Drove by and looked at the place before the phone call... and then drove by again. Most of the sites aren't level at all as the property is on a pretty good hill... most sites appear to be too steep to get an RV level without blocked it up quite a bit... I think the spaces toward the back would be better but they were all full... and since they didn't want to give any information on the phone, I decided to pass on this place. The only thing I got out of them was that you had to go into the office to get to the washer and dryer.... just seems too weird to me.

And... since last October, every month there seems to be a problem with the company getting paid. I use on-line bill pay. For over a year, every day of the month, the same day, a check is sent from the bank. AUTOMATICALLY. No problems. All of a sudden, they don't get checks on time and they want late fees. EVERY MONTH!! I had to pay in person (so I could get into my unit), stopped payment on the check I already sent, and then a month later they tried to cash the check I stopped payment on and charged me some other fee cause I stopped payment on the check they presented for payment. So, I set up automatic withdrawal (yes, routing #, account #, etc) so they can go into one of my accounts and take monthly payments out. Well...guess what? Plenty of $$ for their payment, but I get an e-mail telling me my payment is late!! And yes...another late fee!! What is wrong with this picture??? And not 10 miles away same size unit $80.00/month. Seems like all they want is your money and they are very creative in finding ways to get it!!

Also some crazy insurance that is $120 a year that doesn't insure anything. Renting a storage unit is supposed to be a straightforward affair. These guys come up with new crazy fees every month. They made a mistake on my bill and then charged ME a late fee for their mistake. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE, they are money hungry vampires that will start going after you as soon as you are moved in. Oh and if you move in for a month, you have pay for two months because you have to give them a months notice to move out. It really is that crazy.

Then they gave me a quote. I scheduled a date and time for the move. The guys showed up with a big truck on the day of the move. They were friendly and assured me that the items will be loaded and moved safely. They handled the statues with care and carried them to the backyard and placed them where I wanted. The whole process was smooth and the movers were genuinely willing to help. Their moving costs were pretty reasonable. I am glad that I found reliable help with my moving needs. (It's killing me, but I'm keeping my snarkiness to myself though I will offer that he's 60). Since he has never done anything for himself, I researched and hired the movers for him. The prices for most of the movers that I contacted were pretty similar. What set Moving Hearts apart was that they are veteran owned. On moving day, one of the movers was on time, the other was quite a bit late, but true their word, they didn't charge until both were on the job. Some started charging the moment the truck left their facility. While we had already moved what we could fit into our van, for a two bedroom house, there was still quite a bit of stuff. The movers didn't anticipate the amount and they really should have sent a bigger truck. The move was local - 3.5 miles - one end of Old Monrovia Road to the other. It still took 2 1/2 hours, though some of the time was trying to fit everything into the too small truck. It was hot yet the movers didn't take a break - they worked their butts off. There was absolutely no damage on either end of the move - I've never experienced that, even with the most careful movers. They did a fantastic job. I would hire Moving Hearts again in a heartbeat.

They showed up exactly on time, and were done early. I've never seen movers with that much hustle. They'd unload the truck and carry items into the house then RUN back to the truck for the next load. It was wild. I figured the running thing was to show off and would disappear after the first twenty minutes.... NOPE... They kept up that sprint all day long. One of the gentlemen even had a weighted vest on because the job wasn't hard enough for him! These guys were seriously strong and managed to unload an upright piano in 15 minutes. The movers who packed the piano seemed like bumbling idiots in comparison when it took them nearly an hour and a half to load the upright. Thanks to Changing Spaces I've honestly never had a better experience with movers. We're currently in a rental house and plan to buy a place of our own by the end of the year. I'm saving this number and I'll be calling them for that move. Money well spent. Thanks again to Pete, Marious, and Jacob who all worked like crazy and never once complained about the heavy piano! I do not store food stuffs only furniture and a trailer in an extra large bay. I am in the process of cleaning out the items and will depart prior to my lease ending. I still will need a storage bay, albeit not as large or expensive, but it certainly will not be this facility. All this place needs is a little TLC and responsive management and it would be outstanding given it's location.
