This mall has changed so much over the years. My last few times here, it's been empty, and there are way more carts selling random things than before. And the parking lot is always packed with cars and a bit of traffic to get out onto Main Street. Most of the food places have moved, which sucks because there was a nice coffee spot that I liked. The staff in most stores are friendly and nice They have lots of stores you can check out while you walk around. One of my favorites is the mango stand, which is so delicious. It's not that big, but there is lots of good value inside. read more

Nice regional mall in Hialeah with JC Penney and Macy's. Not as upscale as Dadeland or Aventura but still a good selection of stores to shop at including a Radio Shack! The food court has a McDonalds which is always handy for a quick snack along with some other fast food outlets. If you live in Hialeah and don't feel like driving all the way to Aventura or Dadeland this is a decent alternative. read more

Unless it's for electronics, I severely dislike shopping. With. A. Passion. Ask Wine Goddess Michelle C., I always make a sarcastic compliment to her shopping reviews. Still, it's the Holiday Season and that involves getting a token of appreciation for those nearest and dearest to us. What better place to do this shopping, then than in my homeland's WESTLAND mall. Five stars too for Yelp getting it right instead of the name misprinted at the entrance. Store selection is typical as any mall. Menswear. Women's Wear. Shoes (don't look M.C. and S.G. :) Sporting Goods. Electronics. Parking is about average, a big lot fronting West 49th Street, and adjacent to an offramp from the Palmetto Expressway. Security seemed especially heavy tonight with Hialeah's finest protecting us shoppers. But what takes this mall over the top is the beautiful blend with the community and all the quirks that we have all come to love about Hialeah.. ..such as the hearing of "acere" multiple times http://youtu.be/knvUE5OOqYY and the perfume salesladies sharing their colada with the shoppers in their store. I have not been inside Westland Mall in years. What a dramatic change. It must have gone thru an extensive remodel because this mall looks absolutely gorgeous. Growing up this was the nearest mall to my family's home. I had started coming here as a young child...heck I have memories of being a child and coming to this mall to take pictures with the mall Santa.... I mean we are talking about years of patronage. I made a lot of memories in here....some bad....mostly good. But this was never really a place I was proud of going to....it didn't look nice...it wasn't cool. My friends used to joke around and call it Wasteland Mall. Now though it's amazing, beautiful, full of great stores you want to come to. I wish I had this mall near my new home. There are also plenty of like Cuban Guys, Chili's, IHOP (or is it IHOB now?) and others as well as an extensive food court. Plenty of great stores to buy from. It's almost like a totally new mall except for a few stores that have always been there. The only negative I can bring up is that Westland Mall used to have valet parking. I hate looking for a place to park in a mall and hate even more looking for the place I parked in because I almost never remember. Having the valet parking was always a life saver for me.... they should have kept it. I only wish my mall could go thru a remodeling like this one. read more

If I can give a zero I would. Sad that one miserable individual can ruin someone's day with their nasty and rude attitude. I have worked at the Westland Mall for the past 7 years. I love working there, it has its ups and downs. I've never had problems with anyone until today. The malls security supervisor (don't know her name) she is Latin, small and heavy set with curly hair. She walks up and down the pathways like she owns the place. Rude and unfriendly and she talks to you with no respect. She accuses you of being disrespectful but what she might not have learned is that to get respect you have to give respect. They let all sorts of people in the mall, shoplifters, rowdy teenagers and troublemakers and when we complain nothing is done but they are quick to hassle the workers for little stuff. To the butch Security Supervisor just so you know, You ain't shit and you will never be shit just a rude and tasteless individual. Get off that pedestal, you are not better than anybody.... read more

I come here often on my lunch break just to get my eyebrows done and shop at a store called Steps NY. It's a small mall with not a lot of store options. Some of the stores they do have that I like are Agaci, H&M, Forever 21, Macy's, PinK VS, Bath & Body Works and Pandora. I only come to this mall because it's close to my job other than that I wouldn't come here. read more

