We are then asked to wait in our car in one of the pick up parking spots and they never come out so we have to go in to retrieve the order. This location was clean, which is very important, but definitely understaffed. I will say I went at midnight, but it took me 30 minutes to get my food with no one in front of me. The fries were fresh so that was great. The bun on the burger was cold. The onion rings as you can see were cooked in very old oil so those went in the trash. Whataburger was a disappointment. This was my first time having it, and I had high expectations because people were saying that it's better than In-N-Out (one person in my group in particular said that too). Although I haven't had In-N-Out in a while, I can assure you that this is NOT better than it. I ordered a #2 Double Meat Whataburger without customizing it and a large french fries (~$10). I also ordered an apple pie for around $2 at the end of my meal to try it out. The burger was dry and flavorless. I couldn't really taste anything except bland meat and an assortment of toppings that did not mesh well. It was almost like a Whopper but worse. And the bread is kinda stale too like it doesn't have any wrinkles. Definitely not better than In-N-Out. The french fries, on the other hand, were really good! They were cooked perfectly, not too salty, and nice and thin. Definitely better than In-N-Out! The apple pie was standard. Nothing will beat McDonald's apple pies back in the day when they were fried, but this one was not bad. It was fresh--meaning that it came steaming hot--but was lacking flavor... specifically, cinnamon. No cinnamon in an apple pie is an L for me. Still not bad though. Overall, kinda meh. Maybe back in the day--as with all fast food chains--it was amazing and so much better, but it sucked. I don't care what anyone else says. I don't care what my friend group says. Waited to review after bringing my daughter twice as she is the only one who likes it. Both times has a been a disaster. Wait time is ridiculous not because the lines were that long. There's was a total of 6 cars including us. The food should be fresh off the oven we we are waiting 25 minutes for a simple hamburger and fries (not cool as they have been sitting out in the cold). There are two lanes for service but only the main one taking orders, so who ever is running the shift missed basic placements of cones. You put them before the lane not after. It was greasy, flavorless, fries were the tips and ends and were SO salty we had to wipe them on napkins. Asked for mustard and ketchup on my burger. It came dry. Went to get it at the counter and waited over 5 minutes for the condiments- even though no other customers were there. This was the 3rd and last time I will have been to this Whataburger location. I think 3 chances is enough visits to determine if you'll get good food and service. Every time we have been here there has been some sort of issue whether it's been an issue with the ungodly amount of time waiting for an order or quality of the food. I have waited less time in upscale restaurants. This is in no shape or way a "FAST" food establishment. If you have hours to waste off your life, this is the place for you. My burger was ice cold to the touch... felt like it had been sitting by its lonesome outside in the parking lot overnight. I don't know why I gave them 2 more chances to get it right after the first debacle when they first opened. I waited well over an hour to get a drive thru order. The owner of this franchise should be ashamed of the quality of all facets of his business. I know I would. It's an embarrassment to Lebanon. My first try of the whataburger since the franchise moved in to MIddle Tennessee. I have noticed the long lines and didn't wish to stop to deal with that. So after several days of driving by, I pulled in when the drive thru was about half full. A wait of 8 minutes to get to the speaker and I ordered a double cheeseburger with ketchup only and fries. They have you pull up and wait. They bring out food sequentially in the line. After 10 minute wait I got my food. It was freshly cooked and hot. The burgers are large compared to other fast food chains. Very juicy, I would give them a higher review of 5 stars for the food but knock them down 1 notch for the 20 minutes it takes to get the food. I hope they can figure out a way to improve the speed. read more

