Still the epitome of a five star business! I used to bring my old car to Wheaton Body when I lived in Maryland and they did the best quality work at the absolute best prices. But this time I want to talk about the work that they didn't do. I now live Virginia and recently tattooed our SUV. I knew most of it could be buffed off, but the two places that I took it to out here insisted that I couldn't and wanted to charge me between $1500 and $3000 to do it. So I drove all the way out to Wheaton because I knew one trip to see Peter and Klara would answer the question. Peter came out to look at the car and said he'd clean it up and then I could tell him whether we should do anything to it. He did and I didn't even have to answer the question. Trustworthy, efficient, and dependable! I don't like going to the mechanic because I know nothing about cars and never know if I'm getting the right information or am overpaying. Peter was so incredibly helpful and really efficient willing to troubleshoot and just figure things out. I had an issue with my car and I was honest telling Peter I was unwilling to pay more than $50 to resolve it. Instead of just sending me on my way, Peter said he wanted to take a closer look at it to see if there was anything he could do. The long story short--Peter figured out the issue and fixed it!!! The long version: I got a piece of furniture stuck in my seatbelt and because of the way I had it secured, the seatbelt offered no slack and wouldn't budge at all. I effectively had a piece of furniture permanently affixed to my car because of the seatbelt. I was ready to damage and deconstruct the piece of furniture to release it from the seatbelt because the cost to replace the seatbelt would have been much more. However, despite knowing what I could pay (a mere $50...), Peter took my car and tried to troubleshoot to see if he could do anything on his end... and that he did. He figured it out in 10 minutes and didn't even charge me anything... Didn't need to get anything replaced and my furniture was intact! read more

Since he was a lot closer to me, I went with him and much to my surprise, had my vehicle done the next day. I am in awe of the job he did repairing the bumper & headlight and managing to get all the deer blood and entrails off the car. On a windy day someone's door pulled out of their hands and hit my driver side door. It left a negligible dent but I noticed a short while after that the bottom metal strip on the driver's door was loose when I closed the door. I made an appointment with Peter. He looked at the door and said he didn't think the strip was loose from the hit, but rather I had bumped into a curb or something and it had come loose. It was a chilly day and Peter laid down on the curb and carefully put the strip back into place. It is totally fixed! He wouldn't take any money for it! I've dealt with Wheaton Body Shop before when I had a significant accident. I was impressed with their work at that time. They are the best! Professional and honest. I took my 2012 Mustang to Wheaton Body Shop for the first time this past week. I had an encounter with a baby deer on a 2-lane country road, and the nose of my hood was damaged. This Mustang has bright red paint, with a high-gloss clear coat. I just got my car back after one week, exactly as predicted when I dropped the car off. Communication was top-notch; they kept in touch each step of the process. They matched the color perfectly, and the gloss is bright and shiny. They even corrected the paint job my brother had done on the front bumper after an earlier, unrelated incident. The entire process was handled very well, with no work on my part aside from dropping off and picking up the car. This is by far the best experience I've ever had dealing with a car! I recently was involved in two, yes TWO, accidents where my car needed body work to repair it. I have been using this shop for about 20 years now. They have repaired extensive body damage (twice) and they have fixed dinged bumpers (4 times). In every case they are knowledgeable, nice, and get the job done for a very reasonable cost. They are able to fix a dented bumper without replacing, for about $150. A colleague drove here from Annapolis for such a repair because he couldn't find any other shop that could do this! They work very well with insurance and provide kind and helpful advice for the novice who hasn't had to deal with insurance claims before. The quality of all their repairs has been uniformly top notch - no problems cropped up later. Peter and Klara are the best! Wonderful first experience with Wheaton Body Shop. My 2005 Odyssey bumper had pulled loose and actually torn as a result of encountering a high curb.