This mall has been around for over three decades. A staple of the history of Hialeah representing the original form of entertainment in its glory days. However, since that time Westland Mall has seized to become modern or renovated to the level one should expect compared to malls like Pembroke, Dolphin or Aventura. Despite making a moderate attempt at renovation by adding H&M and Forever 21; Westland still has lacked in creating a more entertainment friendly environment. One could suggest that reason being is due to lack of land space but developers could work around it in many ways. I came to the mall to do some shopping and see if any new stores have been added. I was able to walk from one end (Sears) to the other end of the mall (Macy's) in less than an hour which highlights my previous point of how small it truly is. Most of the employees dont speak English and are somewhat dismissive. The kiosk vendors are also somewhat aggressive at getting you to buy their items, so tread carefully. If I have to do any future shopping I'll most likely go to Aventura Mall or Dolphin since they have way more stores, better parking and friendlier employees. read more

One word to describe this place: chongalicious. While this place attempts to renovate, they're still many moons behind. The clothing options they have aren't the best. The only store there that seems to be normal is H&M because they haven't been there long enough. This mall is going if you have a fashion emergency and need something last min. However, if you have time to go elsewhere then I'd recommend that you. It's right on 49st and close to 826. read more

Yeah I give it two stars because Yelp say 2 starts means "Meh. I've experienced better.", which is true. I must say this is the closest mall to me and just as Rachael H said.. I don't really want to drive to Pines or but-fu*k Tawain, just to pick up a pair of VS undies. Plus they have a MadRag which is nice because there's one less than 6 blocks away and if they don't have it, at least you have hope with this one.. Other than that.. This was my favorite mall to shop at a couple years back I haven't been in a while because I honestly don't shop at malls anymore. I ended up coming today because I received a Macys gift card for a.d. christmas present so I came to use it right quick. Being that I know how bad hialeah traffic can get I'm here right when the mall open so I can slide right in handle up and slide out. Didn't walk thru the mall just right to Macys so my next trip I can give a full review. read more

This was probably the first mall I ever went to in my life. Mind you, the mall then compared to the mall now has had its staples and its changes. I remember when anchor store Macy's was Burdines, but I digress. For what it is, the mall is decent. They have three anchor stores - Sears, JcPenney, and Macy's. The Macy's has two hidden gems: a LensCrafters and the newly added Starbucks. That aside, this mall got an H&M before Dolphin Mall did! Surprising, right? All in all, it's slowly improving with adding such stores like Aeropostale, Express, and Pandora; still, it's still light years away from being more than just an average mall. You come here if you need something from an anchor store or if what you need is actually sold here (ex. Victoria's Secret). If you want to come here for other reasons, believe me - you're better off going to just about any other mall. There's no entertainment at Westland and the food options are lacking. So I had lunch at Fuddruckers which is one of my favorite burger places, I ended up going into the mall after my lunch and visited JCPennys to purchase Father's Day gifts. Let me tell you! I can totally tell I was in Hialeah the store was like if a hurricane had passed right through it!! Hangers on the floor, clothes on the floor! And all the clothing was disorganized throughout the store. The store was disorganized beyond the average... it was pretty intense. I was surprised there wasn't a pair of jeans hanging off the roof! This is your usual shopping mall with a couple department stores like Macy's ,JCP, Sears , even though the mall is small it has everything you need! Is a one stop shop and you are done, the food court has a couple restaurants and they also have a chili's , Los ranchos Steakhouse and Cuban guys so you have a good selection of food as well. I wish this mall had a movie theater or a stage for live entertainment on the weekends ! So people would come not only for the stores but also for some fun specially locals! If you come from abroad and want a spot with good stores and cheap prices this is your first stop! read more

Small but convenient, although traffic in that area can get a bit crazy, I visit that mall from time to time. Sometimes I just want to do a quick little shopping trip rather than drive several miles or almost an hour to get to a big mall. I just go there to pop into my favorite stores such as Agaci, H&M, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21... Decent food court, clean restrooms. I was there in November 2017 and they had a false alarm about a shooting, I was in H&M and the staff handled the situation quite well by moving us to the back room and giving us little information they had, I heard it was chaotic outside but H&M staff did a good job that day. read more

