a criminal. Since 2019 I'm still lingering in the system not to many reasons to do anything at all.

This creates mold/mildew above only to have it blow through unit(s) as is the case in a disabled resident's all-electric unit (needed due to disabilities) necessitating sealing/taping over an area in the bathroom to prevent mold/mildew odors, etc. When it rains heavily, there is a saturation &/or traveling aspect occurring above the bathroom where it drips down causing paint peeling where the wall meets the ceiling along with darkening behind tiles & grout. According to DHA's website, and this is QUOTED: "DuPage Housing Authority Wheaton, Illinois Our Door is the Path to Your Self-Empowerment. DuPage Housing Authority is a public housing agency (PHA) that administers the Housing Choice Voucher Program, a federally funded subsidized housing program under the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Housing Choice Vouchers allow income eligible families - including individuals, elderly persons, veterans and persons with disabilities - to live in safe and affordable rental units like single-family homes, apartments, townhouses, mobile homes and some condos and cooperatives. The DuPage Housing Authority manages these public program subsidized housing funds to improve housing assistance options in DuPage County." My fiance who is a veteran, who needed help and tried to add family members because I am disabled and he was in a major accident had to fight for months. A personal vendetta because i asked questions and wanted to know more about the program and what was needed. This is our first time dealing with this. I advised the intake coordinator Gail Winfield that you just do not try to belittle people or talk to them any kind of way. Especially someone who fought for your freedom, who was a soldier and in combat! I took it further and will keep taking this above and beyond. Her manager Malinda Smith would not intervene and advised that I needed to talk to intake coordinator and that was it. We fought and finally just had to give up. They do what they want. We became homeless, and thanks to another organization, they have paid for a hotel. We had to go to Aurora authority and within a week we received a voucher. You tell me, what this says! People should not be put in these positions, if they are not for the people and do not know how to talk to people. This is an injustice! They feel that they have some type of power and can treat people however they want. If anyone has experienced some type of injustice, please get a hold of me. I am going to take this up another notch! . I will read any reviews left on here and maybe together, we can get this resolved. I can just imagine how others have been treated. It sickens me!

I can't afford your parking tickets. Why not allow me more than four overnight passes per month?…read moreY'all are bullies, and I'm keeping my lunch money. I simply can't afford to pay you 25$ a night every time my culdesac has no spots left for me. Thanks for dumping all over the little guy, hope you feel really great about yourselves when you wake up and go to work for the day. Great job /s No sympathy given when I showed up to the hearing with pictures and maps and stated my case clearly for the "judge". I offered to literally sit in jail instead of hand over the funds I don't have, and was told best you can do is $5 off each ticket? You are chomping at the bits to move these to collections, and outsource your criminal money scam. Who is disconnected here? Is it me? I wake up every day and work for my money, it is often all spoken for the day it enters my account. Find a new way. Don't demand money from people who don't have it. Let me do community Service instead. Evolve. Don't be archaic. You can do better. Be the change in the world. Don't be naive to the financial hardship of the world today. Is this really the spiritual town I grew up believing that it was? I now have strong doubts.

For the last week or so, there were red flags along the curb on our block. Then came a bunch of construction horses on the parkway. Obviously, something is going on -- but, we were never told what. My husband and I tried contacting the city. They told us curbs were being replaced (ending, of course, 1 house down from ours), and we would receive a notice at least a day in advance. (One day? Like that's time to plan?) Well, no notice at all, and here the crews are -- tearing up the curbs. Called the city. They played dumb. Went out and talked to someone who from the contractor. He swears up and down that there were fliers (if there were, they flew off in the high winds the other day, but I think he was just lying). Neither we nor our neighbors recall seeing any notification. So, now, I'm parking in the driveway of a neighbor who is unaffected by this until the crews finish for the day. But, can I get back into the driveway? NO! Can my husband when he gets back from work? NO! We can park across the street! And, might have to for a few days (or more, depending on the weather), until the concrete can be laid and hardened. What happens to the neighbors who were not home like me? Several have another car they might need to get out and now can't. They also cannot use their driveways when they do get home, which I'm sure will come as a bit of a startle. I was also informed that the whole street is being replaced. No mention of this in any city communication or on the website.

I was on scene when the above accident occurred and immediately pulled into the gas station and was informed that emergency personnel were contacted. I then proceeded to help secure the scene until emergency personnel arrived and verifying their were no serious injuries involved. I pulled into the adjacent bank parking lot and went to the intersection and still observed no emergency personnel. I then assisted in clearing some of the waiting traffic at the intersection until I heard sirens of emergency personnel approaching from both the south, fire/ambulance and west police. I proceeded to stop all pending traffic in all directions because of emergency traffic approaching from multiple directions and didn't want any vehicles entering the intersection. After assuring police and fire/ambulance personnel got positioned. I moved myself out of the way when I was aggressively approached by a Wheaton police officer demanding i get off the street out of the investigation blah blah blah. I then got on the sidewalk and again he started getting aggressive with his demeanor with me telling me to leave even though I was definitely far enough and in no way interfering with his non investigating investigation as the injured parties were conversing with medical staff. As he was not happy with my location he ILLEGALLY RAN MY CAR PLATES THAT WERE PARKED IN A PRIVATE LOT. I was on private property now. 2 other officers came over and I spoke of my displeasure and his I feel gestapo tactics when I was out there on scene making sure him and all his emergency personnel got to the scene safely. Okay, I didn't read the reviews before I had to report for jury duty. Let me help you out…read more This complex consists of multiple buildings. DO NOT turn in at the "Main Entrance" which is a stop light. I wish I had known that because even though the sign says building 505 the actual drive ends at 501 with no additional signs. However, if you enter at the "North Entrance" I am pretty sure there are signs pointing in the right direction. The reason this is a problem is because the number for this building in on the east side of the building and driving up ~ you are looking at the west side of the building. So, drive to the end and enter the free parking garage. It will be busy and looks very crowded ~ that is because you can only drive one way and it just takes you in a loop. However, if you follow the "out" sign instead of the "parking" sign there are tons of available parking spaces. The garage is not attached directly to building 505 but just a short distance which may impact weather related dress and accessories. Once in the building there is 1 security check point and everything goes through the scanner. The wait time was not extensive. The jury room is spacious, coffee, tea, and ice water are provided. There are vending machines for other items. Restrooms are within the confines of the room. Just bring something to help you pass the time, and, yes, cell phones and laptops are allowed. You receive your check when you leave.
