I can't help but think Jacob to be a "major asset" to the Zesta team. Please extend to Jacob a 'heart-felt thank you' for making my dining experience far beyond my expectations. Honestly, I really wanted to love this place because I had heard such great reviews about it. The…read moreambience is very cute, but unfortunately the service was extremely disappointing. It started with our drinks. My friends ordered peach martinis, but two purple martinis came out instead. I asked the waiter what flavor they were and he said pear. I explained that we didn't order those, and eventually the correct peach martinis were brought out. However, they were oddly placed in front of me instead of the friends who actually ordered them and didn't have drinks yet. Then when our food arrived, one of my friends had ordered pesto pasta with specific instructions, but she was served Alfredo instead. Because of that mistake, we had to wait additional time for the correct dish. Earlier in the meal we were also asked if we wanted bread, and we assumed it was complimentary. When the checks arrived, we noticed the bread had been charged to one of the cards randomly. It would have been nice to know upfront that there was a cost for it. Being open and transparent about things like that is important in this industry and helps build trust with customers. Unfortunately, things continued to go wrong. All four of us had leftovers, and the restaurant takes the food to the back to pack it up for you. When our waiter returned with the boxes, he gave the meals to the wrong people. Luckily we opened them to double check, especially since there had already been several mix-ups throughout the night. I'm not exactly sure what went wrong, but we were seated on the upper level and there was no one else around us. Regardless of whether a restaurant is busy or not, there should still be a standard of service, and unfortunately that was not reflected during our visit. Mistakes can happen, but acknowledging them and making an effort to fix them goes a long way, and that was something we didn't experience from our waiter.

From the first sip to the last bite, everything was amazing. So many flavors worked in to one tasty meal. Great service too!

We were most interested in a couple of the dishes, most notably the pettole and arancini. We walked up on a Sunday for lunch and none of the items we wanted were on the menu! The owner mentioned how she rotates all the menu items every month on the 15th, migrating between specialty dishes between regions of Italy for 11 months of the year, then bringing the customer favorites back for the last month. What a unique concept! Unfortunately most of the menu items available didn't interest us that much, so we ended up only ordering the tiramisu. Chef did offer us samples if we were interested which I appreciated. Tiramisu ($8) - The owner warned us when we ordered that she had just made the tiramisu around 30 minutes prior, so the espresso still needed time to soak into the ladyfingers. Electing to get lunch at a different spot, we ended up waiting about 2 hours before digging in. Unfortunately due to being kept cold in our cooler, the bottom layer of ladyfingers still hadn't reached the point of being soaked enough to be tender. Another hour or two outside of the cooler solved the issue. An $8 order contains a pretty large tiramisu square, hand cut and fit snugly into a takeout container. It's such a rich dessert that eating only about a third of it completely filled me up. It's creamy, it's tender, it's sweet, it's thick. It's night and day vs. store bought tiramisu, being probably two or three times the richness of mascarpone and cream, although not cloyingly so. The espresso soaks in well after a couple of hours, giving tenderness to the ladyfingers and an espresso taste that isn't bitter or acrid at all. Yum! (5/5) I don't eat tiramisu all that much, but I loved the one served at Pesco. Given that they have different menu items every month, it seems like this food cart is a great place to visit for plenty of variety. I'll have to keep an eye out the next time I'm in town!

The vibe is this surprisingly great mix of Italian restaurant and sports bar - TVs with sports playing, full bar, but still serving legit, "worth-the-carbs" Italian food. Service was dialed in all night, too. Attentive without hovering, and our drinks never even thought about getting empty. We ordered the Fettuccini La Bella, Lasagna Campania, and garlic cheesy bread. Everything was delicious and served faster than expected - A PLUS. Great food, great service, and a relaxed vibe that makes it way too easy to stay longer than planned. Just pace yourself on the carbs (or don't, I didn't).

The pizza was also great, as the bottom was crispy and loaded with lots of cheese and toppings. The service was also extremely friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations. We didnt get to try their pastas or anything of that sort, so cant say much about that. Their cheesy garlic bread full appetizer was really good as it was loaded with cheese and butter. The inside was nice and sleek with lots of TVs around the side showing sports. Overall great place!
