My experience at Westend was great! While I no longer live here, I have to applaud the property management team for all of their hard work and dedication to ensuring that residents are happy. Issues whether with packages or maintenance were addressed in a timely manner. Shout out to Amanda for being a true rock star! The community as a whole is super close and there's lots of fun parties held by the team to help foster connections within the community. If I could move back, I would - outside of parking, there was very little to complain about. But what do you expect when you live down town. If you're considering living here, I say do it! Disclosure I have not lived in this apartment because it was not within my budget/the unit I wanted was not available but I had a great experience with the leasing agents, particularly Amanda. She was never pushy and made me feel comfortable exploring the options that fit for me and stayed within the budget I set. I was very impressed with their amenities, monthly events, pet friendliness, and seeming responsiveness to issues faced by residents. The apartment has been around roughly 10 years and at the time of touring, I saw that they were switching over their parking to Parkade in response to visitors parking in assigned spots. I saw that as a good sign of continuous improvements being made. I was informed that the apartment was owned and operated by the staff which I found impressive and promising. Overall I was very excited to potentially live here and had a great time touring the place with Amanda. She was very responsive over email and addressed the many questions I asked her before ultimately deciding it was past my budget currently for which I wasn't shamed at all. I have friends who have lived here for 4 years and can see how this would be a good transition for apartment dwellers before buying a home. Location was extremely central to multiple neighborhoods and had a great view of the downtown skyline while still being separated by the river and park. read more

Had a package from Omaha Steaks delivered to the Westend, we have a locker system and I wasn't notified that the package arrived until 3.5 days later than the actual arrival. After talking to the management team about this, they told me there is nothing they can do to help reimburse me for $150 of steak going bad from sitting at room temperature for multiple days. Management is aware of the gaps in their package delivery system, yet refused to offer any sort of credit for this mishap. Disappointing to say the least. read more

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! DO NOT LIVE HERE. The management at Westend has terrible customer service, and do not care about their tenants at all. I was a 5 year resident of the building, and when I wanted to discuss my lease termination situation/options I was completely written off or ignored by management (specifically Alicia). It wasn't until I reached out to the corporate office where anyone showed me any customer service. It says something that corporate cared more about me as a tenant than the management at a complex I'd lived at for 5 years. I would definitely reconsider living at this complex since they do not care about their tenants or concerns. I know plenty of other complexes around Denver who work with their tenants to ensure they don't ruin a long standing relationship. They then charged me over $300 for moveout and cleaning fees that were completely invalid. If I could go back - I would never have lived in this complex. read more

I have lived here on and off for the last three years now. There is something about the Westend that always brings me back. There is a strong sense of community and warmness here. Stephanie has helped me out both times in finding an apartment that best fitted my needs and my budget. She is so welcoming and always greets you with a smile on her face. Any maintenance issues we had in the beginning of our move were taken care of promptly. I would recommend living here for new young residents to the city! read more

Not a big review-writer, but it feels necessary to share the love where Westend is concerned. After spending two years in hyper industrial RiNo, Westend is a particular breed of fresh air that any city dweller could benefit from. A close-knit group of the raddest residents, unparalleled location walking-distance from three phenomenally dog-friendly parks, and bomb amenities (when covid isn't ruining the fun, of course). Moving in was a breeze with Novardo, who has been an incredibly attentive and thoughtful ally to have in the leasing office from day 1. He made us feel at home immediately, and continues to check in on us months after move in day has passed. If you have the chance, ask for him--he's made himself available at all hours to ensure our Westend experience is the best it can be. After a series of lackluster renting experiences at other locales, I could not be more pleased with the staff, the facilities, and the all-around vibe here at Westend. Do not live here. I lived here for one year with my boyfriend and it was a disaster. They do not enforce any community policies that they say they are going too. It is a big frat party at all times and the pool is basically unusable on the weekends. In addition, the cleanliness of the complex is horrendous. There was dog poop in our stairwell for weeks. The hallways constantly smell like garbage. They rarely clean the complex. Anytime an issue was brought up to the leasing agents, they would laugh it off and not take care of it. The leasing office was more concerned with socializing than helping the tenants. I had multiple packages go missing or stole, even though they have the LuxerOne machine. The gate that is supposed to make the complex safe is frequently broken and damaged, so anyone can enter the complex if they really want. Last, the hidden fees in the lease are absurd. We ended up paying around 400 dollars more than the listed amount for random charges that I have never encountered at another apartment complex. In addition, they forgot to prorate our lease when we moved out and now they owe us around 200 dollars back which I'm sure will be very difficult to get back. read more

