I brought my car here for a bumper job. Peter and his team replaced the bumper with the original manufacturer bumper. It was all done in three days with three stage paint. The car also got washed and looks brand new. A nice local business in downtown Wheaton. read more

I had a fender bender and needed a body shop near my home. I went to Yelp and found Wheaton Body Shop with a bunch of great reviews and decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did!! Peter and Klara are complete pros when it comes to dealing with insurance claims and getting the job done right and on time. They were courteous (as was everyone else I came in contact with at the shop) accurate, professional and honest and did great work. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who is looking for auto body work and wants premium customer service at an honest price. read more

We love the work they do and their professionalism. Grade A customer service. Unfortunately we've had to go to them often (~4 times) and have not been disappointed. We will not go anywhere else. read more

Peter is a wonderful person, and he runs a very professional body shop. I had the misfortune of getting into 2 fender-benders within a few months' timeframe (the 16th St commute is hellish). When I brought my car to Wheaton Body Shop the first time, Peter gave me a ride to Enterprise. He and his staff did a great job on my car, made the process clear and easy, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I actually looked forward to chatting with him on the phone and in the shop! The second time it happened, I drove my car straight to Wheaton Body Shop. But after the insurance claims went through, the other party in the accident took 100% liability, and it became more convenient for me to take my car to the other insurance's body shop. I have to say, after experiencing their service, I wish I could've gotten my car fixed with Peter instead. I really, really hope I don't get into another accident on 16th. But if ever I need it again, I will be bringing my car to Wheaton Body Shop. read more

First class all the way. Did a beautiful job on my Ford F-150 truck. Wonderful folks to deal with. My go to body shop.

After driving my BMW 325is for 32 years I had a fender bender. This was the first "Scratch" that had ever happened to the car. Being so old the insurance company totaled the car and paid me the blue book price. Having only 73,00 miles and other than the banged fender, bumper, hood, and the associated parts connected to the damaged parts, the car's driveability was not damaged. Searching for an auto repair facility that had a good reputation I found the Wheaton Body Shop. After a short conversation over the telephone, I drove the car to the shop. Peter, the owner looked over the damage and promised me an estimate. When it arrived the estimate was very reasonable and I ask for an appointment for repairs. I placed my "all time " favorite Auto under the care of Peter. When he called that the car was ready for pick-up, with some trepidation I went to the Shop. The car looked like new. I was not only relieved to get my car back but was totally delighted with the repairs. I would recommend the Wheaty Body Shop to anyone who needs repairs to their prize automobile. Peter and his staff are very personable, friendly and competent and professional. Peters estimates are very accurate and his work is outstanding. You will not find a better place or person to trust for your auto repairs. read more

Very happy with this shop. I came here for an insurance repair after being rear-ended. They were friendly, honest, and really easy to deal with, including communicating with the insurance adjustor for me. Will definitely go back here. read more

This place is tops! The kindness and consideration cannot be beat. They were recommended by my mechanic and he was absolutely correct!

Outstanding! Both Peter the owner and Klara who works in the office. The whole experience was pleasant but my experience at the pick up really made my day. I asked Peter if the car might be ready a day early as I was leaving town the next day. He said he didn't think so but he would look to see what else needed to be done. A surprise call from Peter the next day and my car was ready! When I went to pick it up, I had my Ridgeback puppy with me and Peter was extra helpful. He helped move some stuff from the rental back to my car. Then he drove my car back to the rental place then walked back to his shop. What more could I ask for? Wheaton Body Shop is a great local business. read more

A friend of us had a car accident recently. We took him and his car to Wheaton Body Shop, which is nearby. The manager Peter immediately inspected the damage and provided a reasonable estimate. He and his colleague Klara helped our friend negotiated a great deal with the other driver, whose car was also damaged in the accident. Peter and Klara provided the exact help my friend needed to save money and time for everyone. Both cars were fixed promptly and perfectly in a couple of days at very reasonable prices. Wheaton Body Shop repairs not only cars, but also drivers' feelings and relationships! read more

I am new to Maryland and don't have a familiar mechanic/body shop. My insurance recommended Wheaton Body Shop when my tire blew out and my car needed to be towed (due to rim damage). Peter and Klara were great to me when my car was towed to their place! My road side insurance made the tow truck go to Wheaton Body Shop because I hit my tire in a way that could've damaged the body. Even though they normally don't deal with flat tires, they happily welcomed my car and I. My car was evaluated, taken to a mechanic, obtained a new tire matching my other tires, and they aligned the tires, all for the lowest cost that they could give me. While they were working on my car, they also cleaned both the inside and outside of my car, and even cleaned my dirty headlights for no additional cost! I would definitely recommend Wheaton Body Shop to my friends, family, and anyone online looking for a reliable car Body Shop. Ask for Klara, she is the sweetest. read more

