Needs to close rehire, retrain, retain quality workers. Started off ok, some dnd or majik the gathering players frequently posted there, odd but didn't cause any problems, then homeless guy looking out of it(unstable), finally burger order was eat it, it was sacked up to go, I sit down take it out, covered in mayo- I didn't order any nor should it have been on burger, ask politely for a remake. I am a huge fan of Whataburger. Been going to Whataburger for years while on business trips to Texas. So you can imagine my excitement when Whataburger decided to build a restaurant within 2 miles of my house. After several years of construction delays I was first customer in line to open the restaurant. They gave me a huge bag of goodies and merchandise, but the key item was 52 free Whataburgers. This is where the happiness ends. The restaurant is poorly run. Wait times are ridiculously long regardless of whether you go through the drive thru or inside. My most recent debacle was I had to yell my order 4 times through the microphone because they had intercom issues. After waiting 32 minutes in line I get to the window and they tell me they don't know how to ring up the free burger coupon. I drove off with no food. That's it. I'm done. I love the food, but the service is atrocious. read more

Oh my gosh - WE FINALLY HAVE A WHATABURGER!!!! Oh my gosh - what a disappointment. I walked right in and had my order taken. About 10 minutes later, my food was brought to my table - a Whataburger sans onion and mustard and an order of onion rings. I thought 10 minutes was a little long for "fast" food but I figured they had to making the rings fresh. If they did, then they must have cooked them for 5 minutes and stuck them in the fridge for 5 more. They were lukewarm. I rarely ever get onion rings but, to my dismay, they were terrible. I ate a couple anyway but they just weren't worth the calories. My burger was no warmer - not even warm enough to melt the cheese. It was just slapped together on the bun - a sloppy mess. Yelp, you nailed it. I've been here enough to say my opinion conforms with yours as of 2/2023. There are several reasons Whataburger should have just taken over the old Chick-fil-A building instead of building new. For one, some of the former good management might've rubbed off on them. For another, a red light would've been a blessing-- it is next to impossible to get out of this joint! This place desperately needs MANAGEMENT! I walked in at 11:05 AM, nobody greeted me inside but they were trying to look busy to avoid interaction. It was so obvious!! Three customers were impatiently standing there with their receipts. I hit the drive through which looked like it might be faster (three cars ahead of me). Wrong. When I did finally get to the window, they told me they were only taking cash. Then they change the story and told me they could take my card to the register and make it work that way. Five minutes or so past after I paid, then someone different asked me what order I was waiting on. I showed him my receipt. He came back a second time and asked me if I had paid. How old earth would I have a receipt if I had not paid? Finally, I got my bag. I left at 11:45AM with what I hope are three burgers and fries valued at an average of $11 each. Everything is bigger in Texas, including the price tags... this restaurant is from Texas. They should take some of the profit margin and collaborate with Warner Bros. for a Looney Tunes commercial... because these people are crazy! Zero stars if I could. Avoid this location. For the drive thru, I've experienced a nearly 100% error rate on the orders, including just now. If you do go, check your order. This was my first time trying whataburger. I came around lunch and there was o lot one car I front of me. I ordered quickly but did have to wait longer than I expected for the food. It seemed that the fries were very fresh; so it's possibly that this co tributes to the wait. The burger overall was average, but certainly not bad. The fries were fresh which made them more delicious - but could have used some more seasoning. I will say we tried to come here one time before in the evening and the drive through line was very long and slow moving - and just as we were 1 car away from ordering there was a "situation" inside that lead up to them shutting down the lobby and the drive through. read more

Ordered a #2 meal to-go. This is my first time ever having Whataburger. My friend from Texas would rave about it all the time. Well, I finally had a chance to go. First off, this is a true burger. I'm so sick of burger places making a thick burger rather than a wide burger. I prefer wide. Two, the bread wasn't too thick. In the drive thru you have to wait 20 minutes in order to get your order taken. Wait another 20 minutes to get your food at the window. Just to get COLD, STALE Food .... Granted it was midnight. To begin with, I'm from Texas where Whataburger began. And where I have had many a burger over the decades. So today I ordered a number 2. It's a new place that opened up in December. With that a month has passed and perhaps the new business glitches have settled down and the operation is running smoothly. The friendly service is similar to what I've experienced in my home state. My double meat #2 arrived in a timely manner. The familiar flavors are definitely there! The bun is fresh and maybe a bit better than average. It's a beefy burger with the right amount of mustard and mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato pickle and onions. This IS a Whataburger that is as good or maybe even better than in Texas!! I just went here for the first time after their grand opening, curious see how their food is. I ordered the jalapeno and cheese burger meal and it was pretty bad. The fries were ok. The toppings on the burger were good but it seemed like the burger patty and bun had been sitting around for a really long time. This surprised me because they were really busy. First Whataburger experience! I ordered a #2 double whataburger and chili cheese fries. Burger was super dry like it had been sitting out all day. The burger had been overloaded with lettuce and no ketchup. My partner also ordered a burger and had an issue with it being dry and somehow just had meat and ketchup on it when it was stated that they wanted cheese. We literally said "McDonald's burgers are better." Never had a burger SO DRY. Fries were average. Gave it 2 stars cause the service was nice and the chili on the fries were pretty good. read more