MUST READ. BEWARE. If you want a property that is negligent, then by all means live here. If I could give (-) stars I would. Where do I begin? My girlfriend and I moved in 08/2021, and after 7 days our washer stopped working, and our leasing agent/point of contact was MIA. Turns out she got fired and that led to us being without a washer for about 3 weeks, and then someone was sent and then problem didn't get solved so finally after a month it was fixed and the only resolution was a gift card for beer and free parking. Then we noticed our water bill was in the 3-400's for 3 consecutive months we suspected a leak or multiple. We just kept getting told "pay this amount" and then we will have someone come out. We paid the said amount, which then led to racked up late fees, and no one ever came out to look (but maintenance created fake logs that they did). Then hell breaks loose, a pipe bursts while we are away for the new year. We are told that the unit will be in the same condition we left it in. We return to find 3 industrial fans blowing hot air, our fridge pulled out and unplugged(spoiled food and milk), moldy trash left on our couch, and mold and water damage in the baseboards! The next day we were awoken by maintenance coming in without consent trying to inspect for what they thought were more leaks. Property manager Alicia stood by her view that it was live-able. We said we aren't living here, and became displaced for 10 days. Finally she said that it wasn't live-able and we moved to the unit above. Things seemed like they were going to get better, then our dishwasher in this unit stopped draining. I'm sure you can imagine the smell of standing water mixed with food! This wasnt tended to for about a week, finally someone came out, "fixed" it and then it happened again. That was then coupled with a broken garbage disposal so hand washing now wasn't an option. We had orders in for 3 weeks, and daily were told by leasing(by the way those people are useless unless you're signing up to lease) that maintenance would be there by end of day. Well finally I went in to the front and expressed my feelings, and maintenance came and looked at everything fixed the dishwasher and said they'd be back in 2 days to fix the garage disposal. With about a month on the lease left I was hoping that would happen. Well it never happened, and 2 days later 3 weeks before lease expiration our washer in this unit went out with standing water in it. So our sink smelt like death and the washer was now toast. Put in maintenance orders and nothing was happening still, just the same run around. Then we got an email saying there was a new property manager Brett. I scheduled a time to talk with Brett, we talked he assured me someone would be out to fix the disposal and that he had a W/D scheduled to be replaced on back to back days. NO ONE EVER CAME. The last week thankfully we had overlapped our lease so we got out but did a slow move of clothes and what not. Well on our very last day we went back to get the final pieces and leave our keys. The cherry on top of the hell we lived in for a year. We walk in to find someone had been in our unit and moved a lot of stuff out of closets and somehow made a bigger mess. Come to find out it was the 3rd party painters who apparently also felt it necessary to steal a MacBook, snowboard goggles and a sound bar. $1500 worth of property at least. Brett said he wanted to give about 48 hours to have the painting company reply before filing a report. I obliged. Now it's been 72 I asked Brett in person if he'd heard back and he said he had a voicemail from the owner of the painting company and would follow up. As of today I hadn't heard anything, my renters insurance is now expired the guy I thought was going to actually be a help in Brett is on vacation and I am left in the wind. What property let's someone enter a unit where there are still leaseholders UPDATE ON THIS: After posting my first review Westend reached out and told my girlfriend that we would receive a full refund of our deposits plus 500 in concessions for everything that had happened plus reimburse us at 2x the value of our stolen items. In exchange they asked that once that happened and we had our money to update this review. Well I'm not updating with news that we have our money, instead I'm updating to say it's now a full month since our lease ended and we have received nothing but empty promises and run arounds blaming accounting or just not replying at all. Per CO laws they have now broken it states that unless stated otherwise in the lease the Property has 30 days to return any funds or provide a list of deductions to show why no money will be return. So the update here is I have provided the property a set date the money needs to be in my hand by, and if that does not happen I will be seeking legal counsel. read more

