I love when they come to my job with this food truck. There is nothing here I do not like. Here is my last meal...IT'S DA BOMB!!!!! YYYYAAAAASSSSSS!!!!!!!

a food truck

We had the pleasure of trying this food truck at Turning Point Beer last night. I had the steak tacos with the spicy sauce and they were the perfect amount of savory and heat! Friends got the steak bowl and steak sandwich. They definitely did not skimp on the meat! We also went through two orders of plantain chips which were very reasonably priced. Don't miss out if this truck comes by

Incredible food and a business run by good people... Would love to see you set up a brick and mortar restaurant. So good. :).

The food was okay, not the greatest, but just okay. The blonde young girl needs an attitude adjustment.

I highly recommend both the churrasco bowl and the plantain chips as both were excellent.

"The Gastro Bomber is serving up traditional pub grub with a Texas twist and the customary pub…read moreculture...good music and friendly conversation!" - From GB's FB page. So yesterday (10/3/2012) Keller had it's first pop-up food truck event. I was very happy to catch wind of it, for I'm usually late to the party when it comes to events. In attendance were Gastro Bomber and So-Cal Tacos (http://www.yelp.com/biz/so-cal-tacos-fort-worth). My plan was to order something from each truck, one as a way to show support, and two, well because I'm a glutton and wanted to try both. I looked over both menus and came to a decision. From GB it was going to be the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. I've been wanting C&Ws forever, from anywhere, and tonight was finally my night to try this item. The first thing to point out is it was not really a "sandwich" unless you want to stretch it and call it an open-faced sandwich. Second, it was not a full-sized waffle, but rather something rectangular. It consisted of three pieces of boneless chicken and a drizzle of maple syrup. Cost, $8. It was very good. The chicken was tender and the waffle delicious. What I noticed, and confirmed, is that there is corn meal in the waffle batter. I was told this is the Southern twist they like to add to there food. It was like Belgian cornbread. Yummy! Now I will add my wife's comment, which seem to be true of all food trucks, is that the cost to quantity ratio seems to be a little high. Three large tenders on essentially half a waffle for 8 bucks seems a bit much. Now I came up with a new take on the cost and that is this; One, your getting to try something new and somewhat unique. Two, and here's the kicker, your bottom line cost is perhaps a bit less than if you sat down in a restaurant. If tips are expected at food trucks, I did not see any obvious vessel for the cash to go in. You can bring your own drinks, and thus your bottom line for a unique dining experience really is not bad. I for one am glad this came together. I was excited when I learned that Keller might be getting it's own food truck park, and was disappointed when I learned the plans were not approved. Somehow I think Keller's loss will be Roanoke's gain (Actually Corina T., aka the "shark lady", who I met at this event said that). From this point forward I will keep track of food trucks coming to Keller, and there are definitely a few more items on GB's menu I would like to try (Irish Nachos, Shepherd's Pie Croquettes, Fish and Chips, Picanha Sandwich). PS. If you missed it, they will be back in the same spot (at the CVS at the NE corner of 1709 and Rufe Snow) next week, 10/10/2012 from 5 to 8PM. One quick tip: Do bring your own chairs!

(might I add... if you're currently not religious, you will be after it) They're hilarious, they REMEMBER you when you come back to their truck, they are worth going to every-single-time you see them at one of our food truck parks. Absolutely love them.

It was crowded with almost every seat taken. However, we got a table right away. We had a cute Server who had a hand injury but, was still waiting tables! The lights were dim, the Salsas and Bean Dip were good. There was no wait for our food. The Chicken Enchiladas were packed with Chicken. The Refried Beans were flavorful and a good portion size. The Rice was cooked just right. I love the mixed veggies in the Rice. The presentation of the food was perfect! It was a little loud in there but, you could still carry a conversation. Manager came over and asked us how things were. There's some TVs at the bar to check out the Olympics.. The Restrooms were clean too. A special shout out to my cousin, George for paying for an expensive dinner. I loved the ambiance of the food and restaurant. Please, check out Glorias some time.

The chips were nice and crispy and we finished the bean and salsa dip. It was very filling, but keep that in mind if you also want to try out their dishes. We got the Migas which was okay. First time trying it and it was basically scrambled eggs with oily chips. I wasn't a big fan of that, but the refried beans were pretty good. We then ordered the burrito, which was delish. The amount of flavors stuffed in the tortilla from the bacon to the eggs to the cubed pieces of potatoes, that was my favorite. Definitely a new spot for us to visit again. Our waiter was also very nice and attentive.
