Luis helped me with everything I needed to get my new truck, I had a great service and I would recommend visiting this dealer.

This is all of what was discovered less than a month of my son's purchase from Westgate! "We first started testing and found DTC P0300 && P050D, A constant misfire was active on cylinder 4 && 8. We also noted a noticeable knock sound coming from the supercharger. We from there pulled plugs and wires tested injectors on bank 2---Found cylinder 4,6, && 8 fuel fouled out (cause of failure isolated too injectors leaking raw fuel on nak 2 causing fouled spark plugs and misfire) && a broken valve spring. At this time we are working to replace spark plugs && injectors on bank 2. (we working together a estimate to submit into warranty on supercharger issue), During the spark plug/injector replacement (took place today) Tech found NO coolant at all in supercharger (still testing) Trying to find cause of failure. # totals----Warranty Is covering $2053.29 towards the bill (this # will change once info on supercharger is submitted) Customer owes $1613.10 -quoted before tax- This includes the (excluded spark plugs & wires--contract does not cover this) also includes the non covered expense of parts/labor. The warranty on vehicle does not cover all GM cost of parts or requested labor due to warranty beign aftermarket & not sold by our dealer difference falls on guest" My son and I tried to reach out to them numerous times just for service records and a copy of his warranty contract and the staff ignored our voicemails from missed calls, never called back, nor did they return emails. I had to go back to the dealer to get a copy of my son's paperwork which could have been simply emailed. They simply ruined my son's first car buying experience but didn't mind taking the $60,000 check from the bank! read more

I have bought 2 (new) vehicles from this dealer over the past 5 years. The latest went fairly well, I bought a Ram 1500 Rebel pretty loaded and paid over 70K for it. I've been pretty happy with it. My gripe is with their service dept. I also own a Ram TRX (a Ram flagship truck). You would think when any customer pays that much for a vehicle you would get treated fairly, with courtesy and some appreciation. The majority of the service experiences I have had at Westgate Dodge has been mostly unpleasant. To date, I have never been called when they were done with my vehicle. I have always had to call to check the status of it. Of course, they always say, "yes we were just fixing to call you". They repeatedly miss opportunities to demonstrate the value of their service abilities. A simple courtesy heads-up call would do! They are always understaffed in service; Service writers are not up-front and forth coming. Empathy is extraordinarily low. This last encounter was the final straw. You comply to their urgency, their mercy, their dominance. Hey, it's my vehicle, not yours. Done with Westgate. I will be taking my Trucks to a different dealership and never buy or get service from here again. Sorry Sales, service made you an undesirable choice. My advice, look at the more recent reviews 2024 - 2025. Says it all. Yes, they used to be a great dealership. read more

Instead of griping, let me tell you what happened and you can come to your own conclusions. I have been looking for a new/used white Encore or something affordable for three weeks and was exhausted by the search. When you buy a car from a certified dealership, the car is physically clean, detailed and ready to drive safely off the lot. The car has had a 100 point inspection with a certified dealership checklist to prove it, the gas and fluids are topped off, the car has been given an oil/lube/ and filter. The incabin filter is new, the tires are filled to the proper amount, including the emergency tire. The tools for the emergency tire are with it, and the owners manual is in the glove compartment. You know what the mileage is and what warrenty you have. The car you trade in is clean, has had an oil/lube/and filter, a clean incabin filter, a basic check up, and in summer, you've made sure the AC is in good shape. You expect that the dealership from which you buy your next car has done the same. Don't you? Not Westgate. I was there for seven hours the first day trying to get the proper paperwork sent between insurance , the bank, and Westgate, but during that time, the car was never washed or prepped. Altho all the other used cars on the lot were clean already! Why didn't they prepare the car I was buying? I finished signing papers at 10pm and drove the car out of the lot to find out there was barely any air in the tires! In the dark, in a strange location, and I had an hours drive to get home. Because I didn't know how to drive the new car, I thot I was also out of gas! Various adventures in the dark ensued, all of which could have easily become very dangerous. I returned to the dealership the next day to get the car washed, but it was the weekend, so they said the car could not be washed. Back home. Went thru the paperwork and found there was no dealership inspection of the car! So, on Monday, I took the car to my own dealership and paid a lot of money for a "pre-purchase exam" of the car. Did Westgate pay me back for that since they had not done it? No. Then I discovered no wiper fluid!!, I had a gallon jug so I filled it up. Later, Westgate had the nerve to tell me they had done the inspection, topped off the fluids and filled the tires! I said I beg your pardon but you did none of those things. You sent me out the first night into the dark in a strange location with no air in the tires!! My dealership did the inspection and topped off the fluids and I did the wiper fluids. Here is their report: the car needs a new incabin filter, rear wiper blade needs to be replaced, and I would like you to please do an oil/ lube/ and filter and give me a windshield sticker for the car. Luckily, Westgate agreed to that when I gave them the list from the inspection . Monday afternoon I returned to get the car washed. Before the wash, my salesman and I drove the car because I was concerned about a vibration on the accelerator and a shaking of the engine. He assured me that was normal. Neither of us saw any cracks in the windshield which would have been right in front of his face. The car was washed and returned to me. I drove it to the entrance, saw a huge chip in the windshield, turned right around and went back to show the salesman: " There is a chip and cracks in the windshield!" He said himself it wasn't there before the car was washed or he would have seen it and I agreed. Tuesday I went back to finish payment, showed the crack, asked to have the windshield replaced because it must have been damaged while being washed. They brushed me off because my salesman was off that day. They said he had to handle it. So I went back today, Wednesday. I asked for the dealership to reimburse me for the inspection they should have done. They refused. I asked them to replace the windshield they cracked when washing the car. They refused. So what to do? All I can do is to let you all know this is a dishonest bunch who are lacking in integrity. I won't go back to them. And I am very upset. The car is a beauty. I'm lucky I found it, but the crack is now worse than ever. The windshield will have to be replaced completely. Was it malice? Can one smile and smile and be a villain? At any rate, that's what happened to me and why I can't recommend "Westgate Dodge Ram". I recommend a certified dealership that knows what is doing for all used car purchases. You can come to your own conclusions. I was really disappointed and very shocked! read more

