I order something online for curbside pickup. After 2 days of not hearing anything I was irked and…read morecalled to check on my order. The general manager, Daphne (I hope I'm spelling her name right), took my call and worked so hard to a) find out what happened, and b) get my order ready ASAP. She made multiple calls to people in their online department each time calling me back to let me know what was going on. Long story short instead of being angry I felt like I got great customer service and the products I needed.

This place is absolutely wonderful. Every year, we go into Lowes to buy our Christmas tree, but…read morethis year we were driving by Ace and saw that they already had some out (Lowes doesn't get theirs in until after Thanksgiving). We stopped to look at them, and could not believe how much fuller, and more beautiful they were. The girl that was helping us was genuinely nice (I wish I could remember her name, maybe Emily?). We bought a gorgeous, full tree and the price was about the same as Lowes but the Ace tree was bigger, and the quality of tree was so much better! A guy came out with a chainsaw, trimmed the trunk and helped us load it in the car, and was happy to do it. It was so refreshing to shop at a place that was so friendly and helpful. Lowes is ok, I go there often, but the employees are super overworked and checkout takes forever. Ace was fast and fun to shop at, and the employees are so nice they feel like you are shopping with friends! Need more places like this here.

I don't have a loyalty to Lowe's vs. Home Depot... I'll go to either but unfortunately, both are…read morepretty lacking here in Midland. I've been to this Lowe's a few times and it's usually the same experience... I'll be passed by numerous employees and not a one acknowledges me, asks if I need help finding anything, says "Hi", etc. Nothing. I mean, these stores are HUGE... sometimes I'll wander around for an absurd amount of time trying to find something and in the meantime, not even see and employee to even ASK where the product would be. But then there's when you ask someone a question... I haven't felt the response was confident. Like, when you issue a response and it has a "questionable tone/pitch" it doesn't make me feel like you KNOW what you're talking about. Then there comes my most recent trip here, I came with a list of items needed and they were out of many of them which was totally disappointing and resulted in me having to make another stop at Home Depot to get the rest (Ugh. Annoying). No surprise, the trip prior I came for a miter saw. The $99 one (on sale from $139) was out of stock so I ordered it online and had "in store pick up". I got the email saying it was in so I headed to Lowe's and went to the pick up desk. I was kind of surprised that my item wasn't in the pick up area (which would make sense). Instead, the lady had to go in the back (which felt like an eternity since I had 3 kids ages 2, 3 and 5 with me). End of story, I got my saw but MAN! That was quite the wait. In addition to the store experience, we had a guy from Lowe's come out and give us an estimate for replacing our windows. He was really nice and we appreciated that he would periodically call back and ask if we made our decision. (Neither of the 2 other companies who gave us estimates called to see if we made our decision.) We've since decided to hold off on the $10,000 project for now.

Got texted my order was ready, waited outside for 30 minutes, then went inside and had to wait another whole hour and kept getting told my order was coming out over and over, tried to speak to a manager but everytime there never available. I live in a whole different town and came to pick up and order and couldn't even do that. Really bad customer service

I asked for help loading 14 sheets of drywall only to be told that I had to load it. Unfortunately I have a bad back the periodically goes out from a bad car accident, that is why requested help. Another customer helped me load by hand instead of using one of the two forklifts available. Forklifts are used to help with labor tasks such as this to prevent back injury, hand injury, etc. To finish loading in my truck, a day laborer came to help. I tipped him when we finished loading. Now I wouldn't mind paying for help, but when you advertise and promote help loading, and don't. That's false advertising. There is no good deal in that. I think I'd rather pay Ace more per sheet than deal with the depot.
