I just cancelled my order in your drive thru. This evening I attempted to order 7 double meat Whataburger Jrs with cheese, no onions. The gentleman who took my order first told me my total was $59. I then confirmed my order and he said it would be $39.62.1 pulled up the app and the total showed, $32.51 which makes sense. I informed the young man that the total did not make sense as the burgers are $4.29 each. 7*4.3 is about $30 plus tax. He told me he "didn't know and only does what the computer says." I asked if there was a mistake he again repeated, " yeah, I don't know you can pay on the app I guess or do you want talk to a manager or something?" I said yes. The manager comes to the window, I repeated my concern I showed the Screenshot attached to the manager and she shrugged and said she didn't know either but the computer showed the $39.62. So I would need to just pay that or pay in the app. I asked why would I pay an unaccounted for extra almost $10? The manager just repeated it was "weird" but she didn't know. Seeing I was not getting anywhere with the cashier or the manager I chose to cancel and leave. 1. Are your computers overcharging in person vs online/ app orders? 2. The lack of care was extremely frustrating. Your "manager" had an attitude from the moment she came to "help". 3. A $10 discrepancy in totals and simple math should have shown the cashier and the manager that something was off. I drove away without any food due to not being able to reach a resolution with your staff. Please train your staff to be able to recognize issues without becoming visibly annoyed with customers. Your staff may feel like there was nothing they could have done to fix this, but them being open to a valid concern would have gone a long way to correct this. So I ordered my food then noticed construction going on in the kitchen food prep area. The food was mediocre the service left quite a bit to be desired and the private security guard is apparently a manager as after taking these pictures I was told to leave him alone. Oh yeah I didn't say anything to anyone I just took the picture I was actually asked by the security guard if what he was doing was ok as to which I answered no drilling metal around food prep is generally frowned upon. Ok, I hate leaving reviews, but I think this needs to happen. This Whataburger has the most incompetent employees imaginable. The food is great, it is Whataburger, but the last 3 times they have gotten my order wrong. This very morning I ordered a sausage biscuit and hash browns in the drive thru, and my hash browns weren't in the bag. Maybe it is just the to go orders, maybe it's good service inside, but the drive-thru staff is mentally deficient.