Omg! This place is awesome.I was looking online for a Auto body shop near me and BOY am I glad I found this one. I had a problem with my bumper and had Peter look at it and in no time he told me what needed to be done. I had the work done the same da and right on time. I was very pleased with their service and felt the need to write a review. I would recommend them with no hesitation and the best part is that you don't need a reservation. Go in and ask for Peter... ;-) read more

Needing body work is definitely a time when you need to feel comfortable with the people doing the repairs. I was recently in that position with my Honda Odyssey mini-van which had damage to the bumper and rear gate. I had previously received an estimate at another shop and that experience felt more like I was just another customer that they had to shuffle through their schedule. There are many options for body work in Wheaton but Wheaton Body Shop will take the time to let you know they're going to treat you right and do great work. Everything about my experience with Wheaton Body Shop had me feeling confident about the work. When I walked in the nice, clean office I was greeted professionally and cordially. The manager made accommodations for me to leave my car there that day and helped me to know what the repair schedule would likely be. They updated me during the repair process (which wasn't long) too. I don't think I've driven away from a body shop before thinking that my car looks a little better coming out than it did even before it got wrecked. If I ever need body work for use this store. They've got customer service right. read more

Wheaton Body shop is the only body shop I'd ever go to. They are honest and reasonable. Of course, the body work is good too. Peter and Klara are very friendly. I've been there a few times over the past 11 years and they make it feel like you're doing business with friends. A+, 5 stars, Thumbs up! read more

Cassandra C. says: The work of this small car-body-repair business, located on a side street of Rt. 193 (University Blvd.) in the business district of Wheaton, MD, is efficient and excellent. You get exactly what you and Peter agree upon. Peter and Klara do a great job of managing the shop. They make sure you are satisfied and keep communications open. They go the extra mile. (The one piece of really BAD news is that they are now closed on Saturdays. I keep asking them to change back.) The friends I have referred to WBS have reported complete satisfaction. read more

Every time I have brought a damaged auto, I have gotten prompt and considerate service. Both of the co-owners, Peter and Klara, are great people. Their service goes beyond the expected. My impression of them is of being honest and reasonable. The one great defect is that they have done away with their Saturday hours! read more

My experience was like the others (for whom I am thankful as I chose Wheaton Body Shop based on reviews). They were significantly cheaper than other estimates and finished the work early! They are very easy to deal with, honest and very nice. Can't go wrong here. read more

I put my Mercedes in this shop because my insurance company recommended them to repair a minor dent in the door. When Paul, they manger /owner of the shop was outside, handing me my key and bragging about how good of a job they did, the $700 driver's side mirror popped off the car. He looked just like the cat who ate the parakeet. I could clearly see they had placed double-sided tape on the back of the mirror and jerry-rigged it back in place--in the hopes that I would drive away totally unaware that they had damaged my car. Additionally, the soft close mechanism in the door is no longer working, and the turn signal light in the mirror component is not working, either. This has been pretty much the worse car repair experience I have ever had. I put my car in the shop to be repaired, and now I need work done that is probably going to cost me $1000 or more. To make matters worse, my insurance company, State Farm, has told me that this is my problem and not their's. I think they are pretty pitiful, too. This company has totally let me down, and I feel like I have no recourse. read more

These guys and gal at Wheaton Body Shop are FANTASTIC. My wife took her car in after an accident. She asked them to do a little extra work that was not involved with the insurance claim. They charged a very reasonable price, did an excellent job and only took one day to do it. While we were picking up her car I asked about the sliding doors on my van that would not close properly. Wheaton Body Shop tried to save me money and checked with Honda before they did any work to make sure it was not a recall issue. It was not a recall but Wheaton Body Shop charged very little to do the work. They also noticed that 3 of my windows would not go down. I told them my mechanic looked at it and said the part was going to be $375 and plus labor cost to put it in. Wheaton Body Shop found the part used for me and installed it all for $150. I can not say enough good things about them. They did a great job, were fast, inexpensive, and friendly. I will do business with them in the future if I ever need body work. read more

Excellent, excellent customer service and they did a beautiful job. They were upfront about how busy they were and the delay before they would be able to get my car in the shop, but had me bring it by so they could determine the parts they would need (and ordered them prior to it being dropped off for repairs). They were warm and friendly and there to help me navigate any insurance and rental needs. When they were finished, they called me a couple of times to be sure I knew it was ready for pick up (and were amazingly patient when I answered the phone in grumpy-waking-up-in-the-afternoon-before-and-after-nightshift mode, bless them). They had her ready to go first thing in the morning when I got off work and (to my great surprise and joy), not only was she looking good on the outside, they had her all spiffy and clean on the inside, too. read more

