The airport itself is currently under construction in some areas, but that had nothing to do with the rental car location or the lack of a Starbucks. Those were simply the biggest inconveniences of the experience for me personally. I had made a few calls looking for a car service and the fees are quite high. I have been left in awkward situations by car share app service in the past and wanted to be sure we had a ride this trip. Gary's fee was more reasonable than the other companies I contacted and he seemed conscientious on the phone. Morning of our pick up Gary sent a text about 15 minutes before hand to let us know he was on his way. He pulled up and sent another text. He has a comfortable, clean vehicle with a good amount of space for bags. He's friendly and polite and we had a nice, easy going conversation during our 30 minute ride. We paid via Venmo, he helped with the bags and had a friendly good-bye, Gary wishing us good travels. We would definitely use Gary's car service again. Good communication throughout and you are talking directly to the owner-operator, he arrived on time, is a safe driver and provided excellent service.

It's mostly for rich people that want to fly directly into Connecticut without dealing with the Bostons and the New Yorks and the New Jerseys of the world. The beach is right across the street from the field though (walkable and the friendly people working here might even be able to give you a lift). No instrument approaches or fuel and the strip is on the shorter side (2500ft or so) so triple checking your landing distances on hot days. Hard to beat the beauty of a beach across the street though so it's worth a visit!
