Regarding Westside 66 & Carwash located at 2815 W. 6th St., Lawrence, KS, I think very little of the owner, Rich Haig, who was very disrespectful and hateful to me, a customer. As a senior woman, I went in here to have the window motor replaced on my car, as it wouldn't go up and down. I was treated very unkindly and disrespectfully by owner Rich Haig. I dropped my car off and left, returning later and found my car on the parking lot and the mechanic was working on it. So, I walked around to get out of the way. I heard a nonstop beeping from my car and the mechanic was gone but I discovered he put my car key in the ignition and turned it, causing the dash lights to come on and the loud beeping and then he left. He was gone a long time and I thought he had gone to lunch, and so I turned the key and took it out of the ignition. When I mentioned this to owner, Rich Haig, was angry with me and treated me like I did something wrong, ordered me to wait off the property until my car was finished. When I did not, but stood quietly about 300 feet from my car, a place where customers wait but on the property, Rich wouldn't let the mechanic finish my car but told him to go on to another car because I wouldn't wait on the sidewalk, off the property. This was abusive, and I called the police. When they came, owner Rich Haig lied to the police and said I was bothering the mechanic, although I was not. This was a lie. In retaliation for my calling the police, Haig had them no trespass me from the property, as if I did something wrong, although I did not. They finally finished my car (only after I called the police), and I got the keys but this was an abusive situation. I later discovered something black liquid was "poured" or let run along side of my car where the mechanic worked and whatever it was, I've been unable to clean it off. This service was paid for by a social service but I was treated so abusively and hatefully by owner Rich to where I regret ever bringing my car there. I would never go back there and I see owner, Rich Haig, as hateful and abusive, without good reason. He will probably lie about this but what I wrote is truthful. read more
