I showed up out of the blue as a new customer and they did a same day wash (not dry cleaning,…read moreregular laundry) on my giant king size comforter. It's too big to wash in my home washing machine so this place will be my go to spot. I came early and had to ask nicely of course, but they were very accommodating to me wanting it back the same day. My boyfriend told me they have "been there forever" and I can see why. My only complaint would be the parking is really challenging during peak shopping times since this place is smack dab in the middle of downtown Westport.

The problem is that the suit is made of very fragile material, and pressing the pants too often will destroy them. When I picked the pants up, they had been pressed because she said, she is a dry cleaner and that is what she does, even though she remembered very clearly that I had instructed her not to press them. Incidentally, she then changed her story and said that they were steamed not pressed, but that was not the fact because there was a sharp line in them a fraction of an inch away from where they previously had been pressed.

Unreliable for time sensitive needs…read more Review for Elegance Cleaners I've been a customer here on and off for years, but after two bad experiences with the I won't be returning. Most recently, I dropped off a jacket on August 25 with a pickup date of September 2. When I went in on September 3--eight days later--it wasn't ready and couldn't be found. I was told it might be ready by 6 PM, but I needed it early the next morning. Previously, I brought a jacket in for alterations and the work wasn't done on time. The hems were rushed and poorly finished, and they couldn't handle the tailoring I needed. This, also, was brought in with ample time and needed desperately. For $14 to clean a jacket, I expected reliability and quality service. Unfortunately, this cleaner hasn't delivered either.

I also have a habit of buying things with a vision for them that requires tailoring). Moving from NY to CT I had a hard time finding a tailor that did great work but also didn't charge a fortune, especially given the volume of items I bring in. Jeannie does all my alterations now. The work is very good and the pricing is very fair for how much work each garment needs. I'm glad I discovered this place. It is not even really convenient to where I live but always worth the drive back and forth.

I was charged $90 for this terrible work, and I when I refused to pay so much for shoddy tailoring they took $20 off. I didn't want to argue further so I paid $70 and left with my ruined dress. They offered to fix it, and said it was an oversight, but I'm so disgusted they would think this dress was ready for a customer that I do not trust them to work on it again. I will never return here. I could have done this crappy of a job myself! DO NOT GET ANYTHING TAILORED HERE. You will regret it.
