My husband appreciates the art of roasting & brewing coffee, so I wanted to find a cupping or tasting at offered at a local shop during our stay. After doing some research, I learned that Counter Culture offers a free tasting every Friday morning at 10 am at their training center in Dallas. We normally buy their beans at HEB, so I was eager to learn more about the company. The training center itself is modern and cozy, with plenty of natural light to illuminate the glinting espresso machines lined up around the room. The team was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and helped us detect the tasting notes in the blend they offered that morning. The experience was warm and interesting! It was across the street from Pecan Lodge so that's how I found out about this place. They offer lots of items on the menu from coffee, non-coffee, pastries, etc. I ordered the large iced latte ($6.35) with a hazelnut syrup ($0.75). It was really good and a large portion. They also sell lots of merch on the side. Really love the atmosphere here.
