I love this place. Great plants, friendly staff. Zero chemical used. Be aware that part of the staff includes chickens as part of the pest control and they freely wander. This is what I brought home. Filled the front seat of my car.

Start by saying I've never left a review. I frequent Willow a few times a year. Met some nice associates. This weekend I purchased over $100 worth of plants. One being a Rose bush. It had black spots over the leaves. I asked the worker if I should be concerned. He said its stress from being in the container(Yes. I should have known better). After getting home and growing concerned, I looked it up. Its a fungus. And most the plant has it. I'm writing this because of his blatant lie. He knew better. And instead chose to lie to me. Im a novice thats learning. It pisses me off. I spent my hard earned money on a plant that may or may not make it. And I have to figure out how to now care for this fungas and hope it's something that wont spread to others. I am not sure if ill shop there again to be honest. I hope the worker see's this. Do better man.

I really liked this place. There were tons of healthy plants, and I had a nice time looking through their rows.

I ordered a few flats of wave petunias, begonias, sunpatients, and a few hanging baskets.

Overall, it was an excellent event and Douglas clearly knows what he is talking about from his 40+ years of experience! The inside of the building has items from various garden related vendors (except for one - I will get to that one in a minute): fairy garden items, bird houses, yard decorations, etc. They also have food items from several Amish bakeries and oh my, the hand pies are excellent! Thankfully for my waistline I only had a bite of my husband's apple hand pie after we left or I would have gone back in and one of every flavor. Where Salem Gardens stands out is their dedication to plants that are unique. Yes, you will find marigolds (standard for all gardens for pest control) but they have an amazing assortment of other plants that are truly different. Check out my pictures for the yellow green hostas! Wow!

I had to park at the far end of the main lot along the length of the building in greenhouse. It's larger than the one side in the building would lead on. I was going to purchase the gazing balls and stand and the munchrooms mushroom jerky, until I got into the checkout line. It's about 50+ people deep. At least have six staff members to cash you out. I don't have the patience to wait for however long it might take. One big red maple tree goes for about $1,600. If you do end up coming here to purchase anything. Be prepared to wait at least a good 15 to 20 minutes or more to get through the line. Will have to come back on a non-Mother's day weekend. It's worth a walk through, so much to see. The boutique shop seems a bit out of place though.
