Before I found him to re-Vibram my two pairs of REI purchased Vasque hiking boots, I asked at REI if anyone could resole them. They said they didn't know of anyone doing it in Grand Junction, and if there was someone it would cost more than the original cost of the boots, yet Scott is no more than a mile from their store, and his prices are extremely fair. Lesson learned. Scott was slammed with early Spring repair work, and told me it would be a 6 week turnaround, so I left one pair and in 6 weeks he had them ready, looking better than they had in years. I am stopping in today to pick up the backup pair. A valuable service performed by a nice man at fair prices. Like I said, he's a Grand Junction treasure.

I was already using an ankle brace to prevent my ankle from rolling when I was transferring from my wheelchair.I purchased it on Amazon and it was working great. I should have left well enough alone.I was able to use my right leg as a pivot point for transfers. I got the brace and it was totally different. It wouldn't allow my knee to lock and threw off my transfer totally. They didn't really take my MS into consideration when they made the orthotic. I left the business, tried to get into the vehicle the way I always did. When I lifted my leg, the right leg crumbled and I fell straight down, breaking my right ankle in two places. The brace was still on and wrapped around my knee to my foot. I required surgery - which required a plate and screws. When I was laying on the concrete parking lot, five people came running out to check on me. My husband was helping me and we kept waiting for the fire department to show up. My husband asked the employees if anyone had called 911. They only called after my husband said something. I was in the hospital for 5 days and in a skilled nursing facility for 2 months. The employee that made the brace came running up to the hospital to "check on me." It was totally a CYA visit. I will never use them again for anything. They are totally incompetent and should even be in the business of supposedly helping people!

The most recent insult is the way he was denied social security unemployment benefits even though he is 100% rated by the Army and the VA. He is reapplying and is made to get another physical exam in order to be considered for SS disability insurance. The nurses at the clinic for disability determination run by the state are rude and disrespectful. Although I am his caregiver I was forced to leave him alone to complete the exam on his own. They gave a bullshit reason that per state mandates only one patient can be present at a time. Funny, because I just spent hours with him at another appointment at St Mary's and told them so. Apparently not every clinic follows the same guidelines as a regional area medical center.

This place is completely amazing. I've struggled with chronic neck and shoulder pain following a…read morecar accident and a bad bike crash for the past two years and I've tried lots of different treatments. The biggest difference about the care at Monument PT (other than how great my body is feeling after just a few weeks) is how much I learn every time I go. Josh has taught me so much about how my muscles actually work and what's really going on in there, which makes me feel empowered to take control of my own healing. He takes his time and I feel like his goal is to arm me with the tools I need to address my injury as it flares up rather than coming back every week with no end in sight, which has been my past experience with PT. Also the dry needling work is AMAZING - I had never experienced that before, but I would highly recommend it.

Foot Support Group offered phenomenal service when I needed to insert a lift into one of my hiking…read moresandals. I had been wanting a pair of Chacos for along time, since they are such a comfortable and versatile shoe, but thought all hope was lost when I realized an orthopedic lift could not be worn in an open-back sandal. After talking with Debra who gave fantastic customer service over the phone, I learned they would be able to create a custom raised heel in my sandal if Chaco left the two parts of the sole open. Chacos shipped my custom sandal to Foot Support Group directly where they did an incredible job of making a seamless improvement to the shoe. So grateful!

They cancelled my appointment due to COVID. I totally understand that. What I don't understand is…read morethe rudeness of "Deb" who will cut you off in mid sentence and hang up on you in mid conversation. Maybe it was best the appointment was nixed by COVID. She makes me very uneasy about going there.
