Hello neighbors and friends,…read more My family and I wanted to share a glowing review for Leski's Home Appliance Repair and its owner, Rod Koroleski. We woke up Saturday morning to a dead dishwasher (never a fun start to the weekend!) and began searching Nextdoor for trusted repair recommendations. While we have an extended warranty through the company that installed it, they were backed up for a full week just to come out for a diagnosis. After reading several neighbor recommendations and Rod's own helpful replies here on Nextdoor, plus his excellent five-star reviews on Google and Thumbtack, we decided to give him a call early Saturday evening. Rod answered immediately, scheduled us for Monday between 12 and 2, and even offered an earlier appointment when a slot opened. His initial service call was just $79 (for reference, the company we bought the dishwasher from charges $129 before parts or labor). Rod was personable, professional, and clearly an expert in his craft. He diagnosed the issue right away and explained that our problem stemmed from a known design change in our dishwasher model. Though it was no longer under manufacturer warranty, he located the replacement part that same day and returned to install it the next--at no extra charge beyond parts and labor. He took the time to explain every step, followed up the next day to ensure everything was running smoothly, and even shared useful dishwasher care tips and checked our disposal drain hose while he was here. Our dishwasher now runs perfectly. Rod's workmanship, integrity, and responsiveness are truly rare today. With his decades of experience--from his start as a Whirlpool technician to lead trainer at a major appliance retailer before starting his own business--Rod embodies old-school quality and customer care. We couldn't be happier and HIGHLY recommend Leski's Home Appliance Repair to our neighbors. Rod is knowledgeable, honest, and fair--and it's great to support a local family-owned business. Normally I fix my own stuff but just thought I'd bite the bullet and pay someone. Rod came out $79…read moreservice fee to tell me it's the water pump leaking.... order part couple days later came out to replace part but couldn't get my instrument panel off, pounding on my machine to the point of brushing his hand and prying with a screw driver scuffing up my machine. He couldn't understand what the problem was... take out "4" screws and it comes right off. Told me I would have to get a new instrument panel "$250" because he would have to bust it off.... or call GE to fix it. Well it's 5 screws and it comes right off. I ended up fixing it myself.... but turns out it wasn't even the drain pump leaking it was the drain hose from dispenser up top. I asked for a discount or refund for the inconvenience and scuffing up my machine and on top of that, it wasn't even the water pump.... he said he can't do discounts.... I think I was at least owed something....1 star for showing up every time he said..... but that's about it!

This is going to seem like an odd review. I've never been to Bill and Rod's appliance and mattress,…read morenor have they actually been out to my house to service any equipment. So why the five stars? I had contacted them about my dryer that was heating up but not drying clothes. I had every intention of setting an appointment for them to come out and help fix it. I found them on Yelp because of their good reviews. The more details I gave, they told me that they thought I should call a "air duct and dryer vent cleaning company." While there was always a chance the dryer was broken, they truly felt that this would fix the issue it more than having one of their service techs come out. So five stars for honesty and integrity. And I can tell you if and when my dryer does stop working completely, which is probably only a matter of time, I will definitely consider calling this company or visiting their store and getting a new dryer from them versus Lowe's or Home Depot.

The sales rep was Judy Walker - knowledgeable and helpful without being obsequious. She matched ABC's price, saving me $750. Delivery was on-time - not an easy delivery. A 2nd floor townhouse with a 90-degree turn near the top. Brendon and Shane did the uninstall, haul away and installed the new Speed Queen without complaint. Thank you guys! The Very Bad: Brendon and Shane failed to remove a tie down bracket that prevents the tub from shifting during shipping and delivery. On our first use, there was a terrible metallic grinding sound. The unit shook so vigorously that it walked itself across the floor, then blew the door open and puked water on the floor ... before pulling the electrical cord tight enough to unplug itself. More Good: I called to request service on a Saturday afternoon ... and Scott arrived at 10AM Monday. He pulled the front panel and immediately identified the root cause - failure of the installers to remove the tie down bracket. He inspected the unit and found no damage. Whew!