Food is good, but service is terrible. Placed an online order with inside pick up. Took them about 5 minutes to even talk to me at the register. Not a huge deal, but then I waited 25 minutes past pick up time to receive my order. The only thing the Manager said to me when he saw I was waiting was 1) Asking my name, then 2) Maybe 10 minutes later walking by and stating my name in the form of a question. Nothing else. No we're working on that, apologies for the delay, etc...The other Manager seemed more concerned about prepping condiments than serving their customers. Once I finally received my order they handed me my milkshake with no lid. And again, no "I'm sorry for your wait, etc..." Then my next visit I went through the drive-thru in the morning. No other customers in the store, and I was the only person in the drive-thru. After paying i'm still waiting 10-12 minutes, and nobody was in sight. I knocked on the window to see if there was an issue, but nobody came so I pulled my car around and walked in. They said it was cooking. He was careless and got our order wrong when he went over it. We were finally done ordering when someone else walked in. They took his order AND AFTER 3min he got his order. He left and we were still WAITING. We ended up waiting for 30 min! The food was pretty good but definitely would not take you 30 min to make. And the workers inside were so lazy and slow! How do people actually get food here? After three visits to this location, I'm calling it quits. There is simply no way to get food in less than 20 minutes at this supposed fast food restaurant. I even started ordering on the app before leaving for the restaurant, and I still wait at least 10 minutes after arriving at the pick up area at the designated time. It doesn't matter what time of day. There is always a disgruntled crowd waiting. Something about the process is broken here. I honestly don't get it. Today I waited 25 minutes total. The food I received was cold. As in, the cheese wasn't even melted on the burgers, and the fries were hard and stale. How? If you want a basic burger, fries, and milkshake, go to Jack's next door. If you need those grilled jalapeños and spicy ketchup in your life, be prepared to wait. Good luck getting any of their limited time offerings as well. I never did get that Dr. Pepper milkshake that looked so good. Whenever I tried to get it, either the machine was down, or they were out of the mix. They said we will brew more. They announced coffee available but when I went to fill it was same cold coffee and still not filled. No employees around. They were all outside outback. I'll start this off by saying - we actually like Whataburger. Anytime we go up to Birmingham or around that area we grab lunch there, have always enjoyed it and had a great experience. I also know this place just opened but our first experience there was AWFUL. When we got there, there was security directing traffic to get cars into different lanes, out of the road. This seemed like a good start because I've never seen a restaurant besides ChickFilA actually care about something like that. We were put into the left lane and noticed that the right lane was moving lightning fast, cars coming and going like crazy while we were sitting there...not moving at all. We got there at 615 and didn't get to the window to order until 6:45. When we got to the window we realized that they had someone in the right lane taking orders and she was taking multiple car orders before even one order was taken at the window on our side so it made sense why the right lane was moving so quickly and this was also infuriating. From the window when we ordered to the window to pay and get food it was 7pm. Once I paid they gave me my drinks and then I was asked to move forward. I moved forward and while we sat there we noticed them bringing out food for customers who were 5 cars in line behind the ones in front waiting for their food which made no sense. In terms of our stuff I noticed I was missing a drink as well so when they finally brought out our food I told them were missing a drink and then he want back in to get it, in that time I waited for our drink I checked out food he had just given us and it was missing 2 meals. He came back out I told him I was missing 2 meals and what they were. We sat and waited and waited as they brought out food for others behind us in the other lane and then I had some people come out to ask me what was wrong and still there, I told them I was waiting on our food that was missing. We finally get the food we're missing and go home...we got home at 8pm!!! When we sit down to eat not only was our food cold but the burgers we got were incorrect. To say I was extremely irate is an understatement. We have no plans on going back for a long while. Not a well run establishment. On a Sunday afternoon, we chose to dine-in and was welcomed by the cashier. With our back to the other Whataburger patrons, we made a purchase for three (hungry toddler included) and when we turned to find our seat we noticed no one has food. There were limited seats with what looked to an unlimited wait for many people. We were number 89 and there were people waiting with the high 60s. Not one person had there food. After waiting 30 minutes with a hungry baby in tow, we decided to call it and do a refund. The refund took longer than it should. Looks like training and employees willing to work are a huge problem here. Lots of teenagers learning bad work ethics and getting a free check. Look elsewhere for your Whataburger fix. read more

People keep telling me how amazing whataburger is and how it is better than In N Out, so I tried it, and they must have no tastebuds and a lot of patience. Walking in, I noticed that the place was terribly dirty with sauce and fries everywhere. There were 9 employees, and it took 10 minutes for the young man at the register to take my order. I then waited 35 minutes (I was eating there) for my order to be ready. While waiting, several of the employees were standing behind the counter, chatting away. When the food came, I went to get napkins... there were none. I also went to get a straw and lid for my drink.... there were none. I sat at the cleanest table in the place, and it still had salt all over, and I slipped on a smashed fry under the table. The food was subpar and lukewarm. I do not recommend eating at this location or the Huntsville location, as I have heard it is just as bad. So, no... In N Out is still better, in fact, I'd rather eat at McDonald's than try whataburger again. read more
