I have chronic illness and pain and have had to cancel more appointments there than I would like, but they have always been kind and gracious about it. I had to see Dr. Newman yesterday as I have developed an infected salivary gland. Alison (the remarkable receptionist!) was able to squeeze me in and Dr. Newman arranged to have the necessary x-rays done to confirm that it was indeed an infected gland and wanted me on antibiotics and booked an urgent appointment to see an oral surgeon within two days. Everything flowed like clockwork. This really is the best dentist and dental staff I know of in the city. Everyone treats you very well, and it is a very friendly staff. I wish my health would improve so I could get the dental work done that I need. I was lucky to be able to get the necessary referrals for my infected gland so quickly and am very grateful to be a patient of Dr. Newman's. She is an amazing dentist, and more. Highly recommended for all your dental needs.

I went in for a cleaning and a check up and the cleaning was not done well compared to other cleanings I've had. It felt like the bare minimum was done. Usually, the hygienist goes in with the pick to clear out all the stuff that get stuck at the top of the tooth, but they didn't. I was also given all the expensive frills without asking me ($30 fluoride rinse, unnecessary $150 X-Rays), which I later found out how expensive they were once the bill came due. Typical of all dentists offices, they'll ask if you're covered, and if you are they'll just give you everything so the bill is over $500 in order to make your visit as profitable for them as possible. I don't mind if procedures are explained to me (what the cost is, why I need it, etc.) so I can make an informed decision, but I don't appreciate my money being spent without asking or explanation because I'm covered. Never going back.

I get it and understand it if it was necessary then yes but as a parent I have all the right to know what they're proceeding with specially when they will be removing those 2 tooth. Then I try to have conversation with the office manager and she said let's go in my office, when I asked let me drop my kids to their school bus and I'll come to talk. instead of resolving the issue the owner who is also dentist there get in the middle and put his hand on me. I try to record him when he get very aggressive, he try to grab my phone aggressively and throw my phone away, broke the screen of my phone, he slapped me, put his hand on my neck and jaw line very forcefully to hold me from my neck and arm and throw me out of the door in front of my kids saying get out of my business. I also heart my foot from the door frame. I called the 911. He didn't even waited for the police and fled the scene. He should be ashamed as a doctor who treat his clients like that specially infront of kids.my kids are still traumatized and telling everyone how that dr was so rude and hit my mommy in his school and Neighbour. How can you be a doctor and hitting people in scrub. What a example you have set up for my kids. They would be always traumatized by a dentist now.