Went with my daughter and son in law to trade vehicles. They had three they were interested in. They were FILTHY. One was so bad the salesman took it to the car wash before bringing it to the front of the building. All three cars were in the 19-20k range. One, a Toyota RAV 4 had a "structural damage" on the CARFAX. The other two were 2021 Honda HRVs. One was pretty rough but still over 19k. The other was closer to 20k but was still filthy (this was the one taken to the car wash) . They were very interested in this car and was willing to purchase with a trade in. A 2019 Ford Escape. It did have heavy miles, 111,000, to be exact but is a super clean vehicle. They had a 2019 exactly like it on their lot for 17,900. They drove her trade in and came back saying the transmission didn't "feel right". They offered her 4000.00 on her trade in. I said "your kidding? You literally have one just like it on your lot for 17,900. He said yeah but it has half the miles (it had 57000) I said "then hers should be more half the money " then he started talking about the transmission and it would be an expensive fix. Again there was zero issues with the transmission. She told them she needed 6500 on her trade in. The salesman went to "talk with someone" and came back and said "5 is the best we can do" she stuck to her price and said "I need 6500." He said "If I can get you 65 will you buy today?" She said "yes". She had a pre approval check with her. He came back and said "alright we got it worked out for you!" She said "so you got me 65 for my trade in?" He said "I like your shot , but no, 5 is the best we can do. We left and went 15 miles down the road, found a 2022 Honda HRV that was spotless. Clean CARFAX, one year newer 2K cheaper and she got what she wanted on the trade in. She drove her new car home. I would NOT recommend this dealership. I am 59 years old and have dealt in cars my whole life and I would be ashamed to try to sell a car as nasty as those three were. The trade in was 100 times cleaner than the vehicles for sale. They missed a sale over 1500.00. I won't even get into them wanted 600.00 for an anti theft system and "clear UV window tint". I'm giving one star because it's the least star rating I can give. read more

