The Springfield Mo area is getting the Whataburger places to our area. My take on this place: It's ok...and if I was out on a Saturday afternoon...all the sudden I wanted something to eat...and saw this place coming up; I might stop. BUT, I would (not) seek this place out (for a lunch). The burger is big enough....had plenty of mustard on it...that's for sure. Tomato or lettuce tasted good and clean. But the meat...ok....but (not) some great meat flavor by any means. The burger tastes somewhat like a Sonic burger...just costs more. The onion rings....for a pre-fab onion ring....they were ok....just need plenty of salt in them...to give that fried batter a decent flavor. So there's my take on the place...with (only) a couple of items tried. But too....with "burger" in your name.....I assume that's what they're "good" at. Second whataburger experience- first was in Alabama last spring and we did the drive thru. Today due to the crazy long drive thru double line we opted to go inside and dine in. The lobby was bright and new, reasonably clean. There were caution cleaning signs everywhere but the floor was visibly dirty and not wet. We shared a Dr Pepper milk shake which was heavy on the ice cream and not on the soda but delicious. No major food complaints other than my salad was wrong. I requested no cheese. The salad arrived with melted cheese right smack in the middle. The rest of the family was happy with their selections. The bathrooms were reasonably clean. The biggest flaw was the over flowing trash cans - both were overflowing. As we left there was a rug strewn out of the door- bad tripping hazard. read more

What is there not to love about WHATABURGER! I was thrilled when I heard WHATABURGER was coming to Republic and it would be 24HRS. Sometimes you need a midnight snack after a long day. I arrived at 9:59am, received my meal at 10:26am. Not a bad wait, they have been very busy since yesterday morning. I passed by at 5:30am and they had a line then. I chose a #1 it's a WHATABURGER meal. My food smelled so good, my burger was at a good temperature to enjoy, and nicely packed. My fries were hot, freshly made. They were exactly just how I like them. Can't complain, my meal was scrumptious and the service was excellent. My Sister and I tried the new What A Burger Location in Republic, Mo and in my opinion the food was okay. I got a bacon cheeseburger combo. I liked how they toasted the buns in butter and also thought the size of the burger was impressive however I wasn't impressed with the huge chunks of lettuce I kept biting into on my burger and I wasn't too crazy about the over all quality of the beef they used. The fries were just okay as they seemed a little hard and maybe even a little old. The service was good and timely and the ambiance seemed pretty alive. Overall it was a fun experience since I was with my sister. Will probably return. read more

I'm from Texas, so I'm a bit biased. All new restaurants are slow as a lover of all things Whataburger it's not a problem for me and has gotten a lot better, the breakfast taquitos are real Texas taquitos real bacon real sausage not bacon bits. #2 Double meat is my go-to order with cheese. You have to like mustard and onions with Whataburger, which I do, but if mustard and onions are not for you better, tell them to not put either on your order. Dinner order for April 14, 2023 Sixth car in the drive through that has dual lanes. From time of order 5:34pm to time I drove off to head home 6:07pm. I arrived at Whataburger at 5:15pm... Remember there were 5 orders before mine. Drive thru staff was friendly, and 20 minutes into my wait, was told system crashed they are remaking my order from scratch. What did I order you ask? 2 Cheese and Bacon Whataburger Meals with two large milk shakes. Nothing out of the ordinary. Look is the burger worth the hype, no. I feel Sonic is better, as is Hardee's. I would compare a Whataburger to Braums. We tried it, it didn't make us sick, so that a win. It's up to you, but if you already have a favorite burger joint, stick with that one. So immediately coming to this Whataburger I was judging it, mostly because I've lived in Texas for the last seven years so I would say I'm a well seasoned Whataburger fanatic. The burgers are huge, but so is my love for them. So I waited at this location for an hr until I could order, which felt ridiculous, but I needed to experience a little bit of Texas today. I was shocked when I got my food and everything was hot and fresh. The onion rings were the freshest Whataburger onion rings I've had in a really long time and the sweet and spicy bacon burger was juicy, hot, and way better than a lot of the locations I've eaten at in Austin. I don't know how a location outside of Texas is better than the ones down there but y'all are off to a great start. And thanks for the 4 spicy ketchup. My dog also approved. read more

I'm from Texas, but it's been a long time since I've lived there. The drive through is very poorly managed, so I opted to go inside. There were many employees working hard, then there were a few milling around like they didn't have a clue what needed to be done. Hey there! The tea container is empty can we disturb your social time to fill it up? While waiting 15 minutes for my order I never saw anyone come out and check on the dining room other than to bring food to the tables. I also observed a few wrong orders go back to the kitchen. Looks like the place is poorly managed and more training is needed. My hamburger was ok, but not as good the Texas ones I remember. The quality of the meat didn't seem the same. Early evening drive through lines were crazy busy so we went inside. The order to product delivery was well executed. Very little wait time. The cashiers and floor manager were very polite and extremely helpful to everyone. They deserve a 5. The only dig I have to give is that the trash receptacles were overfilled with trash. Meanwhile, 3 younger employees inside on the sales floor sitting on the wall, cleaning, and standing there talking while there are at least 25 cars in the double drive through. My family came for a late lunch at 1:30 and the place was packed. The staff was struggling to keep up. I overheard a customer asking for a trash bag as he was offering to clean up the overflowing trash. We had to ask for a towel to clean off a table to sit at. Putting that and the nearly 30 minute wait time for our meal aside, the food was delicious. This was our first time eating at a Whataburger; we will come back. Upon entry the you could tell this Whataburger was new by its cleanliness. The staff was super nice and knowledgeable about what ingredients came on certain burgers when asked. The food is great! Service with a smile. It just opened so lines are long and food wait times are long during peak hours. 3 of the managers are rude and condescending to their employees. I highly suggest that you think long and hard about getting a job there. They pick and choose who gets the hours as I was promised 34-36 hours a week but only scheduled for 19. Training sucks!! Little to NO training or orientation for that matter. And they forgot to pay me my first check so now I have to wait. NOT GOOD BUSINESS!!! No one is willing to work for free. If I could give 0 stars I would. Arrived a little after 1:30 and ordered at least $25 worth of food, sat in the corner and we were respectful. After about 30 minutes the older man in orange shirt yells "you can't use a vape in here" I said "oh okay, sorry", not even 30 seconds later the supervisor comes out, with an extremely nasty attitude (this is the first time I had even seen or spoke to him) and says I watched you on the camera hit your vape and you are banned from coming back and if you hit it again we will be forced to call the cops, was never told/given a warning other than the other worker who just mentioned it 30 seconds prior, just kicked us out. After we leave TWO police officers arrive and park behind us, then pull into the drive thru. All for hitting a vape??? The worst experience I've ever had In customer service and I WORK in customer service. I will never be back to this location and I HIGHLY advise going up the road about 6 minutes to the other location. read more
