We needed to have some heavy things moved. I saw an ad for Muscled Up Movers and gave them a call…read more Their pricing was reasonable. They have a one hour minimum rate of $280. If used, 2 hours would be $435 and 3 hours $590. We were ask to email pictures of the items to be moved. We set up a day and time for muscled Up Movers to arrive. They showed up on time and came inside to evaluate what was to be moved. The two gentlemen were very cordial and did a great job of wrapping up fragile items and moving them. We are very happy with their customer service and the great job they did moving furniture. If you need a moving service, call Muscled Up Movers. They do great work.

We hired Muscle Up Movers to move our furniture across the parking lot to a new apartment…read more Essentially two bedrooms a dining room and living room furniture and a few boxes. First off to say these guys moved SLOOOOOOW would be an understatement. It took them more than 5 hours with three guys. So did they need to take apart beds? Nope, this was all done for them before them before hand. Perhaps difficult access? Nope, the apartment was on the first floor. Between the frequent breaks, standing around and complaining we should have known that this company wasn't legit. But there's more, after they loaded up the truck rather than drive across the parking lot and unload, they needed to take a break...no kidding. Then returning to the same complex, they got lost. Yup lost and I needed to go and direct them back to the complex. The story doesn't end there, they damaged much of the furniture they moved...including a brand new leather sofa. Did they step up on the damage they caused? Nope. We've been going back and forth with their claims people for over a month. BTW- we checked out the address for the "Claims Department" and its a Tatoo Parlor. They wanted us to make a claim with the retailer that sold us the sofa rather than MUM stepping up. Then on a custom piece of art that they damaged they suggested that they could get a commercial frame from Etsy though the original piece is clearly a custom framed piece. MY ADVICE TO FOLKS CONSIDERING USING MUSCLE UP MOVERS...just burn your money instead. MUM is the WORST COMPANY we've ever dealt with, inclusive of online retailers etc. These folks are scum bags!

Highly do not recommend…read more Neil worked for a Georgia moving company for nine years and has now owned this company for just a year. It's all about the bottom line with him. I will say we had so much negativity going on every step of the way due to issues beyond my control, and had he handled the many issues that came up with simple kindness and understanding, I wouldn't be writing this review. But even though he pitched in a couple extra hours to help out with the unpacked items/chaotic day, the day was one of the worst days of my life. It was also the worst move I've ever experienced. During his on-site estimate, he bragged about how he is working on setting up a fund to help one struggling citizen per year by cutting their moving costs down to nearly nothing or nothing at all. *Eyeroll...Believe me when I say our family couldn't be the ones any more deserving of this consideration. Neil's crews, both the two packers the day before, and the three movers the day of the move were the only semi-positive thing to mention about this move. Most, but not all of them, went the extra mile to help me, as I was in extreme distress on moving day, due to their chaos, as well as my own personally. At one point we were having a medical issue and 911 had to be called. I will also tell you they will park their moving truck far from your place so extra walking to the truck to load your belongings will take extra time. Neil claimed this job ran overtime because it was raining but every time I went outside to check the progress, most of the guys were standing around discussing who knows what and were not moving! See my video attached to observe it's NOT raining and the sidewalk is dry. Not only was the final bill almost 1/3 more than the highest quote for the job, Neil still to this day refuses to send me a keyed copy of the actual move receipt. I did get the receipt for the packing, but not the move to storage the second day. I ended up having to rent a different storage unit ONE extra mile from the original one I was told to rent by Neil. This sudden change of venue was out of my control. At the last minute I was told by the moving company the size of the unit I had on reserve was not big enough. The storage place didn't have anything available in the same size I had on hold, only huuuugeeee units. Ofc. 3 movers and I waited over 40 minutes for the manager to unlock the door for me to register WHILE I also had an UBER WAITING to take me to our hotel. She knew we were on our way because the moving guys went to talk to her ahead...on my dime. When Terry finally came to the office after multiple phone calls from both me and two of the movers, she was flippant, condescending and downright rude. She unlocked the door without making eye contact or a simple 'hello'. Her behavior was odd considering the wait. No apology. I consulted with the movers. They suggested storage one mile farther to a unit that could accommodate my belongings. I told her when I left that I didn't like her altitude! Neil states they will not pack and move the same day, that he packs only the day before the move. Moving boxes cost $2.75 each despite the size. Ha, what a joke boxes became. Beware of that because it's a lot added to the cost of the move on top of the hourly rate. Even though a pre-move visual inventory was done and the cost estimate for boxes was included, it did NOT include packing paper, half of which was provided by me. Then they don't show up with enough boxes to pack everything on 'the pack day'. As a result, this forces them to finish packing the day of your move, which in turn turns into...more hours to be billed. They pack your clothes in black garbage bags!! and then tell you you don't want to pay for wardrobe boxes. As an example, a failing I take issue with, the evening they packed, I had to open a sealed box for toilet paper. You should have seen my shocked face when I looked in the box. I saw my pricey hotel magnifying make-up mirror loose in the box, not even wrapped in packing paper at all. Other glass bathroom items in that box also were not wrapped in paper and the mirror is heavy, so this was a disaster waiting to happen. There were various items they tried to buffer with rolls of toilet paper, and decorative plastic items are most likely going to be shattered and smashed. It's a good thing I had some packing paper left of my own, and I did the best I could with what little I had. The fact remains I paid for full packing and shouldn't have had to do that. These are just a few glitches. There are just too many more to mention but rehashing it all won't change anything. Even with a 10% senior discount, it cost me $1,300.00 for this company to pack a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment, plus load and unload it into a ground-level drive-up storage unit. Use this moving company only if you like to be taken to the cleaners.

Great at communicating, honored the price quoted and were professional in how they conducted…read morethemselves. I appreciate how they used both blankets and wrapped the items in plastic. I used for a small job but will use again in the future. Also, this was a job done day after Thanksgiving which it made it even more impressive.

It is now $170.00 a month. In addition to that it is now mandatory that renters MUST USE Midgard digital locks that cost another $20.00 ?? a month. On top of that, if you talk to A LIVE PERSON about ANYTHING there is a charge. Now, people are there in the building (their cars are parked in the back of the building) they just refuse to come up to the front desk to answer any questions. Well, I left. Got a climate controlled10'x15' for a third of what I was paying at Midgard. And if anyone does rent from them, you better read the fine print of your contract. You have to give a 30 day notice to vacate. But its not 30 days from the day you give notice. It's 30 days from the 1st of the following month so they can get another months rent out of your wallet! I wouldn't give them any stars but I had to do one to post this. And BTW, my sister in law gave her 30 day notice and they begged her to stay by guaranteeing a year without price increase. (Yes, her rent has more than doubled). And if she did stay, can you imagine the amount her rent would go up after that year is up???

They wrote contract up starting immediately. Kept pressuring me to pay for next month while I was there. I said I wouldn't need it that long. Asked me at least four more times to pay for next month and also tried to convince me to sign up for auto-pay. I didn't. Filled out forms and left. Came back later that night and said I wanted to rent another uhaul instead and wouldn't be needing storage. Staff said too bad - NO REFUNDS. They had already billed me. I said it's only been a few hours why can't I get a refund. They smirked and said too bad, you signed forms. I said, so if I had paid for next month like you were pressuring me to do, I would have lost that too? Snarky clerk said (in a loud animated happy voice) Yes sir, you sure would have. Screw this place.
