ADAM’S COMPLETE AUTO REPAIR

I don't know anything about cars so I'm often weary of going to the mechanic. But Adam's takes all…read moremy worries away. Everyone there is polite, straightforward, and honest. I never feel pressured to have additional work done and when I have questions or want opinions I always receive helpful answers. I've been taking my cars here for years and they're running great because of this crew!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience here. I brought my car in on October 6th 2025 for a…read morediagnostic knowing I needed an oil change and possibly had an oil leak. I paid $130 for what was supposed to be a full diagnostic.. a thorough report of issues found after inspection. Instead, I got a single vague paragraph on paper (quote 1) summarizing $2,000+ in repairs with no itemized breakdown. I asked for photos, and they showed me pictures of my engine filters (note you have to get pass air ducts for this). Later that day I requested an itemized quote and suddenly the total dropped by nearly $1,000. Some of the issues just disappeared from the quote. That was my first red flag. How does a "diagnosis" of the same car change that drastically within hours? What did I pay $130 for if not an accurate inspection and record of the car's condition? I decided to check things myself. I ordered my own cabin, engine, and oil filters online for around $35 total (they quoted $180). I replaced the cabin filter in five minutes. Then I went to replace the engine air filter and immediately saw two large tears in both air intake ducts ... the hoses that deliver air into the engine (pre-filter at least). But both were completely ripped. This was never mentioned in either diagnostic, quote 1 or 2 despite being obvious... I paid $130 for them to "inspect" my car, and they missed something anyone could see under the hood? That's not just sloppy... it's negligent. And since accessing the engine filter requires moving those ducts, they had to have seen it. So, recap: I paid $130 for a diagnostic that missed two gaping holes in the air intake ducts something front and center. If I hadn't checked, I'd still be driving with this glaring issue. It's hard not to wonder if I was brushed off because I'm a woman. Im not the type to take someone's word without checking. This felt either lazy or deliberately dishonest. Fast forward to October 11, I came back for what I assumed would be a simple oil change. I'd already paid $130 for the lacking diagnostic, I believe I was informed with my initial quote that would go towards other services. Nope. They charged another $160. But I didn't have the energy to argue and I was planning to bring up the ducts. No one mentioned them... not even when I asked if there were any other issues. So I walked outside opened the hood pointed at the ripped hose and asked "What's this, and why wasn't it in my diagnostic?" The man looks me dead in the eye and says, "Oh, that's not really a big deal... most people don't fix that." Excuse me? I paid for a diagnosis and someone decided this shouldn't be included. Make it make sense. After pressing, he admits it should be replaced... something I already knew since I'd ordered both ducts for $30 online. Then he gives me a verbal quote of $55. I ask him to print it (because I'm not doing he said she said). He writes it up adding "no labor charge" like he's doing me a favor. I already had both parts sitting in my car. When I got home, I realized the quote was for one side the one I'd pointed at. Both were torn. At this point, I've lost all trust in this location. They're not transparent, not thorough, and the way they handled my situation was insulting. I hoped I could trust them with my car, but instead I learned a hard lesson. I'll now personally verify every service I pay for. If you rely on shops for maintenance.. open your hood. Watch a few videos. Understand what's being done before paying the "convenience" premium. Many of these fixes are simple and inexpensive. TL;DR: - Paid $130 for a "diagnostic" that missed two huge air duct tears. - Received inconsistent quotes -- price dropped $1,000 after asking for details. - No transparency or accountability. - Dismissive attitude when confronted. - Trust broken. Would not return.

Carlos was very nice and extremely helpful…read more We fully trusted this place because they are recommended by Ed Little Auto (who recommends West Coast when the work is beyond what they can do) My parents and I have been going to Ed little for many years, and they have excellent reviews. My parents have also used West Coast a bunch of times. My car was having some pretty severe issues. I didn't need an appointment to come in, the car was fixed by the next day (we could have got it back the same day if we wanted, but we let them keep it overnight for some extra testing) They didn't try to upsell us at all. They mentioned a few things that they noticed needed done and when we said not now..they didn't push. And these were things that would be obvious with the work they were doing..they didn't go out of their way to pull out air filters or check unrelated things we didn't ask them to, like Subaru did. Everyone was super polite, professional, friendly, and very quick to answer whenever we called. We were in and out quickly for both drop off and pick up. It was extremely pricey, but what isn't these days. But also, I did have a lot of broken stuff. I am no longer allowed to drive it like it's stolen.

