Sure, the service was efficient as suggested, but their business model is crooked and misleading. On the phone they said their diagnostic fee was $65, and if it was a simple issue with the power window slipping out of it's assembly, the fix would be quick and would apply against the diagnostic fee and cost nothing more. But if it's a regulator issue, she said, it would take longer. This language was rehearsed and deliberate and implied diagnostic fees applied toward repairs... Until they gave me a regulator diagnosis, with a repair cost of $315, and retained the diagnostic fee in top of that. Over $400 to fix my basic power window issue is lame enough, but crafting their misleading language to cover up an objectively money-grabbing business practice puts them on a par with the legendary charlatans of Brake Mastery. I will never go back here, nor recommend them to anyone else. Absolutely shameful.

They got me an appointment right away, answered all my niggling questions (I'm kind of a fussbudget sometimes, and Beau in particular was really helpful and kind about it) and got it done right on time - actually faster than I'd expected it. My car was returned to me good as new! Every single employee at Walker treated me in a friendly and professional manner (thanks Shelby!). Their waiting area was comfy with good WiFi, videogaming and television stuff for entertainment, and a pretty nice coffee bar set-up. Smaller local establishment, you'd figure they'd be expensive, right? Nope! Just over _half_ the cost that was quoted by the big national firm (the other big national firm still hasn't called me back with a quote after promising to do so ten days ago). And I have the assurance that the calibration was done at a Subaru dealer (Walker folks take the car over there - they're close by) by a certified mechanic.