Our car was hit last week, requiring us to replace the rear fender. We went to Wheaton Body Shop and couldn't be happier with their work. I took the car in on a Monday morning before work, and it was ready for me to take home the next day after work. They were also very friendly. They even called Enterprise to arrange for them to come pick me up. I highly recommend this business. read more

Very unprofessional performance and behavior. They will give you fake preliminary estimate and once they start the work, they will change the price significantly and you will end up paying a lot. If you don't have an idea of how it will cost you they will charge you extremely high. In addition to the high cost I was very dissatisfied with their work. read more

They were very nice people, but the repair on my car was very poorly done and broke again within a week, with parts sagging and falling out. They acted mystified as to what those parts were and it took a reputable dealer to repair to show me what those pieces were and how it should have been done properly, and removing the hanging pieces for free while they performed other maintenance work. read more

Days before Christmas, I found myself in need of work on my car. The bumper was damaged and the exhaust pipe was dragging on the ground. Completely stressed out, I called Wheaton Body Shop at 7:30am and explained the issue. I took my car in shortly after, received an estimate, and let them get to work. The next day, my car was in pristine condition and ready to drive home. I am so thankful I found Wheaton Body Shop. They were kind, helpful, and did amazing work. More than a year later, everything still looks great and I recommend Wheaton Body Shop to anyone who asks about auto body repair. read more

After getting into an accident about 6-7 years ago, requiring I find a body/repair shop (anywhere but the overpriced dealership I had gone to previously!) in the area, I looked up a few different options and was trying to compare them when my family recommended Wheaton Body Shop, as my Dad had also gotten work done there and said it was the fastest, most reliable and fairly-priced car repair he'd had in many years. So I called them and dropped the car off. Best decision! I have gone back there every time I needed a repair done since (even though I moved from Silver Spring to farther out in Rockville, and there are plenty of options closer), and now many of my friends and co-workers are also fans! The owners (Peter and Paul, have dealt with both of them over the years) are the most wonderful people to deal with--they're super helpful, willing to explain and go over anything with you, and the service always feels personal and friendly, as oppose to the bigger shops who really don't care about or remember you, and just want to squeeze out as much money as possible. Klara is now working in the front office and helping with estimates and all the insurance work (they will always deal directly with the insurance company for you if needed, makes it easier and less stressful) and she is great as well. I decided I had to write this review after needing to go back again last week (was side-swiped in a parking lot by an SUV, whole Driver's side of car was mangled). Not only did they have the whole thing done within the week, they also went through and fixed some minor scratches and an old bumper dent in my car for free while it was in there. That is the kind of service that makes coming here really worth it! I was happily surprised, and the car looked great--paint and everything was perfectly matched, looked in better shape than it had before the accident. I was actually planning to buy a new car recently, but seeing it now made me decide to wait a while longer! Just had to say thanks on here! read more

Peter and Klara did a great job on two occasions, when we used their services. Their customer service is great. Peter typically comes up with several different options for fixing your car, depending on how much you want to spend and how good you want the car to look. I trust them to give me the best price and high quality service. read more

Just brought my car into Wheaton Body Shop. I had a prior estimate to go through insurance for minor bumper/headlight repairs/replacement for about $700 (with a $500 deductible from me). Once I arrived, Clara and Peter advised I do not need to spend all that money, and that for $100 they could reattached the bumper, buff it and the scratched headlight and make it look good and safe to drive. They did just that, and even completed the job in 40 minutes, so I didn't have to leave it over night. Very honest, I could have easily spent a lot more but they advised against it. read more

I recently took my car to wheaton body shop after an accident. The person at fault's insurance company tried to nickel and dime for the cost of repairs, and both Peter and Klara fought tooth and nail make sure that I got the best repairs with quality parts. The car now looks great, they truly went the extra mile. They are a stand up crew, and I wouldn't hesitate to call upon their services, or recommend them to anyone in need of good body work. Thanks guys! read more

We have been the Wheaton Body Shop's customers for many years and every time we go there we are so pleased to know that they are as honest, as professional and reliable as before. Today was another example. My husband took his car to repair a scratch on the door from driving too close to the garage frame. The gentleman at the Wheaton Body Shop did not try to make extra money by telling my husband that the door had to be repainted. He simply used some chemicals and whipped out the scratch!! We know that elsewhere it would be a major service and expense. We still remember taking our car to Herb Gordon because the trunk would not close. They told us that the whole lock had to be removed and replaced and the labor and parts would cost almost $350. We took the car to a service station and the mechanic screw some screws that were loose and didn't charge us a penny. The Wheaton Body Shop belongs to this category of business - they only charge you for what really has to be done and not for what they can come up with to make you pay more. We also highly recommend them for the superb quality of service they provide. read more
