They had wagons but when it is a busy time, you might have to wait for one. But I now live in an apartment that limits me to 2 pots or planters on the patio and 3 smaller pots by front door. I did find some plants but they didn't have a selection of pots to plant in. So if you have a house, this is a good choice, but if you live in an apartment and only need a few plants or pots, stay with full service greenhouses. I am still glad I came out.

Overall, it was an excellent event and Douglas clearly knows what he is talking about from his 40+ years of experience! The inside of the building has items from various garden related vendors (except for one - I will get to that one in a minute): fairy garden items, bird houses, yard decorations, etc. They also have food items from several Amish bakeries and oh my, the hand pies are excellent! Thankfully for my waistline I only had a bite of my husband's apple hand pie after we left or I would have gone back in and one of every flavor. Where Salem Gardens stands out is their dedication to plants that are unique. Yes, you will find marigolds (standard for all gardens for pest control) but they have an amazing assortment of other plants that are truly different. They have the best popcorn, breads, and cookies. The owners, a 40+ year landscaper and his wife, put decades of knowing and care into this shop. They built it by hand, and crafted it to be an incredible community space. They host fun community events like glass cutting and fairy basket making classes. The prices are incredibly reasonable. This is about a 45 minute drive from me but I know I'll be back!!! A well worth visit

The selection/inventory looked to be dwindling somewhat, but just about everything they had still looked good and healthy. Noticed they sold produce to the left of the building on the outside this time too. One star knocked off on this visit because, after much looking around and not seeing anything we decided to ask for help. We were told they supposedly didn't carry many fruit trees, "if any at all", by the older, tall blonde woman at the register on staff during the early afternoon hours. It didn't seem like a very definitive response. The second star is knocked off because she really did not seem interested in interacting or helping us after her 'informative' tree comment. She walked away thereafter, presumably get away from us and our pesky questions. Still a nice place, with nice stuff, but lacking on customer service on this visit.

We often stop into Milford Gardens for our planting needs, even though there are other greenhouses and nurseries that are closer to our house. This place just has such a wide selection! My husband will pick up plants and small trees for certain jobs in Spring and Summer, and I like to grab some random colored sedum or hostas to fill my gardens throughout the season. Everything we've purchased from here has thrived and always ends up looking beautiful! The helpful staff is always there to greet you, as they can usually be found watering trees and plants while tinkering around the property. In addition to the greenery, they have an extensive collection of statuary, fountains, gazing balls, wind chimes, and memorial stones inside the shop. Need a giant Buddha? They've got one. Need a stone for your pet's grave? They've got a bunch. Need a bird feeder? There are plenty to choose from! Big or small, for all your planting and gardening needs, you're sure to find it at Milford Gardens!

Milford Police called me to pick her up as Milford Gardens didn't want her to stay any longer. Her ride with people's express wasn't due to pick her up for another hour. Everything about planting and taking care of the tree was explained to me and all of my many questions answered. I was told it has a warranty, but should I have any issues or questions to call them right away for help. I'm super happy with my purchase. I just love the tree. They also wrapped and loaded it into our pickup.