As other have mentioned, do NOT bring your vehicle here for service. Dropped off truck 11 days ago to get the A/C checked. Two days later, recieved a call informing me they were ordering the part and they would get it insalled within two days. After two days, I call to check the status, and was told I would be called back that day. No call back. I've called multiple times since, on one occassion I was transfered to service and heard a bunch of laughing and then was dissconnected/hung up on, the other occassions I was told and then promised I would recieve a call back. NOTHING! I still have no clue what is going on with my vehicle and since no one will answer or call back I am going to have no choice but to make a wasted trip to find out what is going on in person. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!! The dealership told me they were processing my loan and ran my credit against 3 other banks and didn't even run it with my bank. They then told me that I was denied (through my bank who I was already pre-approved for) and I then I had to go to my bank and get a check. When I called them a week later I was told that I gave them permission when I in fact told them no I didn't want them to run my credit to get a different rate somewhere else because I was already pre-approved at MY bank. Jesse is the worst manager at this establishment. I called with the issue and He had a very condescending tone and talked over me the WHOLE time! He started he would send me a document where I signed and gave them permission to run my credit against multiple banks but I have yet to receive anything! He didn't let me get a word in and didn't listen to anything I had to say. I will NEVER recommend this place. They lied to me and I'm so glad I don't have to deal with them EVER again! It was brought in at 9:00 and and was picked up 8 hours later and NO ONE called to provide and update and then we found out NO ONE even looked at the Jeep. When the question was asked what could be the problem they stated they would need the Jeep for at least another 2 days. So professional NOT!!!!! We brought it home and actually fixed the issue of which was completed by a 15 year old and NOT one of the certified so call mechanics. Westgate Dodge Ram is awesome and is the only place I go for all of my car needs. They make everything simple and easy!!!

Do not get your Dodge serviced at Westgate Dodge Ram of Wake Forest. My broken A/C was mis-diagnosed as needing a new Evaporator. I was charged $1891. Four days after Westgate "fixed" my Durango I returned with the same issue (A/C still broken). They returned the truck to me stating the system just needed to be purged of air after last fix. I returned the truck for a 3rd time when the A/C blew hot again, and they said they could not find a leak, re-filled the refrigerant and sent me on my way. I drove straight to Dodge Service in Cary, they immediately found the leak was originally a faulty COMPRESSOR, fixed it and had me on my way...(another $1800). read more

Service Dept is very weak, making excuses for why they did not fix issues reported. Stated they found the issue after bringing the truck in multiple times only to find that it was not repaired. I've tried dealing with them but will be bringing my month old truck elsewhere for the warranty work. Bottom line I wouldn't buy from them. 1/11/22- Please DO NOT BUY a car from salesmen, Randy and/or Jesse. I called and texted this dealership about a 2018 Honda Accord on 1/5/22. I spoke and texted Randy for 5+ days. I made Randy aware I lived 2 hours away and that my work hours are extremely crazy (my fellow healthcare workers may understand this a little too well... hahah).I explained that I had had bad experiences where dealers had sold cars that I was on the way to look at within the last month. I specifically asked him if there was a possibility for him to hold a car if I was truly interested... (since I would have to ask off work and drive 2 hours to get to their location)? He assured me he could hold a car and that he was a man of his word. Mike Wing and Randy emailed, called and texted me several times since 1/5/22. After working 70+ hours between 1/5/22 to today, work allowed me to take half a day to go purchase this car. On Monday (1/10/22) I texted Randy and told him I was allowed time off and I wanted to go look at the 2018 Honda Accord we spoke about, if I could schedule an appointment? He agreed and made my appointment on 1/10/22- and at no point did Randy tell me the car had sold! He did say when I got to the dealership on 1/11/22 to ask for Jesse, bc he would be the one to show me this car. I found this odd, but didn't want to give it too much thought. I just told him I truly appreciated his time and patience. Today, 1/11/22, I received a phone call from a gentleman at 9:06am wanting to confirm my 1pm appointment. I assured him I would be there at 1pm. Well, I showed up on time and ask,ed for Jesse. Jesse seemed unaware that he had a 1pm appointment and asked another gentleman to show me the car I was there for. Jesse clearly told this gentleman, "I have a customer coming in in 15 minutes and I need to show them a car." To be honest with you, Jesse's demeanor leads me to believe he must've assumed I was only there to waste his time. It was a very awkward situation. I tried to ease the situation by telling both gentleman that I did not mind who showed me the Accord as long as I go some assistance. After waiting for 10 minutes for the "key", they told me it was sold, BUT I could still look it. The gentleman insisted and brought the car around and told me to look at it! ...At this point I was crushed. He handed me the keys and allowed me to look at it for 5 minutes and did confirm it had been sold. He then proceeded to say he would be more than happy to show me other cars! I politely told him I was not interested and left. I still can't believe this happened. What happened to good customer service? To trustworthy people? It's so disheartening. I'm extremely disappointed. Please please please do not buy a car at this place. Save yourself the trouble! read more

