This was a Very Hard Week for me . A long time Co- Worker / Friend had taken his own life by Committing Suicide. When I found out I was in a state of shock.as all my Coworkers. He was the last person I would have thought to do something like that . His Funeral was held today at Mission Funeral Home. They had did a great job of preparing my Coworker for his Open Casket Viewing . Especially consider his method of ending his life. The Mortician made magic happen . My Co worker looked like he was taking a nap. The Funeral Directors had did a great job with the Service. They had respected his families Ethnic Beliefs. They arranged an Air Force Honor Guard since he had served in the Air Force. It was a standing room crowd. It was a tough service seeing his Mom suffering though the service. If your reading this review I think Mission Did a great job,. If you ever consider Suicide please don't and seek professional help. The loss of my father was overwhelming to me. The Mission Funeral staff was absolutely wonderful going through the whole process. My father was a WWII vet passing at 101. The staff showed constant respect every step of the way. They went beyond the call of duty obtaining the DD214 which I could have not done in a timely fashion. Both Ceaser and Sam spent hours on the phone arranging have Presentation of the flag by the Marines Corp, this was particularly difficult to accomplish on Thanksgiving weekend. This place has not just hurt and keep hurting my grieving family but they mest up big time on my grandmas death certificate- they mispelled her name which delayed everything for us to take her to Mexico and lay her to rest. We have been told lies, we have been getting the turn around. Cesar is always in a "meeting". My grandma is still sitting in a freezer and this place and the owner have the audacity to give us attitude. We dont know what to do, half of my family flew to Mexico and is waiting for my grandma to arrive. She is NOT resting. We have no where to go grieve to her. When we were suddenly facing the loss of my husband, Julie went way beyond the usual protocol to assist me with making arrangements. There was genuine concern and sympathy for my loss. My dad happened to pass away while I was talking to Ceaser and he just made everything so much easier, explaining the whole process and pointed us to the right direction and made sure we spoke to the right people even at the cemetery. Julie and Sam were very kind and helpful when planning an unexpected last minute service for my grandmother. Sam especially was very professional and showed a lot of compassion towards the family at such a difficult time. He was very helpful in trying to make this process as easy and timely as possible. We had reassurance in Sam that our grandmother would be taken care of properly and with care. The facility where the service was held was large enough for a large group. It was a little older and the sound system and projector needs to be upgraded. However this place was lower cost then other facilities in the area for the same service and customer service was excellent. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about this funeral home. I would give them 10 stars. We've had now 3 family members taken care of by MFH. Our first was over 10 years ago, my father, a vet. The home took care of pretty much everything, as my mother and I met with them. The cemetery was over 100 miles away in a veterans cemetery, and it was no problem for the home. The second funeral was 5 years ago, with my brother. We were in the middle of moving out while my brother passed away. My mother and I asked to have my brother ready by the end of the week for a service. We knew it was a lot to ask, and although it wasn't going to happen at first, the owners made it happen. In Dec. my mother passed. I was besides myself, and Cesar and Julie and the rest of the group took excellent care of our mother. We had difficulty putting on our special clothes on mom, and mortician fixed the dress before mom was placed in the casket. it's those little things that mattered to us. They made our mother look just like she was sleeping. Everyone who saw our mom at the funeral, said that the funeral home made her look great and natural. I've seen some bad bodies at other funerals. They also took care of everything, even things we didn't think about. With their years of experience, they knew about the veterans cemetery requirements, and our religious and cultural requirements. Their prices are the best in town. Everything we needed to do and wanted to do, we were able to do, with Cesar's guidance. Julie and the group are very friendly, explained everything they do and don't do, and keep communicating until everything is completed. We only used their funeral preparations services, as we used our church for the actual services. MFH-Please also thank the driver of the hearse. I didn't catch his name, but he was just wonderful. Everyone liked him. Funerals are not something you want to think about, but if I'm still in Hayward when I pass on, I've already told my family that I want MFH to take care of me. My gosh, where do I start..? Lets see, my father was diagnosed with liver cancer this past summer june-ish 2015. The cancer spread extremely fast, October 13th he passed, quietly at home as he requested. He had nothing prepared. The only thing I did know, was he wanted to be cremated. His Hospice nurse called Mission Funeral Home, explaining my situation. Julie was from the very beginning, ever so helpful, understanding, and willing to work with me in every aspect. Sam, the gentleman that called for my fathers date of birth, etc. worked with me, was equally, understanding, patient, and just an all around wonderful man to talk to. Julie and Sam, made this scary and overwhelming, time in my life, and made it easy, and less stressful thani could ever have imagined. If I could give zero stars I would. So we had my uncles services here and man what a freaking joke. Both days we were there The toilet were overflowing and all they did was bring in a bunch of bedsheets and laid them all over the floor to soak up the sewage water they never called the righteous plumber in to do anything. Secondly for as much money as this place charges you would think that they can upgrade the projector and Music system the projector has no color left in it everything is damn near gray and white the music kept skipping and messing up the whole time. This was no way you should be showing your loved ones their respects. When you look into the right hand corner of where the casket sits you see extension cord wires running up the walls and two broomsticks taped together to adjust the projector for when it goes out of focus (how about they just get a ladder and climb up there and put some new screws in and they won't need the broom sticks to adjust it anymore). I will never have a family member's services here again to be honest I wouldn't even have my dogs services here this place is a freaking joke and all the employees know what's going on and do nothing to make it any better read more

Unfortunately my husband went through a tough time and we had to find a funeral home. My husband and I visited 3 funeral homes in hayward. I called mission funeral home to get a price quote over the phone. Julie was the person I spoke with she was very polite with me and broke it down for me since this was the first time we had to experience something like this. I was very interested in seeing how this place looked so we decided to make an appointment to go in person and meet with Caesar. Caesar was great he broke down the prices for us again. This place felt very warm which was something very important for my husband. The most important thing is that we got treated like family there and felt welcomed. With as many questions as I had for him he would always answer them without any hesitation. What can I say everything came out great. Everybody was satisfied with the place. Customer service was excellent we couldn't ask for more especially going through these rough times we are so glad we chose this place. I know Cesar went beyond, I'm so glad we got to work with him. This place was hella dirty. Went to pay respect for a good friend. Bathroom has spiders, water on da floor, and we had to ask for more toilet paper to clean up da mess. Ants were in da kitchen, and da floor was ditry too. We bring a cd to play and it was on repeat da whole time and skipping. The slideshow also dont work. This is the worst place I have ever had to deal with. Considering the fact that you are already dealing with a death of a friend or family member and then to be treated the way we were with this funeral home is just unbelievable. They made commitments and then tried to add charges for things that were clearly explained in detail before we ever had mom taken to this place ( I can't even use the word funeral home it would give them to much credit). After all of that we were told that we could use the "decompressing" room and had the place for the day. After that we got a call telling us that they had another service after ours and we did not have it in our contract to use the room (so please beware of this place) and the complete service only allowed for 4 hours but when he explained the time line and told us that the basic service was longer than 4 hours to start with, again telling me they don't even understand the time it takes for a service to be held.