I came in today to get a burger for lunch. Everything was going pretty smooth until I sat down at my table to wait on my dine-in order. I usually wash my hands before I eat, so I got up to do so. On my way to the restroom, the manager was pulling the cash drawer from the dining area. As she's doing so, she looks over to the cashier and says "why is she eating like that?" talking about one of her employees while they enjoyed their lunch. While she said this, she had a disgusted look on her face, and the cashier giggled. This manager was a blonde lady, with a pikachu tattoo on her arm. I believe her name to be "Brianna". However, the young lady trying to enjoy her lunch, and I say this with nothing but respect, was overweight. Not that it matters, but it seems evidentially obvious that this manager is being absolutely disrespectful, disgusting, and just a bully. As a Project Manager myself, I give nothing but respect to employees I have to oversee. Managers with the mindset of frowning upon employees based off their appearance, is not a manager at all. This location will no longer have my business. However, the food was good. So, I'll visit a location outside of Lebanon Also, Teo is such a nice guy. UPDATE: I wrote the review below this morning from the last time I went a few weeks ago. I decided to go again this morning (because writing the review made me want Whataburger). I placed my order at 10:42 with a nice employee in drive thru (only two employees this time, instead of four). There were 6 cars ahead of me in my line when I ordered. I left the drive thru with hot food at 10:49. I don't know if it's a one-off or if they've finally hit their stride, but today was MUCH better. Keep it up, Whataburger! 3-star rating solely because I know it can be better, but it's horrifyingly slow, so it lost 2 stars. As a Texan who grew up eating Whataburger, I feel bad for everyone who's never had it prior to this location. What is normally a really great fast food chain with hot, fresh food...fast... is a terribly slow location that seems poorly run. I've worked in fast food. I get it if there's a drive thru line wrapped around the building, but even then it shouldn't take an hour for an order... especially if there are only 3 cars in line. It should take *maybe* 15 minutes tops when you're still figuring it out. As a side note: they need to not have 4 employees taking orders in a 2-lane drive thru. There should be one employee per line. If all you've got staffed for the day is front-of-house employees, then you need to be cross-training your staff to get more people in the kitchen, or hire more kitchen employees than you have right now. It's a new location that's bound to have its hiccups, but these are not hiccups. It's a lack of care for getting food to your customers that's well-made and in a timely manner. Even the location in the Hermitage was MUCH faster when they opened, with both dining and drive open and ready to go. (Not to mention basically every other location that exists as well, but I digress.) Additional note, should Whataburger ever see this: DON'T OPEN A RESTAURANT IF YOU CANNOT OPEN BOTH THE DINING ROOM AND THE DRIVE THRU. It has no business being open if it's not ready to be *fully* open. I would have rather waited another two months for the whole restaurant to open than how it's operating now. And I'm almost certain it doesn't help the pace when the inside isn't even ready to have customers. If you've never had Whataburger prior to here, please don't let this taint your decision to try it somewhere else...it gives a poor first impression. I truly hope they pick up the pace and give these Tennesseans the fresh, fast, and delicious Whataburger that Texans know and love. Will update if it changes. read more

The new one on Hwy 109 opened about a week ago was a disappointing experience. Went there on Mother's Day around 2pm ordering the chicken sandwich drink and fries. Well the fries looked soggy and limp and not very appetizing but I tried a couple. They were terrible and had a bad greasy aftertaste the chicken sandwich was ok but not anything special. May try again in a month or so , this area is growing like crazy. read more

My husband used them for a burger on his 2nd visit and the coupon didn't help. We even called corporate about the raw chicken sandwich and they didn't really care about our experience. read more

My BIL who lives in Texas loves Whataburger, so I was excited to find one in Lebanon when I returned from CA. I had an avocado bacon burger without pepper sauce & on a regular bun. Very tasty!! When they bring the food, she had a tray with condiments on it (salt, pepper, dipping sauces) in case I wanted anything, which I thought was cool. Not a long wait to order or receiving our food. Surprised to discover they are open 24hrs & serve breakfast from 11pm to 11am. We'll return for sure...gotta check out breakfast! read more

The workers were friendly and polite. The restaurant t was clean. We went for breakfast. I cannot recommend the chicken honey biscuit, it was soaked in honey. The honey was cheap tasting. I have been to this location several times. The first few times were fine,but the last two times were terrible. If you're in a hurry DO NOT go for though the drive thru. I just went through and it took 25 mins. not an exaggeration. I waited and waited. All I had was a burger nothing crazy. The car behind me definitely got their food faster than I did.
