BUYER BE AWARE!!!…read more Jace came to my house on Labor day Monday which i thought was great because I could not get anyone else to come out on a 90 degree plus day. I went through a few nights of no A/C and was getting desperate. I asked him to diagnose the problem and he confirmed my system was low on refrigerant. He put in what he told me was NU-22 which was compatible with my R-22 system. After about 1/2 hour he gave me the total of 550$. At this point my A/C is still blowing warm air and the recently defrosted evaporator is starting to freeze over. (same condition as before he got there) To this he told me it needs 24-48 hours for the sealer that he put into it to get circulated. I bought his story but would have never had him do it if we were not going to get relief from the heat that night. After over 36 hours of my A/C continuously running I called him and he said my A/C is shot and there is nothing he can do but said if i buy a new A/C he can install it for 700$. I then called a sweet old man that has a business just down the road (was out of town the holiday weekend). He came out right away sniffed the system to verify no leak... checked the compressor pressure and blower fan and filters to determine no other issues to cause the freezing over. He was puzzled and through process of elimination replaced the refrigerant and like magic the A/C started working and within 1/2 hour my house dropped 10 degrees. I had 5 professionals including the people who sell NU-22 say this is a replacement refrigerant but cannot be mixed. I mentioned this to Jace and he said they don't know what they are talking about he does it all the time. After going back and forth he then told me that he really didn't put in NU-22 he put in recovery-22 which from what little I know needs to go into a gray or yellow can and is illegal to re-sell. This was a horrible experience he lied multiple times to me, stole 550$ from me and did not fix the problem, then after agreeing to give me 200$ back to help me pay for the actual repair that fixed the issue he blocked my call and hung up on me after calling from another line. I'm sure he is knowledgeable about some things but he does not stand behind his work, he is not a man of his word and he has no issue with doing shady work and over charging for it. His conscience does not direct his work ethic and I would not recommend him. If this note here will save anyone from what I went through with him then I am glad the Yelp system is doing what its designed to do.