I would leave ZERO stars if I could. On Saturday we had an oil change on our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. We were told by service that we also needed new tires. Which we agreed to, but then they said they didn't have them in stock and that they would get them in and install our new tires on monday. They said they would call us monday morning. We waited all morning, no one called. We called in the afternoon and the person seemed to have no idea what was going one - we were placed on hold for 20 min then hung up on. We called back later, had to reexplain everything, and the person said they had no idea because whoever was working saturday wasn't there today. Then I was told that the service manager would call me right back - over an hour and half later - no one has called back. This really is terrible customer service. Even if the service department screwed up and forgot to order them saturday - the VERY LEAST they could have done was call us back and say we made a mistake. As it stands we have no idea what is going on and frankly we will just go elsewhere to get our tires!! seriously if you tell someone they need something and that you are ordering it, at least do what you say read more

One of the most racist experiences I've ever had. My father went to look at a Mini Cooper, drove the car and everything and we absolutely loved it! We began the paperwork and were working towards finishing the deal. While we are in the office completing the process, a white man walks in and asks to test drive the car and in a few moments the dealer claims that the male was "pre-approved" the day prior and discontinued the deal which we were in the process of completing. He basically stole the deal from us, we had already been approved through our bank to finance the car for the same exact price that they were claiming this white male had been pre-approved for. They simply refused to honor that we arrived first due to the fact that a white man walked in after us and wanted the car. This was a horrible experience and I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this dealership to anyone!u read more

Terrible. Left with a broken van. Our regular mechanic diagnosed a code P0302 cylinder 2 misfire. They also confirmed the number two cylinder is experiencing a substantial leak and is not producing proper compression. On further investigation they found a matching Technical Service Bulletin 09-002-14 Rev B. Instead of taking our money they provided us with a copy of the service bulletin and advised we have Dodge make the repair under the Warranty Extension. Unfortunately the Dodge service department at Westgate Dodge of Wake Forrest refuses to honor the bulletin. They confirmed the Diagnostic code and insisted on requiring an additional $470 to further diagnose the issue however even without that further diagnostics they insist this service bulletin only provides instructions for repair and I remain responsible for the parts and labor to the estimate of nearly $2000 even though in the bulletin indicates it is reimbursable. Excerpts rom the bulletin. Symptoms: Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the Technician may find that any of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes have been set: P0300 P0302 Exactly the code my van is showing. P0304 P0306 Diagnosis: If the customer experiences the condition proceed to the repair procedure. Repair procedure has the technician perform a cylinder leak down test and if any cylinder exhibits a leak greater than 25% they are to replace the cylinder head. Policy: Reimbursable within the provision of the warranty. Models: The bulletin applies to Dodge grand caravans produced 2011 - 2013 Our van was manufactured December 2011. I bought a new 2019 Dodge Challenger end of June from Westgate Dodge The finance manager told me that we could not pay on car until we got first statement from lending institution in August and 3 payments could be made August/September/October with intention to pay off car in 90 days. The only reason I financed is because Chrysler was offering a $1750.00 discount on a new car. I spoke to another Dodge finance person from another dealership and he said I could pay off immediately since it was a simple interest loan.10 days after I bought car I paid off the car loan.I have the title as of yesterday and it is not August yet,Really! Since the daily interest was $5.48 I saved a lot of money. Glad I did not do what finance person from Westgate told me. Told dealership I did not want Westgate sticker on back of car. One positive was the salesperson Dennis, who is a good guy.Richard Mikels also reached out to me to offer help if other dealer in Charlotte area could not take care of moldings that needed replaced The only reason I traveled 200 miles to get car at Westgate was their price which they lowered an additional $1500 off their best price a few days prior due to meeting another Dodge dealership ??? read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Horrible, just horrible customer service. If I could give no stars, I would. They do not honor their commitments

Be aware of their fraudulent practices. I've hit a curb turning into my driveway, scratched my rim a little bit and lost my alignment. Took the car the service center to get it checked out. First thing they asked was did I call my insurance? I said I need to get it checked first because I'm suspecting it needs alignment. I left the car there on Monday and called Wednesday same guy answered and asked again about my insurance so I got frustrated and asked him if a technician looked at it. He said they will look at Thursday. I called Friday again got the same guy on the phone and he asked again about my insurance so I asked about the damages and he told the axle was bent and it needs a new rim than I asked how much it will cost he responded not sure but around $2000 to $3000. I asked to see an estimate of repair and he responded that I don't have to worry about cost my insurance will take care of it so I got really mad and told him not to talk about my insurance again and I needed a printed estimate. I called Monday and I got transferred to the same guy now he's saying that repairs will cost $11000 because parts underneath are bent. He couldn't name any. I called some friends and got some advice to take the car to a body shop for second opinion and I did. It costed me $106 to fix it. I was right from the beginning it needed only an alignment and my rim was fine. Westgate dodge should be investigated for insurance frauds. read more

