Decent little community pub with a good selection of beer. If you're staying in the area, it's recommended to walk here as there isn't much parking. All the parking is usually the local golf carts. Also - next door is the town convenience store. Pizza was a nice pan pizza with a ton of toppings. As we pulled each slice out, everything fell off. Either need to add some thin layers of cheese inbetween the toppings to get everything to stick or find another way where 90% of the toppings won't fall off. Could probably take the politically driven sign down now considering the mask mandates are lifted. Pretty unnecessary at this point. read more

First off, if you're concerned about protecting yourself and others during the pandemic do not go here. They do not enforce the governors regulations of mask wearing and nobody wears masks. (See photo of sign) It felt very unsafe. But we were starving and it was the only place in the area so we put our masks on, sat outside and tried our best to keep our distance from all of the irresponsible patrons and wait staff. Also, get ready to wait. Pizza takes about an hour because it's made to order. For exceptional pizza it'd be worth the wait, but I was underwhelmed. Dough was burnt on the bottom but not all the way cooked through. Filled with topping but it was almost too cheesy, which is saying a lot for someone who loves cheese. Salads were... eh... boring. Considering the location and limited resources, this place is awesome! Julie was very friendly and was very accommodating from the moment we met. She gave us some great suggestions for pizza too. My friend has a serious allergy to onions and we ordered the Jets Pizza but with a modification. We said, "do not put onions or tomatoes. Instead of onions or tomatoes, please put bell peppers and mushrooms." The individual who took our order wrote this note to the kitchen: "sub peppers and mushrooms for tomato and onions." So imagine our surprise when we received a pizza with ONLY TOMATOES AND ONIONS. I mean, looking back, it's both infuriating and hilarious. My friend has a place in Sunland, and the only two businesses in this residential community is the convenient store and next to it, The Phoenix Pizza Co. After a day of wine tasting my friend and I were starving, so we decided to get dinner here and support local. The Phoenix Pizza Co. seems to be a fun spot for all the Sunlanders. They have a front patio area, in addition to the back area where most everyone sits. You order first at the counter and then grab a seat. Your food is delivered to you once it's ready. My friend and I each ordered a rose cider and split the Sunlander Pizza, which is basically a supreme with four different meats. It's the heaviest of the different pizzas, so was perfect after hours of wine tasting! My friend can't have dairy, so we ordered it with vegan cheese, which is an additional $3 and requested it on a cauliflower crust. The pizza takes awhile to get since everything is made to order and it's a busy place with all the residents coming here for prime dinner time. 30 minutes later we got our pizza. It looked really good. My friend took the first bite of her slice and said it was cold. She then told me to feel the pizza, and it was cold, and I could see the sprinkles of vegan cheese, not melted. We told our server that the pizza was cold, and she said it's because the cauliflower crust cooks fast and they didn't want it to burn. She then proceeded to say that cold pizza was good. My friend and I looked at each other like, uhhh, are we supposed to accept this? Then the server asked us what we wanted to do and my friend said that we will order another Sunlander pizza with the regular crust and stick with the vegan cheese. Our server said if we did that, it will take awhile because they're backed up with orders and if she asks if ours could go in before everyone else's, it's not fair to make everyone else wait longer. How is that our problem? We're the ones who had cold pizza with unmelted vegan cheese, which we paid an additional fee for. We should be able to have hot pizza with melted cheese at a restaurant that specializes in pizza. We then said we would wait, so the server took our pizza and said she'll see what she could do. 10 minutes later she came by our table and said that the cooks took out the vegan cheese from the freezer, so it wasn't thawed, which is why the pizza was cold. She then asked us if we wanted a complimentary appetizer, so we ordered chicken wings, which came out in 15 minutes. Chicken wings were breaded and fried, which were A-OK. But hey, they were free. At least we were able to snack on something until our pizza came. 20 minutes later the Sunlander pizza came out on a regular crust, and looked much better, with the melted vegan cheese! It was solid pizza, and was much-needed after all the wine. After two slices we were stuffed, and were able to take home two slices each for home. It wasn't the best experience, especially when we initially confronted our server about cold pizza and she made us feel like it was our fault for ordering it on a cauliflower crust, and then telling us that cold pizza is good, and then saying that we were going to make other people wait longer for their pizza. That's unfair. However, she eventually made it right and we got the pizza that we paid $30 for. I'm all about supporting local, but I do believe that customer service should be a priority in any industry. Lovely owner and good pizza but please be warned ZERO MASKS or covid protocol followed. Felt very uncomfortable with evening crowd staring smirking as I wore a mask. Honestly the best pizza I have ever had! Everyone was friendly and they have a great outdoor patio for social distancing. I had the cauliflower crust and I couldn't tell it was gluten free. The best part are the leftovers. Since we were traveling through we tossed our leftovers in the cooler. Two days later we are home with pizza warmed up and tasting as good as when we first had it. We will definitely be adding Phoenix to our must stop list when traveling through eastern Washington! read more

I requested the station 36 pizza on the cauliflower crust and right away they say that's a lot of toppings for the cauliflower crust and it may not hold it up. I was a bit bummed but the person making the pizza said that he can make it happen and WOW!!!!! It was AMAZING and not only that the crust held up so perfect that even my hubby loved it and he's usually not a fan of gluten free anything I can only imagine how it would taste on a regular crust! Pizza dough was raw, toppings were decent, workers didn't seem to helpful, even though I was the only customer for a pick up order.

This place is amazing! I'm a film and commercial producer and was scouting this area for an upcoming commercial shoot with Google. I mention this because the folks I was scouting with can be very picky eaters, but The Phoenix came through in a big way! Their toppings were very fresh (which helped for one of our vegan eaters) and the dough was a perfect balance of not too thick or thin and just chewy enough. The establishment itself is very clean and the staff is super friendly. If you're planning to go to The Gorge or rock climbing in Frenchman Coulee, you should plan on stopping here. Passing through E. WA on a journey along the Columbia River. We found this oasis nestled in the Sunland Estates. What a breathe of fresh air!!! The pizza was amazing! We did a build your own, pepperoni, sausage, artichoke, and black olives... Sooooo good!!! The crust was one of the best parts!!! The entire staff was friendly!!! Great community gathering place! They have more than just pizza; burgers, fries and wings just to name a few.
