Whataburger is a good chain--the same food and menu at every location. But it also has he same issues at every location, and this one takes the cake on long waits. With an every day crowd, it can take 15 minutes just to get a burger. On a Sunday with the after church crowd--maybe six or seven people in line inside--we waited 19 minutes from order time to getting our food called. To make it worse, orders were being called randomly with people several orders ahead and after us getting their food together. In our case, three orders were called all at once after five minutes of no orders coming out. The staff are always polite and friendly, even with large crowds, and I've seen them cleaning the tables and waiting areas throughout the day. By the wait time is ridiculous. It simply doesn't qualify as fast food when it's the same wait time as at a dine-in restaurant. If you are okay with the wait, it's a good Whataburger. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. They are set up with 2 drive through lanes and it is horrible. Staff doesn't care that one lane sits still for 15-20 min while the other line is moving fine. They don't consider apologizing for the wait time or even smile when they finally serve their customers. I've come here 4 times since November 1 with virtually the same drive thru experience all 4 times - one time I was in the fast moving lane which meant I got to watch while 4-5 people in front of me were served but the truck at the front of the other line did not move at all. I saw his one little bag get walked out as I was pulling away. I realize today was crazy busy. But this time on top of the wait I got the wrong order. And it was cold - like didn't even sit under the heat lamp after being made cold. I went inside to try to get my order corrected but was told I would have to stand in the very long line first - even though I held up both my bag and receipt and said, "but my order is wrong." So I left, trashing my order on the way our, and went to Subway instead. The management should be ashamed. Doubt if this review makes a difference for such a large popular burger chain.. but I need to vent as I sit here eating dry pancakes. after waiting 30 minutes in the SLOW drive thru line for something to eat- I was told to drive up and wait even longer for them to bring out my pancakes. She asked what condiments and I said butter and syrup. Such a disappointment- no syrup. No fork. I guess it was irresponsible for me not to check my bag for these necessities when eating pancakes.. and then when noticing it wasn't there, Park, get out my car at 11pm, walk inside in my night clothes (defeating the purpose of going thru the drive thru) and Get my own syrup and fork to eat it. This Whataburger is very close to my home and on the rare occasions I'm craving a burger I'll head here. Never a problem. I usually go drive through around lunch time and Vicky usually works the drive through and she is the best. This is a Whataburger, and for what it is, I have no false expectations. January 16th, 2:35 am. I decided to stop in to prepare myself for the long drive ahead. Work was grueling today; 12 hours with what seemed like no end in sight. Is was fairly easy for the lady on the other end of the intercom to sum up my day just by hearing my voice. Her hearty chuckle immediately perked me up. I'm usually not one to make a special request, but after the day I've had, I want to feel special; she, without hesitation, obliged in full. Today my husband went to Whataburger at Shadowcreek. Made his order then payed. Drove up to the window to get get his food and the attendant was not wearing gloves or a mask. She handed him his food and he had to throw it all away. People handling food should be wearing gloves and a mask! We have picked up dinners and they always have masks and gloves on. We just sat in line for 57 minutes (we time the drive thru spots we visit just for kicks and to see who's the fastest) waiting for our food. Two lanes open, and we chose lane "B" because there were fewer cars in it. Shortly after we give our order, a guy came out with our drink and a POS tablet (think Chick-fil-A). We pay for our meal and wait. 20 mins go by, we've inched up a bit and put the car in park. Another 20 mins go by and I've counted at least 8 cars from the A lane get their food and leave. We're starving at this point, but we've paid already and blocked in by cars. Another 15 and not only more cars from lane A, but two cars behind us got their food and had to squeeze past us to get out. The car in front of us finally leaves and I go to park. BF heads inside to fetch our food and ask for a refund. They tell him he needs a receipt in order to get a refund, then hand him the bag of food. What crazy complicated mess of stuff did we order, you may wonder? A plain cheeseburger, medium fry, and medium Sprite. That's all. Absolutely never again. After asking for the manager, She walked over with an attitude,grabbed the food after I pointed out THE HAIR and told me she would remake them. She never asked what we had, So what she remade is beyond us. We waited another 10/15 minutes for our food to be remade, & The manager threw in a apple pie. On December 26th around 9 p.m. I went to this Whataburger on Shadow Creek Pkwy. I have not had an issue with their food in the past. However, I ordered a Whataburger Bacon and Jr. Cheeseburger (normal fixings, no more/no less)w/ small fries and a drink. After an hour my stomach felt really upset and sour. You can guess where I spent most the night at. I don't know what was wrong with the food to make me so sick. Could be several different reasons or just one (food temperature, cross contamination, mishandling of food ‍). The next day around 5:30 in the morning I was able to get some sleep, but my stomach was still upset and things hadn't gone back to normal if you get my drift. I really hope this was a one off, because I am a fan of Whataburger. I hope this doesn't happen to any of you. I can't see myself going back for a while. read more
