They have classes starting from 6:30am in the morning to 8pm at nite including kids classes. They have a boxing ring and lots of heavy bags. There are also lots of high quality Fairtex equipment (thai pads etc). The gym is very clean. The people here are very nice, no egos. There is street parking on the side streets. Which I find unprofessional because even my lash tech will give me a text or reminder few days prior to remind me about my appointment. So I didn't really feel welcomed at this dojo.

We signed up for the Tuesday class in Kits. The workout started with a fast pace warmup, then we went into a tutorial on proper techniques and form. Then we went into a full body workout session. I was hooked after the first class. Our instructor, Lydia, is amazing and one of the real reasons we come back (now our 5th month and new location). She is patient yet firm and thourough. If you can't do a move, she gives you another move that is easier, yet still hard. I've never sweated so much! I love it. My cardio has increased, my arms feel more toned, and I love the atmosphere! First class was with regular class but they give additional one on one coaching. Second class you join the rest of the group. I am terrible with cardio and core, so the beginning 15min cardio was too much for me. However, the kickboxing part was fun. They try to sell you packages on the first day, which they offer additional discount. I still find it too expensive for me who only wants to work out once a week. It's probably ok for others if you go multiple times a week. Overall the place is clean, people are friendly, but really depends if you like their style of kickboxing.

You will SWEAT. Pretty intense workout, it is hard at first but you will get used to it. Great friendly staff. They will assist you if you need help with combos etc. CON: Booking, booking, booking. I mean I understand that there are limited punching bags and they want to accommodate people but its not a come as you go place. You MUST book in advance however, you can only book 1 class at a time. You cannot book several classes in advance. You can only CALL them to book as for some reason they dont take bookings via email. So if you're the type that like to schedule and plan in advance this may not be the most flexible for you. Otherwise if you dont mind it then you should totally try this place. Membership is pretty pricey $100+ a month if your new, I dont know if it goes lower if you're a longer member.

I loved it from my very first class - I was SO far out of my comfort zone and way beyond my fitness level, and every inch of my body hurt; but I loved it, and was so excited when ILKB opened in my neighborhood. The space is great, plenty of room to move around and really get into your groove. There are classes 7 days a week, and a membership means you can go to as many as you want, without having to pre-book. I never know when I will get out of the office, so really appreciate the flexibility and timing of the classes. While the classes are all structured the same, each one varies, so you don't get bored or stuck in the same old boring routine. You will SWEAT. You may wonder, mid-way through the warm up, if you will even make it to the bag rounds, but you WILL make it and that feeling of accomplishment will bring you back time and time again. The staff and members are motivating and encouraging and there is a sense of community, which is a nice touch. Oh, and once a month, there is a DJ night, I mean, come one, does your old gym have a DJ? No? Then you're at the wrong gym.
