I have been a fan of Whataburger my entire Texan life. That is no longer the case after today. My family completed an online app order on August 28, 2021. We went to pick up the order, and I was told no fountain drinks were available with the meals already purchased. No refund was issued, and the careless attitude was not appreciated by this establishment. I filed a complaint on their 1-800-6burger on that date, followed up in September, and still today (November 17) no return call from the Whataburger team has happened. I phoned again this morning, and after speaking to "Jay, like the letter" I realized her careless attitude was not going anywhere. She informed me "she doesn't get paid for her opinion after I asked if this was acceptable for a complaint made three months ago. That feeling that Whataburger does not care for their customers is the message I received LOUD AND CLEAR. All she stated was she could do another follow-up, and only corporate could handle refunds. Your customer service is a dead end with no resolution. With this experience, I will no longer be a patron of this establishment and make sure everyone I know hears my experience. I also have not purchased another meal from your establishment since, and have deleted the app. Hopefully, this will be a training moment for your customer service agents and local staff because the lack of care from your employees is unacceptable. read more

Here's what I see. Person A takes tray of food to table then goes back to make food. Person A helps someone at the counter (touches the screen) then goes back to make food. Person A brings food out to waiting car (touches door handles) then goes back to make food. Person A helps at the counter again but this times complete the order by taking cash payment and giving cash change to customer then goes back to making food. Here's the problem Person A touches every single thing in the store with the same blue latex gloves, handles money Not once does he change gloves or wash his hands but still handle food. I don't like seeing it but it happens a lot in fast food places. Having gloves on is even worse than not having gloves on because they will not wash their hands because their hands don't feel dirty. They won't change it because management probably won't allow it due to costs. Person A is multitasking (probably shift manager) but if he's going to handle food then he must wash his hands or change gloves. Anyhoo I ordered a whataburger jr, 2 patty melt, chicken strip meals and 2 apple pies. My burger was good (for some reason they left out the onions). The French fries were fresh but I think they pulled it a little early cause it didn't have that golden color. Wait wasn't too long. Just watching person A makes me not want to come in the dining room. I'm just going to order from the drive thru so I don't see these kind of unsanitary practices. read more

Being first in the drive through and putting in an order at 9:57 you would like to think they hand you a #2 with jalapeño n bacon at a decent time but No , after paying and being told to pull up it took 14 minutes to get an order while watching the last two cars behind me get their meals . When I asked to why I was being skipped all the aHole worker that handed me a cold burger and fries was "idk" and their Back . Went back to get a refund, manager was okay. This Whataburger is the closest location to where I live, but unfortunately, it is pretty disappointing in terms of food service time, how long it took for us to get this 'fast food'. The cashier was friendly, but after that, it was a total bummer with service. It seems as if no one is working. But watching the drive-thru line zoom by, it would've been better and faster to go through drive-thru. TIP: GO THROUGH DRIVE-THRU IF YOU WANT YOUR FOOD FASTER. I ordered my favourite, the Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich. It is also one of their All-Time Favourites, so they should always have their ingredients ready... apparently they didn't. It took about 20 minutes for me to get my food. It was extremely frustrating to have waited that long for 'fast food'. I looked around the restaurant and there were 10 customers. Of the 10 customers dining in, only 3 customers had gotten their food. The rest of us, including myself, were clearly getting irritated; pretty much all of us were staring at the kitchen wondering what is going on... A final word though, the only thing saving this review from being 1 star is the fact that my sandwich came out and it was at least piping hot and fresh (so at least it was freshly made) and the Texas toast was cooked to perfection, perfectly crispy and buttery (unlike sometimes when it would be dry and not so appetising... it's usually a hit-or-miss, though I usually don't mind). read more

Just lived the scariest thing in the world, I decided to get a burger and went to this locations (drive thru) I rolled down my window to give payment and as I did so roaches jumped on my car and in my car, and i Dont mean 1-2 it's was more like 6/8 roaches that are just crawling around this place, I literally was attacked by all these roaches that entered my car from having my windows down for 2 min. Please exterminate your establishment, I couldn't even eat my food this place is crawling in roaches. Worst whataburger I've ever been too. Orders are always wrong, always take forever and you WILL be overcharged. Avoid at all costs. I mean, seriously, who charges you for a large onion ring, gives you a medium onion ring and tells you "we're out of large onion ring containers so we gave you a medium" but doesn't refund you the cost difference? and then they dont even offer to give you ketchup? I only visited this place once, but from that one visit, I must say that this Whataburger is pretty much the best I've gone to. I went inside to make a to go order. Didn't really know what I wanted, so I asked the crew member to give me some time. She was more than obliged to give me my space and time to order. Still stumped on what my taste buds desired, I asked her about the portion sizes of their 550 calorie menu. She gave me some great insight that convinced me to taste the 550 or less Whataburger Jr. which was REALLY GOOD! Just the right size too! Not a big thin fry connoisseur, but fresh fries are always a winner in my book! When I asked for some water, she gave me a regular size cup to quench my thirst rather than a thimble size disposable cup that no lid will fit on--THANK YOU! Besides being courteous and fast, nothing else to say about this Whataburger but WHATARESTAURANT! This location is staffed by some of the most air headed people I've very had the misfortune to encounter. We have come to this location numerous times and there is always an issue at the drive through, making the process more complicated than need be, and more lengthy as well. To top it off we get home pretty much every time and there will be at least one item missing or one meal that is incorrectly made. For a place that advertises their ability to craft untold versions of a burger, they have a hard damn time making substitutions from the norm. WOST Whataburger ever! They can never get orders right. Maybe if you order the wrong thing they might get it right. Oh and if you order through doordash, they don't even care. Terrible experience. I ordered burger no mustard, large onion rings and drink. She gives me a medium-sized cup. I let that go, their cups are already mammoth so it's ok. I drive home, open my burger and of course, mustard. I drive all the way back, explain the situation and they go to remake it. I check my burger when its served and yup, still mustard. Again they go to make it again and of course again mustard. Now the cook screams from the back..."what, you want like mayonnaise or something?" I said yes but just no mustard, insert eye roll. I ordered the buffalo ranch chicken strip meal and the first time they only gave me a drop of ranch and two drops of buffalo, TODAY they gave me the whole bottle of ranch on my sandwich with NO buffalo.
