I get a report every day about his eating, sleeping, diaper changing, and various activities he's done through out the day. I call EVERY single day, and the principle Sara is super nice, and always give me a snap shot of what my son is up to. She told me I can call as many time as I like, she's super supportive and understanding. They update the app often so I can see the pictures of my son doing his little activities. Infant 1 only has 2 teachers, so there was only 8 children. They had a system, somehow whenever, I come, it was nice and quiet, and the children look BIG, clean, and content. Their curriculum is great, they'd tell us what we are working on with our son so we can also implement at home also. We're going to have more children, and I'd send them here too so we can go through we their programs. I like how there are 200 acres of wood Park right behind the school so the children would get fresh air circulating around.

My son was privileged to have Ms Amanda of the intermediates and also Ms Tori. They are an awesome team Tori took him in as her own and loved him. They were both so patient and loving!! He is now in pre k with even more vetted teachers one of whom had been there since 86. Ms. Tucker is extremely hands on with her curriculum and we get updates as far as activities my son participated in. She challenges him to make him better with retaining his lessons. He has made friends and I'm able to see him active and engaged each day on the playground and in class. My son has sensory setbacks, so my fear was always leaving him alone and being away. Since having him there, I don't want him ANYWHERE else. Bobbie and Sarah are amazing Directors and have both been so so accommodating. All of those ladies are like family. It's really touching to me during a time when childcare is hard to come by and undervalued at times, they always ensure my little boy is okay. That he is learning and not left in the shadows or ostracized. I'm forever grateful for the staff there. Thank you all!! I Absolutely recommend as a phenomenal facility to send your child!

It's for ages 0-5 which is perfect and you make your reservation online. $20 for 2 hours of play and $10 for the second kid. Grippy socks are needed. Everything is safe and clean which I loved. It was quite with a great Disney playlist playing in the background. The bathrooms were squeaky clean and there were white crocs by the bathrooms so you didn't go in with just socks on. You can bring snacks and drinks for your little one and sit in the front waiting area with it. For parents with big kids that don't need as much assistance the sitting area upfront is so nice. There were also couches in the back infront of the ballpit that has phone chargers ready for you. The staff was super nice and clean up in between each session. Will def be returning this summer.

Pam, the director, clearly cares deeply about the kids and makes every family feel welcome from day one. The teachers we've worked with have all been excellent: very professional, communicative, and organized, but they still keep things fun and playful for the kids. We came from another daycare in the area and can say with confidence that La Petite is a massive upgrade. In just a few weeks, we've seen marked improvements in our son's behavior and how he interacts with other kids. There is a strong emphasis on the classroom as a community, and it really shows--children seem to learn how to play well together, take turns, and be considerate classmates. The structure and expectations in the classroom feel age-appropriate but still set them up for success. I can very easily see our son being more than ready for kindergarten in a couple of years. They keep the kids busy in the best way -- every day our son is learning something new, with lots of hands-on activities and exploration. The app is also fantastic; we get tons of updates and photos throughout the day so we always feel connected to what he's doing. My only (very minor) gripe is the parking lot -- it's a bit small and can get chaotic during peak drop-off and pickup times. But honestly, that's a small trade-off for the level of care and education our son is getting. Overall, we're extremely happy we made the switch and highly recommend La Petite of Glen Allen to other families.

Gabby returned and said he hadn't eaten much today and wasn't feeling good. She seemed clueless as to what to do about my child not feeling good. She said he was laying on the table so she moved him to the floor where it was more comfortable. No one contacted me. The other teacher took his temperature as I was holding him and it was 102.4. After I asked Gabby why no one contacted me she said she had told the director earlier that my son wasn't feeling good. The other teacher said he was busy and forgot. It is not a good facility. Don't send your child here if you want good care. They probably don't get paid much and don't care about the children. I had read one bad review but there were so many good ones. I just read the bad review again and it is more accurate than I thought. They do cover up things. The director tried to call me today and left a voice mail and denied anything that happened and tried to cover it up. This place is unsafe and weird things are happening to these poor children.

My two elementary age children went to Tuckaway Ellwood House for 3 weeks this past summer. The teacher was friendly but the front desk is horrendous. I gave them my credit card number to charge for payment. Apparently the either lost it or failed to charge it, but they never sent me an invoice or communicated that they needed payment (not by phone, email, or mail). Then, less than 4 weeks after my daughters left, instead of sending us an invoice, they sent our bill to a debt collector and tacked on a $400 "legal fee"! Yes, I received a debt collection notice in the mail (again, having never received even ONE bill or invoice) with an additional $400 added on! Unprofessional and disgusting. Adding to this, the weeks leading up to and during our time at Ellwood, communication was terrible. Emails inquiring about forms, dates, etc. went unanswered 3/4 times.

We looked at a few day cares in Fall 2017. Almost in all higher quality centers were wait lists. We…read morechose Tuckaway on Ellwood because a few people suggested it to us, and they had a plenty of positive reviews at that point. We waited patiently until October 2018, but there were no notices about our enrollment though they said the wait list is about a year. I called them up, and they said that we can start in 2-3 weeks. The girl who runs the enrollment process, Mary, wasn't friendly at all. She didn't reply on my emails on time, and she gave me dirty looks when I asked too many questions in person. Really?‍ I was already disappointed, but I decided to give it a try. Sofia was 2 years and 6 months when we started day care. First, she liked it a lot, but in a couple of weeks her teacher left, and they were struggling to find someone new. Instead, they were changing care givers every day because they were just sending people from other groups to help. At this point, Sofia didn't want to go there anymore. She cried at home at night and in the morning because she didn't want to come back to her day care. She cried hysterically at the moment when we were saying goodbye there. What can I say? It was very hard for all of us, but their care givers didn't care much. They didn't try to calm her down or distract her attention. They just kept playing with other kids. Once, my husband went to drop her off, and Sofia cried so hard that she threw up there. Can you imagine that no one even came to him to help to clean up and calm her down until he asked for help ‍. We tried for a week with all this crying, and we stopped. I took her out of there. This was the worst experience ever. After this child care, she even stopped trusting her babysitter for a few weeks. Then, Sofia calmed down, and she happily stayed with babysitter like she did it before. Moreover, we looked into reviews for this Tuckaway child care, and we realized that all the recent positive reviews were left by the people who work there‼This is crazy . For now, since December, Sofia stays at home with me, and I can see the difference in her behavior. She is a happy little girl again. Isn't that the most important for every parent? We will try to put her in another day care in Fall 2019 when she will be 3.5, and I hope she will enjoy it.
