This is a joke of a whataburger! I pulled in at 7:49 after seeing multiple cars do the same, we sat there waiting for about 5 mins before we pulled up and saw nobody inside... after i try opening the dining room doors we notice an employee just chilling in her car & next thing i know what looks like the manager finally shows up after an hour of their opening time, saying "their was an emergency with the overnight crew" lol at 8 am i don't care what excuse she pulls out of her ass that's lazy and a shit business person SMH still love whataburger not this one tho! read more

Do not come to this location, waited in line for a very long time and once we finally got our food there was a bug in the bag crawling, would not recommend this location! read more

Slowest whataburger I've ever been to... and most are slow. Not only were they slow but my burger was cold and my fries were undercooked and they only filled the fry bag 1/2 full. On top of that, instead of bringing me my food by looking for my number like most whataburgers, they called my number out (loudly and rudely) and just left my food there. They did accidentally give me a large coffee shake over a small so at least that was nice. I love whataburger and I get that they can be super busy but this one wasn't even busy. Won't be going back here read more

We eat at Whataburger often, and expect to wait, but this location was ridiculous!! We waited in line for over 45 min and eventually just left! After reading the other reviews, it appears to be common for this location. read more

Horrible customer service. Kelsey, who worked the cashier, acted like she didn't want to serve my wife and I. She did not greet us like she did with previous customer (FYI white customer) ahead of us. We asked her to read aloud our order and basically ignored us. Flies everywhere which indicated that they don't upkeep their building and questionable handling of the food. When we asked for the manager, this flamboyant kid, Anthony, answered the call. He was rude and hung up on us. Never in our life had this kind of experience at any Whataburger. Adding Whatabuger on our shit list. Excuse my language. read more

If you're looking for a quick and easy late night snack/meal don't even bother wasting your time at this location. I love Whataburger in general! But this location without fail always takes FOREVER! The service is terrible at night time; we literally waited in the drive thru line for 30+ minutes for a few taquitos. read more

This was a treat for a californian out of towner! For those of you who know what a California Bob's Big Boy is, you'll enjoy Whataburger. That's genuinely the only comparison I could make, and I wolfed down my selection in true big boy fashion. We need one of you in my home town! read more

I felt compelled to write this review prior to receiving my food since I had so much time to do so. I've been in line about 30 minutes thus far. Had I not been trapped in line, I'd have left. Insanely slow. I don't expect my order to be hot, warm, or correct. read more

Go for the incredible burgers. They may be the perfect expression of a fast food burger that's dripping grease like a leaky faucet. That said, you should probably keep it to once a week. Expect poor service. I waited 12 minutes in drive thru for one burger no fries, with three cars in front of me. The drive thru speaker doesn't work reliably, and they struggle to hear your order. When you pull up remember to ask for napkins, cause they're likely not in the bag and you will certainly need them. TL/DR: Delicious heart attack in a bag, amusing service. Don't come in a time crunch. read more

Took forever to seriously get a kids meal and a #1 at the drive thru at 3pm. Not even during lunch. We sat at the window and watched what appears to be the manager just sit there. After over 5 minutes of waiting at the window for food we didn't even get a "sorry for the wait" from the employee. She just handed us the food and closed the window. read more

If you are in a hurry avoid this Whataburger. Twice burned by excessive wait ( only two cars in line! ). Will not stop here again.

Giddings TX whataburger is so disgusting food is always sloppy and not fresh horrible place to get food wait til you get to Austin to eat whataburger managers don't care they don't even deserve 1 star but I had to give them 1 read more

See all

As a general course of business, Whataburger already ranks high in my fast food rolls due to its penchant for making its food fresh, its 24 hour availability, and its delectable chicken tender strips, whether enjoyed with white gravy or within their delicious honey biscuits as a sandwich. The burgers seem to have very fresh ingredients, much like In'n'out. However, this particular whataburger also featured a very friendly staff, both on the phone and in the drive through. They promptly came out and helped to push a stalled car that was having trouble in their lot, too! At 2 in the morning!! read more

