Nice garden center with a small-town, personable feel.
I like this nursery a lot. I've picked up plants, flowers and other garden items with my husband's mother here a couple of times. I guess I'll have to thank her for turning me onto Deneweth's. I probably would have totally ignored this small, roadside nursery if it were not for her.
She shops here all the time and I must say, her garden looks lovely. Me? I have more of a brown thumb than a green thumb, so that's where Deneweth's comes in. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, always willing to go the extra mile with a gardening novice like myself.
The selection of trees, flowers and potted plants is terrific. In fact, the selection is pretty extensive although this is a small garden center. I also love their beautiful garden sculptures/lawn decor. We picked up some adorable garden sculptures and a few planters during a sale, as well as some seeds. True, I can probably pick up most everything I'd want to improve my garden at one of those larger home improvement superstores like Lowe's, but there's little to no customer service with that. I get that here.
It's the little things that count in customer service. Sometimes service is just as important as price, selection and quality.
As for price, I won't lie, they are a bit more expensive than Lowe's, Walmart, etc, but really not a whole lot more, especially considering the quality, nice selection and good service. Sometimes, there is a trade-off in saving a few bucks and it isn't always worth it, so I tend to be willing to pay a bit extra to get better quality and service.
Now, if only I could learn to be a master gardener... read more
