My friend called C P Bannon earlier this week to find out when we could come in to pay our respect and say our good byes. A woman by the name of Mrs. Taylor told my friend via phone call that the viewing would be Thursday (today) from 12 PM to 4 PM. When we arrived at the mortuary slightly before 3 PM, we were told by Mrs. Taylor that the body has been transported to the Shiloh Baptist Church in Vacaville for the funeral services. Yes, my friend and I were highly disappointed that we couldn't say our good byes. Nobody from the mortuary notified my friend that this transportation of Mrs. Peters has occurred. This was a lack of communication on the part of the mortuary. Mrs. Taylor suggested to go on their website to leave a message of condolences to my classmate's family. Sad to say I could not find this mortuary on a website, even though I did a Google search. I did a Google search again. I found the website under another name, not C P Bannon. I stand corrected.

The view was welcoming and peaceful inside with a scenic glass wall view of a beautiful waterfall and greenery. The casket was placed under a beautiful gazebo where the light rays shined in just right making it the focal point of the ceremony. Very professional. There was plenty of parking with extended parking lot across the street.

Accompanying me was my daughter and one of my high school classmates, Dora, to discuss what type of service I wanted for my husband with Paul. Paul is an excellent funeral director who is not only helpful but also compassionate, empathetic and so understanding. I couldn't ask for anybody than him to handle the arrangement. I find he is approachable and personable; truly a great listener. This chapel is located on the corner of High and Walnut Streets. There is a parking lot for the attendees of a funeral.

Burying loved ones has to be the most challenging and agonizing part of anyone's life & having a reputable chapel like Colonial makes it a little less stressful. Everything was perfect. I feel like they give more gratitude to families that are spending more money for funerals and not just a cremation. I had to retain an attorney just to receive my property back. This place is unprofessional and should not be in business. I emailed Anthony on 2 separate occasions regarding the niche and I did not receive a response (within a month time). I called a few months later expressing my frustration about Anthony's nonresponse and was told that I would receive a call back within a business day (after leaving a message with one of the associates there). I did not receive a call back. By now, I'm extremely frustrated. I spent 15K for my father's plot with no niche and no response. I called back a second time and asked my call to be elevated to a supervisor or someone that can assist me. I spoke to Melissa - she was extremely communicative and responsive, or so I thought. I paid 1.6k for the niche immediately and asked for estimated time of completion. Office's response on Jan 19th - "I have to wait for the file to get back from accounting then I can submit the order. It normally takes 10 business days to receive the layout for you to review. Once it's approved by your family, It takes 4 to 6 weeks for engraving to be completed. I should have the layout for you by the end of January." It is March 16, I just received the layout to be approved. This is far from the 10 business days, more like almost 2 months. I think the sloths at the DMV work faster and are more responsive.
