My first check-up consisted of 4 parts: First, a sit down consultation, with a staff member, asking what I wanted to do with my teeth. Second, I was escorted to a dentist chair for not only x-rays, but high definition pictures of my mouth. X-rays and photos where taken from all angles. (photos are used to evaluate tooth and gum health) Everything is explained to me, so I can understand what is going on. Third, I go over to the dental hygienist's chair for my cleaning. Lastly, I spoke with the dentist as we looked at the photos and x-rays. We talked about the concerns and questions I brought up in the consultation. Talked about what I wanted to do with my teeth and the most urgent problem areas that I needed worked on first. I have already recommended him to friends. After another pediatric dentist performed an incomplete tongue-tie release on my infant daughter, Dr. Shisler carefully evaluated her and successfully corrected the issue. What impressed me most was that his entire focus was on helping my daughter gain the tongue mobility she needed to feed comfortably and effectively. He genuinely cared about improving her quality of life, not just performing a procedure. The experience from start to finish was exceptional. Ana and the entire staff were warm, patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable. As with most parents, we had plenty of questions, and every single one was answered with kindness and compassion. We never felt rushed and always felt supported. The improvement in my daughter's feeding and comfort has been remarkable, and I am beyond grateful for Dr. Shisler's expertise and dedication. He is the real deal--highly skilled, honest, caring, and truly committed to his patients' well-being. I recommend him wholeheartedly and have already started referring all of my friends and fellow parents to him. If you're looking for the absolute best pediatric dentist and surgeon in Houston, look no further. Dr. Shisler is simply outstanding.
