The cut was exceedingly short and uneven- it was a hack job - very unlike the service, we have come to expect from Westhampton Grooming. I addition, we specifically requested that our dogs have their anal glands expressed. It just so happened that we had a visit to the Vet Dr. for shots last night. We we're told that the anal glands were full and had NOT been expressed. Most disappointingly has been the lack of response from Westhampton Dog grooming after we voiced our complaints/dismay. Ignoring bad service doesn't change anything except one's propensity to be a return customer. read more

I can't reply to a reply so I'm writing another review in response. Gary, I am aware you tried to do your best with the instructions you were given. I'm sure we could've been more clear with how we wanted her cut, I'll admit. However, I can't, in any capacity, make sense of why someone would cut a dog's whiskers off completely. They're very important for dogs' sensory awareness. Furthermore, two days after we got her groomed, we noticed that she was itching herself quite frequently. Upon closer look at her skin, we saw she had red bumps and scabs. We immediately took her to the vet the next day and were told she had gotten bacterial folliculitis and would need antibiotics. I really don't like to quickly hash out blame, but I cannot think of anywhere else she could have gotten it and the immediate contraction after her grooming is too close to be disregarded. I would really recommend that all of the tools used on the dogs be disinfected! Hope you can understand how we feel. Thanks read more

I have been a client at Westhampton Dog Grooming since I lived in Westhampton Beach in the 1980's. I have brought many of my dogs there over the years. My children bring their dogs there now and we travel to get there from all around Suffolk county. Some of our dogs just get baths but others get haircuts as well. Most of the employees have been there for a long time and everyone is polite and they all seem to love dogs and are very knowledgeable about all things dog related. If I have to leave my dog there for a long time they will take them out for a walk. The shop always looks and smells clean as well. In general I am very pleased and will continue to use Westhampton Dog Grooming. read more

Second time using Westhampton Dog Grooming, first time I used Westhampton Dog Grooming figured it was just an off day, Sorry I tried them again, very poor quality haircut for my Yorkie, all hacked up irregular lengths all over very disappointed and dissatisfied with the grooming for a second time and this is the last time. I wanted my Yorkie to look more special for the holidays than she usually does instead guess she'll be wearing a sweater for now. Would not recommend for grooming and at a cost of $75.00 I would think more attention to detail would be given. read more

Have been brining my dog here for a couple of years maybe 3xs a year and the last time he came back with burns all over his body and his rectum. Will never go back. Had a $175 bet bill and a bad hair cut and a very upset pooch. Not worth it... read more

Terrible experience. Never have written a review before but I'm so bothered. Butchered my dog w a shave cut. Many areas cut so close his skin is showing and one spot a razor burn. Took them 6 1/2 hours to finish as I had to rush them along and still weren't completely done. Why bother having appointment if my dogs in a cage all day?? Plus he wasn't even given a potty break!!! This place is the best. I have a Samoyed and if anyone knows the breed, knows that , it snows in July, when they shed their undercoat. Most places I have taken him too, grunt upon just seeing him, complain how much work they were, and he comes home pretty much having the same mats and hair he went their with.
