There is a small paved walking path around the park. I would not recommend it for the serious runner however, because you would be doing a lot of laps. The park also has a decent sized private parking lot and a well maintained basketball court. And if it could not get any better, they have a bathroom on site as well. What more could you want. Even though this park is available all year long, it is best during the summer.

When I stopped on Friday morning to walk the dog, I was shocked to see the parking lot (which holds 60+ cars) almost full. They have 8 pickle-ball courts and they were full with a line of people waiting for a court The pangs of the balls were pretty loud and disrupted any peacefulness that the park has to offer. There is even a set of bleachers to watch the pickle-ball games. Anyway, the park does have an amazing playscape, perhaps the best in the Indy area. There are multiple climbing structures, swings for all abilities, a merry go round type structure and more. There is soft matting under the structures to keep the kids safe. Kids were having a blast. In addition, there is a colorful and awesome splash pad. There are nice benches, some covered, to sit and watch the kids. The park also has a walking trail into a wooded area, which is not paved, just gravel. There is some natural prairie vegetation. Trees have been recently planted. There are a nice set of restrooms including a family restroom. I also saw a small pavilion with picnic tables. Bottom line, while it's a bit crowded and loud, this is a great park with lots of fun things to do.

There is a decent amount of parking available but this park does get packed. The park features 8 very nice, fenced in, pickleball courts, a large playground, an active splash pad. The park also have two shelters with picnic tables under them and some benches under small shelter-like structures that provides some relief from the blazing sun. The splash pad has a lot going on. There are sprinklers, pouring buckets, sprayers, waterfalls and lots more. It is very nice and open from 9am to 8pm. The playground is modern and is Divided into zones for children aged 2 to 5 and 5 to 12. It is laid on a combination of artificial turf and rubberized, mud-free, surfacing. The playground features a swing bank with traditional and ADA swings, a net cone merry go round, a slide on artificial turf covered hills and a small jungle gym structure with a couple of slides and bridges. The highlight of the playground though is the towering jungle gym with a bunch of tall slides, ropes, and bridges. It is one of the first things that you will see when you arrive at the park. Additional amenities at the park include a water fountain that is capable of filling bottles, a restroom facility and a patch of green space to play catch or just throw a blanket down and relax, hiking trails that lead to and from downtown Bargersville. It is a small, but very well designed park. I will admit, that it does get packed during nice weather, no school days, especially on weekends. I really like this park. Bargersville has began to invest in parks, which is nice. This is definitely a must visit while in the Center Grove/Bargersville area.

There is another shelter across from the playground that has picnic tables under it and a grill just outside of it. You will also find a restroom structure in the area of the playground. The park's bread and butter however, is it trails. The trails are partially paved and partially in the woods. Picnic tables are scattered about the park, along the trails. There is also some open green space along some of the trails as well. This park is dog friendly and very peaceful. It has a nice bridge that crosses soothing and flowing Pleasant Run Creek. Down the street from this park is the Northwest Park Annex which has many similar amenities. This is a nice park for renting a shelter or trail walking. The city's website explains the park saying the park is best defined more by the natural landscape than recreational amenities.

They also have three covered pavilions, with picnic tables and grills that are available to rent. I actually had one of my kids birthday parties there. There is also a restroom facility, which is closed during the winter. They had two porta-pottys set up in front of the facility when I was there. Additionally, the park has a wheelchair accessible trail (zero grade, 1/4 mile asphalt) and a 3/4 mile asphalt hiking trail. It is open from dusk to dawn. The playground is all accessible have some nice equipment, including an interactive arch. The ground is made of the rubbery service that does not get your kids dirty, and protects them from scrapes. Right next to the playground is the sensory music area and a little kids basketball goal, that stands about 3 or 4 feet high. I dunked a few balls to make sure it was in good working order. The park is well maintained. The hiking trail is dual purpose, it is a story trail and a fitness trail. There are kids' storyboards all along the trail to read as you move from one to the next. The story is changed seasonally. There is also fitness equipment, such as pull up bars and parallel bars, spaced along the trail as well for those that want the fitness option. The basketball court is a full court and is decent. The rims have nets, which is a plus. What I really like about the park is that it is far off of the road, giving it a more quiet and tranquil feel. At the front of the park as an art exhibit consisting of painted rocks signifying how everyone is different.

They allow fishing in the lake, but only catch a release. The pavilions are nice and were part of an Eagle Scout project. There are a few projects that are part of the park. The park is really nice and well maintained. There is a small paved walking/jogging/hiking trail that goes around the park. I The playgrounds are also nice. The smaller one is near the front of the park and the larger one is in the back. The playground has rocks for its floor, so you are guaranteed to bring some home in your shoes. They both consist of a jungle gym of sorts with slides and they also have swings at the playground in the back. The park doubles as a memorial for Service members and police/firefighters. It is very peaceful and serene. The city wants this to be a place where visitors reflect on the lives and sacrifices of those so honored and remembered and give thanks for all those who continue in their footsteps. The park does not have a bathroom structure, but they do have 2 port-a-potties by the parking lot. I really like this park and have spent a lot of time here. It is entertaining for the little ones and peacefully for the big ones.

This park is more than meets the eye. The front part, where you first enter, isn't much to see. Kids want playgrounds, and fortunately, University Park indeed has a playground. And the playground is pretty awesome. You need to drive a little through the park to get to it, but once you do, you'll see giant play structures with lots of slides, bridges, fireman poles, monkey bars, swings, rock walls and lots more. The playground area has wood chips on the ground for a soft landing. There's an indoor restroom right next to the playground too, and a water fountain. Just beyond the playground, you'll see signs pointing out different hiking paths. We walked into the woods and came across all kinds of beautiful nature, as well as bridges. This is a great place to take an easy walk or hike with kids. For the doggies, there's a little dog park here (Four Paws Dog Park), with some agility equipment and lots of room to run. The whole dog park is securely fenced and gated. University Park is another great park in Greenwood!

There is pretty good shade coverage on the trails. They are rated for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Some spots can be muddy or slick, so good traction on your shoes is a must. I don't believe there is a bathroom on the premises. There's also not a ton of parking by the hiking trails either. However, there is some construction going on in the area, so they might be adding some extra facilities with this.

Helmets are definitely a must. Even the beginner trail can be challenging if never mountain biked before. My kids really enjoyed it, one struggled with getting up the hills though so that caused some hardship when biking with multiple people in close proximity. The mountain biking trails also have hikers on them so beware and try to be as safe as you can. After mountain biking, we hiked a trail which was fun. Not sure how long the trail was, but we walked all the way down by the water which was very pretty. They have a paved path as well if that's more your speed. Parking areas are available which makes accessing the park easy. I didn't notice any restroom building, but they had a porta potty open for use. A playground was accessible near the area we parked at.

The signage around the gardens is informative and interesting- and the plants are simply beautiful! So well cared for and healthy. I could have walked around the loop 5 times and noticed new things each time. There are several places to sit and relax throughout the gardens (we fed our baby on one of the benches). There is a restroom and coat racks- which you'll need because the gardens are quite warm! What a great find for the afternoon! Bonus that it's located right in a park, by a library, several cute places to stop and eat, and public art. The only downside I can think of is that there wasn't a ton of parking- probably more accessible when there isn't a special event going on!

They have ponds with live fish and waterfalls around. They have a restroom and it had a window so of course there is a plant inside, I love it. I'll have to take note next time I go here that it was very warm inside, I felt very hot so dress accordingly. There is parking available. Check hours before coming, holidays vary.
