But xumo ruins the quality of what youre watching. The xumo streaming service that they offer as a cheaper alternative has many flaws. My bill is still $200. Plus they take away a dvr box that does 6 recordings and when there was a problem with it they gave us a 4 recording box. Then can't guarantee back to a 6 recording box. Now the fast forward option isn't working when watching the dvr. It's just one problem after another. Please don't waste your time.

BRIGHTHOUSE IS NOW SPECTRUM???? NO, IT'S NOT!…read more In EVERY aspect of their advertising, billing and online content you see the declaration, 'Brighthouse Networks is now Spectrum'. You see this prominently displayed on mailings, TV ads, and even on your monthly statement. Again, it says Brighthouse Networks is now Spectrum...... NOT SO......... I was just on the phone with 3 separate 'Spectrum' representatives, about my 'Brighthouse' account for almost THREE HOURS over a pending move issue! The first representative was excellent. I thought my issue was handled and all she had to do was hand me off to a 'retention specialist' to finalize my issue and it would be complete. During the almost 2 HOURS that I was on the phone with the first rep, she confirmed that I have been with Brighthouse Networks and I am STILL with Brighthouse Networks. She advised that IF I make any changes to my current service, then I would lose Brighthouse Legacy(as they call it) and I would become a Spectrum customer. OKAY.....SO AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO IS CONFUSED???? Oh, did I mention that once you get taken over by SPECTRUM you can expect a rather hefty RATE INCREASE? Believe it! Once I got 'handed off' to the retention specialist, the call went downhill real fast. It seems that I must be an idiot or I 'should' have known something I was not informed about as a customer. Apparently, Spectrum does not understand the concept of right versus wrong, doing the right thing and ultimately, The Customer is Always Right! The first rep had everything handled, or so I thought. But rep #2 made me repeat everything, again! Once I repeated in great detail, rep #2 directly discharged everything rep #1 had done. I would not get a fair treatment and he could do no more. After over 30 minutes with rep #2, I ended up talking with a rep #3, who purportedly was a 'supervisor' but yet had NO AUTHORITY? He had no authority to do the right thing and correct Spectrum's error! REALLY? I asked to speak to his boss or his bosses' boss, someone that DOES have the authority. That never happened, I just kept getting NO! How is it that NO ONE at Spectrum has the authority to handle my issue correctly, prudently and/or expediently? So, here I am....just short of THREE HOURS on the phone, with a sore ear, a near burn out and no customer satisfaction over a SPECTRUM ISSUE. All this from Brighthouse/Legacy/Spectrum or whatever they will be calling themselves tomorrow! If this is what we can expect from SPECTRUM, well then, NO THANKS!

like apparently everyone else who came to review:…read more I had a myriad of problems today with Spectrum. I talked to 6 (you read that right) representatives and still am not situated with my service. I'm setting up a new service; 2 representatives put orders in for only half of my equipment. Another tells me just to go into the store and pick up my equipment. I get to this location and Amber, the world's rudest, nastiest, and most incompetent "customer service" representative I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to (seriously I really can't fathom Spectrum hiring anyone worse), tells me "the policy changed yesterday" and that she could only issue me the router without the modem. She tells me I have to wait until the 25th (so 4 days without internet as a law student) to get my modem in the mail. She tells me to go call her director or customer service. So I go out to my car, and I call customer service. They then told me to put someone in the store on the phone to tell them I am supposed to have my modem. Long story short, I get my modem. I get all the way home and realized that Amber either intentionally or ignorantly gave me the wrong router. So I go all the way back to this location for them to then tell me they just ran out of "the tall routers" (ie the 5G). So due pretty much largely to the incompetence of the one and only "Amber," I now have to drive 30 minutes to Seminole. So I drive to Spectrum Seminole who, with the kindest service I've received all day from this sub-par company, immediately give me the correct equipment. This location is abhorrent. Do better. And Amber, you're the actual worst.

I really did not have a good experience with this company. Had to use it because it was the only…read morecompany servicing my apartment complex. My husband called them on a Wednesday and they scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. Then on Monday, he gets a call that they are going to be late, arriving between 9pm-10pm. Guess what. No one showed. No calls or anything. We waited a few days and called again. Got a busy signal every time. So I called the Orlando office and they transferred me. After waiting for 5 or so mins, someone picked up. He was nice enough. Explained to me that they had a huge system failure and lost a bunch of appointments and calls. Great. Still not sure why someone would call to say they were going to be late and then just not come. Then when they finally came, they told us that we couldn't use our own modem or they would charge us more than if we used theirs. We got the receipt and looked at the price breakdown and it said that the internet was 28.04/m, plus 4.00/m for the modem. Also, they were charging 25.96/m for a phone that we didn't even want. We asked them to take it off, but they told us that we would get charged even more if we didn't use the phone. So, you are blatantly ripping us off? Gotta give them points for at least being honest that they overcharge on purpose.

I would love to get totally rid of Brighthouse, but unfortunately I have to keep my e-mail address…read morebecause I've been using it in my business for over 20 years. I've seen a lot of complaints online about Brighthouse gradually "upping" their bill each month - I went through the exact same thing a couple of years ago. I'd call customer service and heard "that promotion has expired" so many times it was ridiculous. I finally got tired of it and got a quote from Direct TV. I then called Brighthouse back and told them that if they weren't going to honor the price I was paying that I was switching providers. I was told they couldn't help me, so I scheduled Direct TV installation. After they switched me over, I called Brighthouse to cancel my account. They put me on with a supervisor who said she'd honor the price I was currently paying (i.e. the "promotional" amount) if I wouldn't cancel! The way they treat their customers is just unbelievable! And let me tell you, the picture quality with Direct TV is like night and day - there's no comparison! I thought I had 5 new TV's! It's not perfect, we occasionally lose the signal when the weathers bad, but it's a LOT better (and actually more reliable) than Brighthouse. I'm not sorry I made the change.

The biggest problem with this ISP provider is that they have cornered the market for this area and…read morehave created a little monopoly for themselves. There is simply no other company you can get cable/internet from, at least not in the area we live in :/ I was warned there's no AT&T, no Time-Warner Cable, no Google, nothing but Brighthouse at our new digs. But I never knew this company would be such a hassle to deal with. Sales people are fake a f and annoying to boot. They are true salesmen of the worst kind. Very nice to your face, but slowly turning the knife in your back all the while they're selling their services. They're not cheap, either. We've had them out twice so far and the techs are simply put -inept because they CAN be. If you ask them any questions, they won't answer you...at all. They'll pretend they didn't hear you. Then they'll bring along someone they're training and show them where the box is located (basically), and nothing else. Then the tech will TRY to get your cable up and running but they won't understand why it won't get up and running! Lol! It's kind of comical really to watch a couple of back woods boys attempt to do their job, fail, and leave you to figure it out for yourself. Only you can't figure it out yourself because they didn't hook it up right. *sigh I never thought anyone could provide such poor service, but they do. The real problem is that they have a monopoly on this area, they know it, they know you don't have a choice, and they simply don't care. No contract with Brighthouse means I can cancel anytime. You can bet your booty I'm going to be looking into other options.

Apparently a verbal contract isn't honored by Brighthouse. When I called them back they assured they would be over ASAP but what they did was scheduled me until 6pm. I waited until 5pm and canceled out, I had other commitments. Tomorrow is Monday and I will find another cable provider. If youl like being lied to Brighthouse is for you
