I had a bunch of little micro cracks in my windshield that made visibility in the sunlight very annoying. I sent them an email for a quote to replace my front windshield on my Mercedes and they replied with 24 hours. I went in to schedule an appointment and the replacement was done a few days later. I would say the price is competitive because I've gotten quotes while I was still living in AZ for much more. I brought my car in and brought a tablet to read in the waiting area. I don't remember how long it took to get it all done, but it felt pretty quick to me. It wasn't too long of a wait. Everyone was super friendly. Worth noting - I actually Didn't provide the correct information about the windshield missing the fact that there was a front view camera - so when I dropped it off - they noticed it. Instead of complaining or chastising me, they said "oh no worries...we'll get the correct ordered and return this one and you'll be all set". First of all, how in the world did they do that in 40 minutes? Didn't hardly have time to read my paper, yo. (Not complaining.) Amazing how it can all happen in seconds. Zooming down I-40, government shutdown consuming my thought stream, pop! The heck was that? The heck just happened to my windshield? And within five minutes, a one inch crack spans one foot across my line of vision. Awesome. What's that gonna cost? Thankfully, not too much, because Westside Glass gave me a fair estimate when I called, and even though my insurance company wasn't on board to cover much of the bill, Westside hooked me up with a great deal. The people running the front desk were friendly and efficient, quickly connecting me with a claims contact to report the repair. I upped the review by one star because after my honest but bad review the manager called and offered my money back. Said they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. They did come out and clean up the black rubber smudges left by their installers and razor down a couple of the more obvious blobs that oozed out. The work was not awesome. I have put 6 windshields in this vehicle I have had amazing installs from another company who closed and more than one crappy install including this one. I haven't tested if it's water proof yet. My Husband has an Ford F-150. When he got the car the driver and passenger side window were fine. But after a few years the tinting was so bad you could hardly see through them. The tinting had big bobbles in it that made everything blurry. I asked my mechanic Coulter from New Mexico Car Care if he knew were a good place to get the windows fix and re-tinted. Where do I start....? We will start with the phone call quotes, I was calling around from business to business to check prices and availability for my 2006 Mazda RX-8. When I called Westside, I was told it would be $45 per window. All I needed done was my front driver and passenger as well as the rear window. So I asked "Will the rear window also be $45 even though it's larger and will require more tint?" She said "Yep!" So I made the appointment thinking "WOW! $135 plus tax for 3 windows to be stripped and re-tinted!" When I got there to drop my car off I was greeted by the receptionist, who asked an employee to check my tint percentage in order to do the re-tint. We talked and I told him "Passenger and driver front I need 35% due to Arizona Law being 33%. And the rear window the same tint it is right now I just need to replaced because it's turning purple." He then educated me on how they might have to do the back window. He let me know he would possibly have to take the back window off in order to do it correctly because of how tight the back of my car was. He then told me it would be $65/hr IF he had to take off the back window. I said alright let's do it! So I go back to pick up the car and walk in to pay for it. I asked the employee that worked on my car "Hey, so how'd it go? Did you end up having to take the back window off?" He said "No, it's actually bolted in so I didn't wanna break it, so we just did it with it on." I said "Awesome, thank you." So then the receptionist says "Hey (employees name) how long did it take you?" He says "Uhh about an hour and a half" I'm thinking "About? This is my money we are talking about" and then she goes back to the owner and asks him "How much do you wanna charge this one? It took (employee) an hour and a half." The owner then said "Hey (employee) was it hard?" The employee says "it took me a minute! It was pretty difficult" then the owner tells the receptionist "We will go $130.... uhhh $145 actually for the back window." So the receptionist then tells me it'll be about $265. So then I ask her what happened to the $45 per window that I was told from multiple employees multiple times? She says "There is a $65/hr labor fee no matter what window is being done." Which I was NOT told at any point other then if the rear window had to be taken off, which I understood. So the receptionist says "I'll just say he worked on it for an hour so now it'll be $204." I give her my card and pay for it because at this point I am almost going to be late for my 7 month old son's appointment so I didn't have any more time to discuss the matter. On top of all of this my rear window isn't even the correct tint percentage that I had asked for! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE. read more

What a difference! Used the Yelp app to get a quote which I got within a few hours. And Westside got me on both service and price . . . I arrived a little bit early, they got me right in and were done in half an hour (maybe I got lucky but I'll take it)! Price was substantially lower than the "other name brand guys". And don't tell Shannon but she's a keeper! When I called to confirm the quote, she double checked the information to ensure I was getting the right windshield (I was sure she had made a mistake based on the quote I got from those other guys - she did not make a mistake and probably rarely does). After having my 2013 Subaru Outback rear windshield busted due to a break-in, I was stuck with a $1000 comprehensive deductible. This was more than what it would cost me to pay cash to have the windshield replaced, right? Well yes, but not by much! I called around to various shops within Albuquerque, then luckily ran across Westside Glass on Yelp due to their (well deserved) 5 star ratings. They ended up being $150 to $300 cheaper than their competitors, and were able to get me in first thing the next morning. Like most folks, I found a need to replace some glass in my home. I installed the rest of the windows but found a problem for the threshold glass over each door. The size was just too small to make a complete unit so I embarked on finding a glass company to replace just the glass and not the frames. I was referred to Westside Glass by a couple people that had work done and they were more than pleased so I scheduled them to help me finish the windows in my home. It soon became evident that the previous owner had hired out someone to fix some leaks and had applied a ton of caulk inside the window stops making a huge mess. A lot of contractors would have walked away or figured out some way to get around this problem. My installer just went about his business and right from the start was determined to "DO IT RIGHT". It's what we all hope for yet seldom receive. A hour and a half job turned into over a 4 hour job with no increase in the price quoted.
