I went to Oakenshield last week and met with the owner Thorn (I think that's the way it's spelled). This guy had so much knowledge and spend so much time helping me decide on the perfect cabinets for my kitchen. He didn't pressure me or make me feel like I had to make a decision right away, or even buy from him. I even shopped around after our meeting and haven't found any better prices. At the end I decided to hold off and wait until I enough cash for some of the higher end stuff he has, because there are some really amazing cabinets that are a little out of my reach right now. When the time comes though I'll definitely be buying my stuff from Oakenshield. I did the leg work and the prices and quality can't be beat, and I really appreciate a guy that isn't pushy and know his stuff.

It took him about two weeks to patch up the wall due to a lack of manpower, and he didn't do a very good job. We now have to hire someone to come and correct it. The downside is that since he didn't cover anything, he scratched my stove. I informed him via text, but he didn't reply. That was very disappointing on that front. Now I have to buy a top for my stove. However, besides everything else, Trevor did a good job in certain things. But he lacked in others.

I have never left a negative review before, and I do not take writing a negative review lightly…read more However, I truly do not want someone to have the same disappointing and frustrating experience that we had with Trevor Kaftan and N-Hance Wood Refinishing. We hired Trevor to refinish our kitchen cabinet boxes, replace our cabinet doors, build a small island in the kitchen and install crown molding. The project was riddled with delays, mistakes and poor workmanship. When we did attempt to speak to Trevor about some of these issues, he did not take ownership, so effective communication was very challenging. We actually fixed (and will continue to fix) a lot of the issues ourselves so as to avoid further conflict with him. The situation however, that exemplifies the whole experience with Trevor was the crown molding part of our project. 2 hours into crown molding day, he called me and said he "could not figure out the angles" and quit. Just quit. He left me with 3 incorrectly installed pieces of crown molding and walked off. He did not offer me any plan for moving forward and he did not try to make it right in any way. I had to find a contractor to come in and fix his mistakes, repair damage to my walls and install the crown molding. His lack of skill and professionalism was shocking. Trevor is a good salesperson, but please don't be fooled. I would strongly encourage anyone considering using Trevor to find a different contractor.

I reached out once again via email and she didn't respond to that email either. Perhaps the job wasn't worth their time, perhaps they weren't going to make enough money off of it, but there is such a thing as common courtesy.