Here visiting from California and stopped by for breakfast. The service and food were excellent!! Ms.Melosone was very attentive and made sure me and my entire family were okay read more

I give this place 5 stars because I love how they are an equal opportunity employer and provide opportunities to folks with special needs. Gilbert is so great at his job and glad he is part of the Whataburger family in Giddings. I personally have not had bad service there and the food is always good. read more

Good food but the slowest fast food place in the world. I''ve been sitting in the drive thru line (it's just me) for 10 minutes as I type this. Thought I could get a quick breakfast before work. Never again. read more

This was about the worst fast food experience I have EVER had. I waited in the drive through line for a whole hour. It took thirty minutes to get to the order station and when we ordered we were asked to wait for about 10 minutes and then to repeat our order. Once we got up to the window it again took a VERY long time to get our food. Definitely NOT WORTH IT. I do NOT recommend this location, other than that I love whataburger. read more

I've stopped at this Whataburger early in the morning several times on the way from Austin to Houston. The food is pretty standard for Whataburger, but the service always seems a bit off, whether it's a delay in taking your order or a delay in getting the food out to you. read more

The five star rating is relative to experiences at other Whataburgers, not other restaurants in general. This is the best Whataburger in all of Austin, Houston, and anywhere in between. The employees are competent and seem to actually care about creating a pleasant dining experience, and fast (by Whataburger standards). The food is very fresh, and somehow the burgers just taste better here than other Whataburgers. We try to always make a point to stop here on a drive from Austin to Houston. read more

Worst Whataburger experience ever! My food arrived with a dead fly on the tray next to it and my order was wrong. Luckily I was only driving by and don't have to come back to this location. read more

I would like to say that I make a pit stop here when I drive from Houston to Austin. I am not only very happy with the freshly prepared food but the service is always great. I have stopped at this location a few times now and have never been disappointed. Thanks for making my long drive a pleasurable experience! read more

This is the slowest Whataburger I've ever been to! Food is pretty standard.

This is the worst fast food experience I've ever had. First the lady answering the drive through was super rude, then my friend and I were pulling up to the drive through singing a song while waiting for our food and the lady at the window told us "no singing stop" , then we were asked to pull up past the yellow lines and had to wait 30 minutes for a honey butter chicken biscuit. Not to mention the first time we received the order it was wrong and had to go through the line again. Terrible. read more

Slowest most inefficient whataburger EVER! We have been in the drive through for 39 minutes for a simple breakfast order. We couldn't leave because we were smack in the middle of other cars in the drive through. Save yourself and DO NOT stop here!!! We generally love Whataburger - but this experience was terrible. Thanks for adding 40 minutes to our trip home. read more

Seriously the worst. Forgot half of our order after waiting 10 minutes at the window. On a road trip and didn't have the energy to go back. Save your money. read more

They are very friendly here. The food is always fresh and good at this location. I am always greeted with a smile. They go out of their way to please the customers. Unlike the La Grange Watabuger where they are always rude. read more

Stopped by here on our way back from Sherwood Faire and even though there were two lines backed up, the manager and workers were SUPER friendly and took care of everyone. Wish we had this management and team back in Houston! Definitely made our day. read more

I love whataburger but this location is a dump . Bugs all over the floor , parking lot and outside has trash everywhere . Someone needs to take clean this spot up . It's disgusting. read more

Very slow.....i ordered just one large drink and i was in the drive thru for 30 minutes and no that's not an exaggeration. The staff is fine, no personal issues with them, just for some reason, every time i visit giddings (once a year) this place is sooooo slow. Please figure out how to get faster service to your loyal customers! read more

Don't waste your time going here. McDonalds of the gas station is far better than the food here. Rude staff... disgusting food!!! I could go on but frankly they aren't worth it. I'd give a zero if I could. read more

Just plain GROSS !!! The service here is the worst I have EVER had. There are several other restaurants in town don't waste your time or money here. read more
