I love me some Whataburger, so I can forgive a lot. But this location is constantly a disappointment. They are pretty much the only game in town close enough to a large number of freight liners that they are always packed beyond comprehension. Given this, they should always have fresh tea and fresh fries. However, I've never come here and gotten either. Today the fries were COLD the second the girl handed me the bag. Not luke-warm, COLD. And the sweet tea was so old it had already turned. Now, I know about sweet tea made with real sugar, it has a short life span. Every time that I come home to Texas, the first thing that I do is get a Jalapeno Whataburger with cheese. It's greasy and fattening and oh so good. They have had the option of jalapenos on their stuff for as Long as I can remember, way before any other Fast food joint. I normally don't go in for fast food, I will indulge my nostalgia with food that I can't get in Cali. I get it, Whataburger is a Texas thing, but I keep hoping it is going to be great, and it ends up just OK. I give this one 3 stars for these reasons: 1 star for the excellent customer service - the staff was pretty nice and helpful, not rude. 1 star for the cleanliness - I've seen whataburgers that were gross and not clean, but this one was good, floors clean, tables clean, just like you like it. 1 star for the food - only one star because the bun was really like mushed onto my food. I had the chophouse cheddar burger, and while it had some good flavors going on, it was really dry. If I could give no stars I would!!!! Waited in line for 2 hours! Got to the window finally and all the employees just kept walking by! No one would look at us! Finally someone came by and said they closed?! All the cars in front of us were served food! No one came out to the line and said they were closed just let the cars remain waiting in line. Don't go here! The service is good depending on who's working the drive thru. But what's most important is the food. My whole order was cold, not one fry or burger in my order was fresh or hot. My chicken strips were cold and seemed like they'd been sitting for a while. If you want good service, Whataburger of 183 and near story always gives fresh food and good service. The staff was friendly and all smiles. This was our first visit to a Whataburger. The manager guided us thru the menu to just the right order for each of us. Our food was brought to our table the perfect temperature. The manager stop by our table, not obtrusively, to see if we were happy with our selection. Our Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger and Whataburger were perfect. We are glad we stopped at this location for our intro to the Whataburger restaurant. read more

You're darn right I gave Whataburger 5 stars! This is the only fast food chain I've ever been to that makes decent buttermilk pancakes from scratch. They are so darn good! I also love their chicken biscuit. The biscuit taste fresh, it's always hot and flaky but never crumbly. Also, they make a solid burger and they've never gotten my order wrong.