The saga continues... At the beginning of November I awoke at 4am to it raining IN my apartment. A water pipe had burst upstairs causing flooding in my apartment and the one below (November 9th). Obviously couldn't stay so I had to make arrangements for me, my kid, and my dogs. Not a great situation since it was right before Thanksgiving and caused me to have to completely change my plans, cancel incoming flights, etc. The property manager assured me that all would be fixed by the following Monday. That didn't happen and there was NO proactive communication. If I wanted info, I had to call and leave messages which were usually not returned within 24 to 48 hours, if at all. When I finally had enough of no communication and continually extended deadlines, I came back on November 21st, to find that my place was still completely covered in plastic, floor protectors, drywall dust, and tools lying everywhere. After speaking to the property manager, who agreed that they'd "dropped the ball" on communication and had not personally gone to take a look (still hasn't), I moved everything myself and cleaned up enough so that my son could at least have a place to sleep. Then, I discovered I had no hot water and no heat. The PM had assured me that all was needed was "final touches". These final touches were not completed until November 30th. To date, my lighting in one damaged room is still not fixed even after repeated requests. As of December 12th they've not comped my utilities or rent for the month of November even though I wasn't here and work is still incomplete. Posting this here in hopes that other current and future tenants will carefully consider who they'll be dealing with in the event of a disaster. I also hope that since I continue to get no response from the property manager to finalize this process this will elicit a response. The good news...the finally fixed the gate! Earlier this year... Let's just say that the free-range homeless viewing opportunities are plentiful. Management is consistently promising that the gate and fence will be fixed/ secured. It has been months and no fix except for some wire that has been tied around a back gate. Pretty sure that someone with wire cutters could make it through in 5 minutes. Interesting that there are consistent emails promising to fix the security situation and yet no alerts to the residents that several vehicles have been broken into. Speaking from first hand experience. It's too bad that management cares so little about the safety and security of their tenants who are pay thousands of $ to live in this community. I do love the location and have some incredibly kind neighbors. Would just like to have the security that we pay for. read more

If you love mid 20s loud mouth bros who forgot they are not in college anymore, you will love Westend! Plus the new ownership is a major step down from the prior group. The best though is that the owners in their infinite wisdom decided rip up the grass and put terrible looking AstroTurf everywhere, where the dogs pee and crap, so when it gets sunny the entire street smells like urine and poo. Great place, highly recommend it. On a positive note the new leasing crew is good, especially the manager who is attentive to resident concerns. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE. Your cars will be towed, your worries will not be addressed and if you have a husband in a wheelchair and the elevator breaks then they REALLY don't care. Been stuck in our apartment for 4 days. They will not pay for us a hotel to have our independence back, best part of it all is that this happened last month for 8 days. I love this community. I was hesitant to move Downtown, but this place is as secluded as downtown gets while still being minutes from the action. I see a lot of reviews saying peoples cars have been towed, but as long as your car is registered that won't happen. This property is perfect if you have animals, they are extremely dog friendly as well. Management has always been quick to help me with anything I needed, like when my garage opening ran out of battery and they promptly replaced it. read more

Alicia is hands down the worst property manager I have ever worked with. The community is essentially an over priced frat house with residents who have no regard for anyone else. Our upstairs neighbor was an absolute nightmare who broke several "community guidelines" continuously - the leasing office did nothing to resolve our on going issues with her including completely ignoring the excessive water damage throughout our apartment (cracked ceilings, collapsing walls, bowed floors/baseboards) caused by our neighbor allowing her living room to flood without calling maintenance. We highlighted all of the terms of eviction that were stated in the lease agreement that multiple residents broke daily and informed the leasing office we would be breaking our lease with no penalty. Shockingly Alicia allowed this (probably realizing we could easily take our issues to a lawyer although I won't give her the credit of thinking that far ahead) but it wasn't before ignoring our emails for a move out date and being flat out useless. The best part - our apartment went up for rent with a move in date 10 days after our move out.... 716 sqft with a rent increase of $575. $2200 to live in a space with excessive water damage that I can guarantee was painted over and fixed with a bandaid and an upstairs neighbor that sees no issue in having 2 am sex loud enough to rattle the doors and dishes in the apartment below. I also can't neglect to mention the utility billing! Split evenly among the building - feel free to blast your AC and heat at all times because even if you're trying to be conscious of your energy use, it doesn't matter! Your bill will be MINIMUM $200 a month. Awesome!! Depending on what you're looking for, Westend is great for excessive noise at all times (don't forget the 18 wheelers on I-25), copious amounts of dog poop everywhere, low quality apartments, and incompetent staff (except Stephanie, shes great). If you want to be a drunk buffoon with no consequences, I highly recommend! read more

Coming from a community where the property managers made everything difficult, it is nice to be reminded that it is still possible to find excellent service. This place is truly worth the 5 star review. I moved in late July, after a horrible experience with Infinity LoHi. Beyond the great location and amenities, everything has been seamless. No hidden or unexpected fees, parking is ample and cheap, maintenance requests are usually handled within 12 hours, management is always helpful with questions or issues, and now it was just announced valet trash is being implemented FREE of charge to residents. Past places charged $25/month for the service with no way to opt out. Couldn't be happier with my decision, definitely recommend Westend! read more