This has got to be one of the worst dealerships out there. I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 in September of 2018 from this location and it has been a nightmare ever since I signed the paper work. To start, one of the brand new key fobs was broken and the sales manager Tim said he would order me a new one. After a couple of weeks of waiting, he told me he forgot to order it and would make sure I received a new one. After a couple more weeks of dealing with the service department, I finally received a new functional key fob. I then discovered that one of the cross members under the passenger seat had been broken since I purchased the truck. I asked the dealership to fix the issue for me because I was getting tired of the constant clicking coming from the passenger seat every time a passenger rode with me and they told me that they could not fix the problem because my truck was too new..... It has now been around 9 months and they still will not order me the new part or give me any update on when they can get the part in even though I have asked them multiple times to check on the status. I also discovered that the driver side quarter panel was not installed properly and it did not sit flush to where the door and quarter panel met. I took it to the service department and they agreed that it was definitely defective and they would fix the issue. After dropping it off and waiting a week I decided to call in and check on the status of the work. That's when one of the service managers told me it had not been touched yet even though they said it would be done within three days if it did not have to be repainted. Which it did not. The service department said they only contracted one individual person to work on the body work and since he was sick, the work would not be completed until he became better. I felt bad that the technician was sick but a dealership as large as WestGate should not only rely on one solo person to do all of their body work. After an extended period of time of arguing with the service manager, they managed to get my truck fixed with two days of me complaining about their work methods. It's just sad it took me to argue with them about getting my truck fixed to get them to actually take action and seek out another contractor to do the work. Just when I thought I was done dealing with this terrible dealership, my back up camera began to collect water in the lens making it unusable. I took my truck in on a Friday to have them look at it to see what they could do. They agreed that it would need to be replace because it was defective and they would call me and let me know when the camera came in so I could bring my truck in to have the camera replaced. After days of waiting for a call I then called in on a Tuesday to see if my camera had come in. The service department would not answer the phone so I was finally directed to a service technician. I asked him if my camera had come in and he said that it had and he wasn't sure why no one contacted me so I could set up an appointment to have it replaced. He then transferred me back to the service department to set up an appointment and I waited for over 7 minutes to talk to a service associate and then a lady that just directed calls picked up. I informed her that I had been waiting a long time to talk to someone and she took my name and number down and told me they would get back to me that day. Of course, they never called me back. I then called back on Wednesday and I again waited for over 5 minutes and the same woman answered and told me she would take down my name and number and the service department would call me back. I explained to here that that was not acceptable considering it did not work the previous day. She stated she remembered me calling and that she would personally take over a note to the service department telling them that I wanted to set up an appointment for 9am on Friday. I then called in Thursday to try to verify that they had me on the books for Friday at 9am so I would waste my time driving all the way from Clayton to Wake Forest and again no one in the service department would pick up the phone. The phone then rang to another operator who stated she would take my name and number down and take it to the service department. I explained to her as well that that was the same run around I had been getting and that it was not working. She then personally walked over to the service department and confirmed that they had me on the books for 9am on that Friday. I then took my truck in on Friday to finally have the camera replaced and the service manager acted like it would be an issue to get me a loner car while my camera was being replaced. Thankfully I convinced her into getting me a loner car because they didn't finish my camera until the following Monday. So if I wouldn't have argued with her to get the loner, I would have been without a vehicle from Friday until Monday. Overall, NEVER buy from WestGate of Wake Forest!!! read more

PLEASE READ: My experience here is a textbook reason why it's so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic! We had our van towed to Westgate for service and after they gave their recommendations and pricing, we compared their quote with Leith Chrysler (on Capital) and the Wendell Chrysler Dodge location. Westgate was the highest of all three and not by a little. After going up there again this morning to have my vehicle taken from their custody, I spoke to Benji who, after investigating, found his Foreman was over-charging me on labor even by their own in-house standards. Benji's service quote and his Foreman's quote differed by $117.00. I learned that their mechanics work on commission and I feel convinced that the pressure has made them comfortable padding their labor charges. After all was said and done, it being clear I was being over-charged, I feel strongly that they did not correctly diagnosis the issue, I wasted $85.75 on a diagnostic fee and absolutely wasted my time. Without doubt, they have lost a customer for life and if you wish to deal with an honest outfit, you should go elsewhere read more