The good memories from when I was younger are shattered. I highly dislike this mall! What happened to all the humble people? I get it, we have new restaurants so people want to act snobby. I went today to check out the refrigerators and since I had cash on me I thought I might as well make a payment on my Sears credit card. There was nobody there (on the second floor) so I go downstairs to pay. Idk where the fvck people are coming from but seriously chivalry is dead. The women who are cashiers all love to gossip and don't attend people unless you speak up. I don't understand why people have to ask where I'm from, that's not professional at all. People are only friendly if they see you have money. There's been countless times where I'm ignored till they see you with a couple things on you like "do you need any help?" Seriously? Where were you 20 minutes ago? Too many people are lucky to be working but don't see it. The little girls (teenagers) working here are more professional then las viejas chismosas. Westland, Westfield, whatever, has gotten a facelift. The mall is a bit more organized, with more specialty stores than I remember years ago (as in more than 8). EXPRESS is even back; I ransacked that Express when it closed 10 years ago & was 50-80% off, so I'm happy about that homecoming, if nothing else! However the mall is still packed with nearby residents. Some lacking common decency, others lacking mirrors in their home, so you can even squeeze in some people watching w. your shopping. The parking lot is consistently full, leading me to believe the economy at this mall is bumping - more power to them. I will go here only if necessary, it's just too crazy for me now. read more

I had not stepped foot in Westland Mall in about 20 years or so. I grew up in Hialeah back when we had pony rides on the corner of our street and cows about two blocks away. Ummmm, seriously dated myself with that one. ;) My first job ever, when I was 16 was at JCP in Westland. Back then, we had Burdines, Barefoot Mailman, Merry-go-Round, & Farrell's. That was my mall. Something happened around the mid 80's or so and the whole vibe of the mall changed. Aside from occasional visits, I avoided it like the plague. I recently found myself stopping by for dinner at Los Ranchos and was surprised at how much the mall has changed. Physically. It has been remodeled and looks nice & bright. It has some decent stores and restaurants. However, the vibe is still pretty chusma. Plus, the traffic and parking is horrendous! Oh, and a funeral home has a cart at this mall. Because, ya know, the mall is my go to place to shop for a casket & stuff. If I have to shop there, I won't dread it as much as before. Mainly because of the remodel, but it would definitely be a quick visit. read more

I go to Westland Mall almost every single week. The Mall itself is not that big, so you can go from one end to the other rather quickly. The stores are typical to a Mall (Macys, JCPenney, Sears, among other smaller stores). They have a pretty nice food court with McDonalds, Subway, Sbarro, etc., and also they have restaurants like Chilli's, Ihop, Fuddruckers. What I like the most about this Mall is their indoor children's play area, is big, interactive and right in front of the food court. If you have toddlers, you will appreciate a nice play area for your loved ones. read more

I came here yesterday to do a little school shopping. I mostly went to JCpennys, H&M, Footlocker, Charlotte Russe and Express. I caught some good sales and it wasn't that pack just how I like it. The parking lot is very crowded and the mall, even though recently renovated, still feels antiquated. There are often very interesting characters wandering the mall, so people watching is a plus. I go here to buy something quick, or catch a quick breakfast with the family at IHOP, but walking around this place really leaves a lot to be desired. read more

I loved this Mall and cannot wait to return in June. I also want to highlight that the Mall was very clean, which was great.

We love Westland Mall but please keep in mind you need to enforce all cv guidelines for safety as cleaning often courtyard dining tables and refilling cleaners containers that are installed for the purpose but are always empty. Most of the time it is Impossible to find someone around for wiping the tables and on top is that there are always empty containers, paper cleaners never get refilled because apparently "management are Not doing a good job" on this matter at this time. read more

I like this mall. When I went with my mom last time it didn't give me a headache like Aventura does. It's calmer and has the basics. You have your solid department store anchors like Macy's, J.C. Great Mall , for the location. Love that this mall have loads of popular stores and a Sephora lol. And this mall has loads of restaurants and shopping stores in the area. Only downside traffic sucks. I've been a member of the Westland Mall community even before I was born. I can probably name you some of the little old people walk marathons in the morning. A couple months back I decided to boycott until they gave me a Forever 21. I am ecstatic to inform that they took it up a notch and added Express, Aeropostale, a mini Cafe Bar-esque looking place, and one of those new trendy Yogurt places. Christmas came early for me! Westland (aka Westfield) and I have reunited and it feels so GOOD! 5 STARS! read more

Loves this mall but don't go to Auntie Anne's Pretzel, the man making the pretzel is very rude. My little daughter was taking pics on how the pretzel is made and he told me not to take pics. Excuse me? I don't want a picture of your ugly face, just the pretzel and my daughter next to it. My daughter almost cried.