I've been coming to West Coast Tire before, but unfortunately this experience was disappointing…read moreenough that I don't plan on coming back. I first reached out to Tom asking about Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires. He asked if I meant the RE-71RZ, and I clarified that I specifically wanted the RE-71RS because that's what I currently have on my car. After that, I never received another response. Since I ended up getting the tires myself, I went on their website and scheduled an appointment to have two tires mounted and balanced. Greg then texted me asking me to confirm that I already had the tires before he could give me pricing. I responded right away, gave him the tire information, explained exactly what I needed, and also asked about an alignment. Hours went by and once again, no response. At this point, it just feels like I'm wasting my time trying to give them my business. I previously had an issue where my wheel valves were scratched during service, although, to their credit, they did replace the damaged one. Ever since that situation, though, the communication and service toward me have felt different. I can't say for sure if that has anything to do with it, but if a shop doesn't want my business, I'd rather they tell me instead of leaving me hanging. After being ignored by two different employees while simply trying to purchase tires and schedule service, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend them to my friends or other car enthusiasts that I know. I understand technical issues can happen, but that still doesn't explain my entire experience. I contacted Tom before this outage and after I clarified that I wanted the RE-71RS, I never received another response. Then when I scheduled through the website, Greg reached out to me directly asking for information and I replied immediately. From my perspective, I had already been having communication issues before yesterday's outage. Also, bringing up my other Yelp reviews has nothing to do with the service I received from your shop. My review is based on my actual experience trying to spend money with your business and repeatedly not getting a response. If the outage caused yesterday's delay, I'm willing to acknowledge that, but it doesn't erase the lack of communication that happened beforehand. I simply expected better communication from a business I've used before.

Anything that my car needs a ticket here. They are fast and efficient and very competitive pricing. For me, the most important thing about a body shop, especially as a woman, that you can trust a shop to give you a good price and be fair. Abdul and Mo have always been trustworthy, confident in what they're doing and with their staff, they all know what they're doing and are always professional. Most of all, they and everyone here is just very nice and pleasant to work with.

I was told that it might be the water pump. I called around to get an estimate and Mo from Automed gave me a higher quote to repair my water pump. So because he was closer to my residence and convenient for me to drop off and also because he went down $300 on the quote, I left my car with Automed. He promised and gave me his word that his men will work on it and I should get my car no later than Thursday morning. Thursday came and went. I got no calls from Mo. I texted him and he finally responded telling me that it is not the water pump and that I needed new brake pads, radiator hose and supercharger belt. I asked him if he can just do the radiator hose. I didn't want to spend any more money unless it's absolutely necessary. He said ok and that my car will be ready on Friday. Friday came and went and no calls from Mo. Now I am stuck on the weekend with no car and they closed the shop on Sat. when it was supposed to be opened. Mo played me the sob story and told me the mechanic who worked on my car had passed away so I had to offer my condolences and not gripe about my car. Monday I called Automed and was told someone will call me. His mechanic called and told me I need a new thermostat and it will cost me an additional $1000!!! They were really taking advantage of me. I was not happy and I found out that they never took a look under the hood to find out what's wrong until Monday, it has been on their lot since last Wed. I told them to put my car back to the condition that I had brought it to them. I will pay for the radiator hose if they had put it in and that is all. I went to pick up my car on Tuesday evening, brought it home 4 blocks away. The next day as I was driving to work, the check engine light came on then the coolant light went on. I was too scared to drive it on the freeway so I turned around and took it to a trusted mechanic. They told me this Automed did not properly put my engine back. There were mismatch bolts, I was missing a clamp on one of the hose and a gasket. He took a look at Automed invoice to see what they had worked on but there were no manufactured numbers on the radiator hose that they replaced for him to verify if they even replace it. These guys at Automed are not legit. Mo is a good talker but he is not a man of his word. That is what I get for having a boy do a man's job. Automed cheated me and left my car is worse shape then before.
