Our phenomenal staff member instructor!!

We came in just to check out the scene but after seeing the excitement on my kids faces, I asked the staff a bunch of questions and signed them up to climb on the spot. We purchased socks for my son since he was in flip flops which I was happy they had some in stock. We had a fantastic instructor,Katy (or Katie) who was super patient with the kids (ages 5&8). She was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She made the experience so fun and comfortable. We are looking forward to coming back and purchasing a punch card so we can come again and again! We even placed an order for climbing shoes when we got home. Can't wait!

I have been going to triangle for almost 2 years and it pains me to leave a one star review. But I…read morehad to cancel my membership for some non-negotiables. Pros: - The staff: They are pleasant, knowledgeable about climbing, and a joy to be around. - Climbing: Engaging, and I love the routes they come up with. - Community: Great people, and truly what I'll miss most. Cons: - Filth: There is no regular professional cleaning service and the grime continues to be ignored. It has built up to a point I cannot justify paying the exorbitant price. -- There have been small black bugs in the spa shower since July 2025, and I have notified staff several times. They have multiplied in this time. Picture/video attached. -- There is black mold in both the steam room and sauna. I have notified staff several times. I go to the steam and sauna for my asthma, but it only makes it worse at Triangle. Pictures attached. -- For those that aren't spa-goers, it may disgust you to learn that triangle staff, after acknolwedging the aforementioned points, said the nastiest thing in the gym is the rock holds. -- The turf in the weight room is sticky in parts and matted down with conglomerated sweat. - Unresponsive: I brought up issues many times with staff, but the cleanliness never gets addressed. It took over a year of multiple members complaining about urine stains and smells in the mens bathroom for them to simply add an air freshener and smell-reducing pad to the toilets. -- I do NOT expect your desk staff to clean the whole facility. This requires a competent professional service. -- A response from triangle to a prior review from a month ago mentioned a professional crew within "the coming week or so." There has been no change, not in the last month, not in the last 2 years. - Pricing: I originally paid the individual membership price of $89 a month. When my roommates discovered the group plan we were told it would be $39 each for 3 members. Seemed too good to be true but we were reassured. Online, 3 members should amount to $197 ($66 each). Turns out we were charged $267 ($89 each) per month of our group membership. Triangle has not returned any of our contact about this overcharging and it is beginning to feel predatory. So, Triangle, I implore you to: 1. Clean your entire facility. It's embarrassing. 2. Provide straightforward pricing for memberships and make sure all staff are trained in this before they sign people up. 3. Respond to your members concerns. We want to keep being a part of Triangle. Thank you, and I would be elated to see these changes and revise my review to reflect them.

My friend and I had a really good time and the staff seemed nice although we didn't get to interact too much. The city saw a need to protect the park and in 2009 placed a conservation easement on the park, legally protecting it from development. The park's hours are simple, dawn to dusk. It is home to Ancarrow's Landing, its most famous boat ramp, and is the trail head for the Richmond Historic Slave Trail. There is tones on parking here. You will find a lot of spots to go fishing and there were a ton of people taking advantage of those spots while I was there. The park has a couple of picnic tables in a shaded area in the front of the park. There is also a patch of green space in the park as well, that is suitable for playing catch, having a picnic or flying a kite. The park also has the trail head for theJames River Pipeline, North Bank Trail, Buttermilk Trail, James River Trail and Ancarrow Trail. They are well defined trails that also offer additional fishing spots. This park is simple, but pretty dirty and in need of maintenance. I saw trash overflowing, grass needing to be cut, fish heads and trash all over the place. It really needed some help. This park is popular for fishing, hiking, and using the boat ramp. If one of those activities tickle your fancy, this is your place to be. Other than all the trash, I really liked this park.

*Parents with children with special needs - PLEASE READ!…read more My son was diagnosed with ADHD/Autism two weeks before I registered for camp at the Tuckahoe YMCA. He's very high functioning and has been in the school setting since pre-k. I let them know prior to registering about his IEP plan and some accommodations we have in place. They made it seem like everything was okay! June 2nd was the first day of camp. Why did they politely kick my child out the program? First we talked about doing half days because it was a new environment but when I went to pick him up they basically said let's go ahead & issue a refund! I'm so frustrated but also understand all of the children's safety is the biggest priority! I think the most heartbreaking thing is they didn't give my child a chance to adapt to the environment or modify the camp schedule. They immediately decided they didn't want to work with him. I say this to say don't waste your time sending your children here for summer camp if they have any type of special needs. They will not work with them AT ALL! They didn't give my child any time to adjust. I'm disgusted with this location & the staff here.

If you are too scared to go down the zip line you have to back through the course if there's ppl behind you they also have to go back. If you bring kids you have to do the course and zip line or the kids can't. But only one person at a time can go so does it really matter... my son (13 yrs old) had ran ahead and completed to courses before I even did one. They made him stop to wait for me. I appreciated that. But mid way I wanted to back out of the zip line they told me my son wouldn't be able to continue the courses if I did. Some of the staff were annoyed with basic questions like do you have a "trash can "or "do you have smaller gloves" (that are mandatory to wear) but the girl we had was amazing. She was great my son's leg had gotten stuck in a ring on one of the courses she climbed up stupid fast like a spider monkey to help him. But over all it was great and so much fun. It was a complete work out down the muscles in my fingers that I didn't even know we had. I also recommend getting the cell phone holder thing and the fingerless gloves
