Peak has amazing bouldering with fun routes for all levels of climbers. They use a color-grading system where a color represents a range of levels in the V scale (e.g., yellow is V2, V3, or V4). The grading here was pretty accurate. My group went in before 10 AM for the early bird special, and it was only $12! They have a ton of routes you can try on different terrains (e.g., overhang, cave, slab, etc.) and even have a pretty extensive comp wall as well. I was really impressed by the variety of bouldering routes available. They had ones where you jump-start, dyno, run across volumes, select different paths using the same start hold, bat-hang, and more. Peak utilizes all of the holds they have really well so that you can get as much mileage and experience on all types of movements and holds. You get a lot of space to do these problems as well which was nice. They also have a lot of shoes, gear, and merch. The gym is very clean with a ton of space for personal belongings as well. They have auto-belay practice, gym equipment, and training boards available to use. My one disclaimer here is that falling from the boulders is pretty scary. I'm used to jumping off of the finish hold, but jumping down is a ton of distance and is something to be weary about. I didn't top-rope or lead climb here, so I can't say much about their routes. Judging off of the looks of it, I'd say Triangle Rock Club beats it in the ropes. Overall, I enjoyed my time here a lot. Here's how it breaks down to other gyms in VA: BOULDERING Better than Triangle Rock Club, Latitiude VB, Rocky Top, and Vertical Rock Tyson's Similar to Latitude NFK and Movement ROPES Better than Latitiude VB Worse than Triangle Rock Club

My first time visiting -- had no idea this was nestled near me! I'd never climbed before, but they were hosting a BIPOC night collab with RCC. Staff was friendly and helpful. The place is huge! There are so many different types on climbs & puzzles to solve. Super sanitary during COVID. Limited capacity in the space at all times & they require a reservation beforehand for 2hr slots. You wash your hands at the sink before you enter the building. There are sanitizer stations throughout the place. Everyone must wear a mask coming in & it's suggested to wear it while climbing as well. Mostly everyone had their mask on the whole time.

Service: The staff are courteous and helped me get certified for auto-belay promptly. When I decided to register at a later date, they had some difficulty finding my prior signed documents, but they found it eventually. They were helpful in making recommendations about memberships given my situation. They didn't interact with me otherwise during my climbs. They change the holds every so often so you don't get bored. Ambiance: Very casual and friendly clientele. People were eager to cheer others on or make chat. There's an auto-belay section in the back and a good amount of belay and lead climbing. There's also quite a bit of bouldering walls. Parking in the lot hasn't been difficulty any time. The bathrooms are quite a walk away, so be sure to change out of your climbing shoes prior to going. Value: I opted for the punch pass since I am an infrequent climber, but the monthly pass seems a good value for those who can go.

I have never been here climbing myself but I come once a week to pick up from a kids climbing club. There are a lot of different areas to climb, once that a free climb, one that you can climb using a machine, and another you need another person. The kids always seem to have a good time, there are different courses and options. The membership seems pretty affordable for what is provided.

Great way to challenge the kids.

Pros: - The staff: They are pleasant, knowledgeable about climbing, and a joy to be around. - Climbing: Engaging, and I love the routes they come up with. - Community: Great people, and truly what I'll miss most. Cons: - Filth: There is no regular professional cleaning service and the grime continues to be ignored. It has built up to a point I cannot justify paying the exorbitant price. -- There have been small black bugs in the spa shower since July 2025, and I have notified staff several times. They have multiplied in this time. Picture/video attached. -- There is black mold in both the steam room and sauna. I have notified staff several times. I go to the steam and sauna for my asthma, but it only makes it worse at Triangle. Pictures attached. -- For those that aren't spa-goers, it may disgust you to learn that triangle staff, after acknolwedging the aforementioned points, said the nastiest thing in the gym is the rock holds. -- The turf in the weight room is sticky in parts and matted down with conglomerated sweat. - Unresponsive: I brought up issues many times with staff, but the cleanliness never gets addressed. It took over a year of multiple members complaining about urine stains and smells in the mens bathroom for them to simply add an air freshener and smell-reducing pad to the toilets. -- I do NOT expect your desk staff to clean the whole facility. This requires a competent professional service. -- A response from triangle to a prior review from a month ago mentioned a professional crew within "the coming week or so." There has been no change, not in the last month, not in the last 2 years. - Pricing: I originally paid the individual membership price of $89 a month. When my roommates discovered the group plan we were told it would be $39 each for 3 members. Seemed too good to be true but we were reassured. Online, 3 members should amount to $197 ($66 each). Turns out we were charged $267 ($89 each) per month of our group membership. Triangle has not returned any of our contact about this overcharging and it is beginning to feel predatory. So, Triangle, I implore you to: 1. Clean your entire facility. It's embarrassing. 2. Provide straightforward pricing for memberships and make sure all staff are trained in this before they sign people up. 3. Respond to your members concerns. We want to keep being a part of Triangle. Thank you, and I would be elated to see these changes and revise my review to reflect them.

If you bring kids you have to do the course and zip line or the kids can't. But only one person at a time can go so does it really matter... my son (13 yrs old) had ran ahead and completed to courses before I even did one. They made him stop to wait for me. I appreciated that. But mid way I wanted to back out of the zip line they told me my son wouldn't be able to continue the courses if I did. Some of the staff were annoyed with basic questions like do you have a "trash can "or "do you have smaller gloves" (that are mandatory to wear) but the girl we had was amazing. She was great my son's leg had gotten stuck in a ring on one of the courses she climbed up stupid fast like a spider monkey to help him. But over all it was great and so much fun. It was a complete work out down the muscles in my fingers that I didn't even know we had. I also recommend getting the cell phone holder thing and the fingerless gloves

The city saw a need to protect the park and in 2009 placed a conservation easement on the park, legally protecting it from development. The park's hours are simple, dawn to dusk. It is home to Ancarrow's Landing, its most famous boat ramp, and is the trail head for the Richmond Historic Slave Trail. There is tones on parking here. You will find a lot of spots to go fishing and there were a ton of people taking advantage of those spots while I was there. The park has a couple of picnic tables in a shaded area in the front of the park. There is also a patch of green space in the park as well, that is suitable for playing catch, having a picnic or flying a kite. The park also has the trail head for theJames River Pipeline, North Bank Trail, Buttermilk Trail, James River Trail and Ancarrow Trail. They are well defined trails that also offer additional fishing spots. This park is simple, but pretty dirty and in need of maintenance. I saw trash overflowing, grass needing to be cut, fish heads and trash all over the place. It really needed some help. This park is popular for fishing, hiking, and using the boat ramp. If one of those activities tickle your fancy, this is your place to be. Other than all the trash, I really liked this park.

He's very high functioning and has been in the school setting since pre-k. I let them know prior to registering about his IEP plan and some accommodations we have in place. They made it seem like everything was okay! June 2nd was the first day of camp. Why did they politely kick my child out the program?
