We came by on a Sunday evening and although the place was a bit quiet at the time, the owners made us feel welcomed. Facility looks new, nice clean, and welcoming. I was impressed by the level of coaching offered for a first timer like myself. We booked an hour ($32 per person per hour) which got us our own lane with two targets, two tomahawks and two hatchets, and "axe master" Alexis who showed us how everything worked and gave us tips on how to throw better. You can also pay extra to throw a wide assortment of gnarley, medieval looking weapons like spears and daggers and such. I spent a good chunk of time aiming for the blue dot "kill shot" and finally succeeded with just a few minutes left in the session. This got me the right to write my name in a blue sticker and spin the prize wheel and I got a Bury the Hatchet coozie to take home with me. This location is BYO (both food and alcohol - but no liquor) and they have tables where you can set up food and drinks. Kids are allowed but minimum age is 10. Overall a great place for a date night or time out with friends. We'll definitely be back sometime.

My wife took me here during a surprise birthday celebration she was doing for me. The first great part is when we got out and my wife opened the trunk to reveal a packed cooler of beer! Now, I should note that while you are allowed to bring alcohol, you can't bring hard liquor and you cannot be visibly intoxicated or they will not admit you (probably a smart thing). We had to sign a waiver of course in the event we chopped a limb off (we didn't). And then we were taken back to our lanes. It was a Saturday night and most of the lanes were full, we had two towards the back. One of the employees walked everyone through how we should throw and gave a couple of pointers before everyone took their time to give it a shot. They had great music, it's a relaxed atmosphere and everyone working there was great. We had a phenomenal time and will definitely be returning!

You have an S hook Axe (heaviest out of the three), Hatchet (Typical Axe), or the Tomahawk Axe. Close to the end of the session they bring out a Firemen Axe that you can attempt to throw at the target and is easiest the hardest to maneuver. In addition to the Axe throwing, they have a fun baskettball arcade two person competition game that you all should be familiar from the days of your childhood arcade days and many other fun games such as shuffle board, Jenga, darts etc. This is perfect if you have a large party and are waiting your turn to throw as you can play a fun game while you wait. When I think of Axe throwing I am reminded of the beginning of the movie, "The Bodyguard" with Kevin Costner. There is a scene where someone is trying to recruit him to take on the bodyguard job and he is leisurely lobbing an axe at a wooden stake trying to land a shot. Everything is BYO so you can bring food drinks, snacks whatever you would like with you, but they also do sell some snacks and beverages on site. My brother won a gift certificate for Tilted Axes and invited me to come with him as it was for two…read morepeople for two hours. What he didn't realize was there was an expiration date, but thankfully for some nice customer service, we were allowed to use it the day after expiration as we set up in advance a date and time that the facility advised would work - 4pm on a Saturday. We arrived to a majority empty place which turned out to be in our favor. We got a lane to ourselves and almost a private lesson on how to throw from our AxeMaster. There are three styles of axes. Two are two-handed throwers, and then a hatchet which is a one-hand throw. They all have their positives and negatives with their weight and accuracy, but we got enough time to toss them all. Our two-hour session started with 10 minutes on each of the two axes and hatchet. It was almost getting monotonous but quickly we were getting the hang of each one and the characteristics needed to make accurate throws. Our AxeMaster would provide pointers after each throw to improve our skills. Then, let the games begin! We played several games. First was a 20-throw high score wins. Every fifth round you could go for a "kill" shot which was the tiny blue dot on each upper left and right of the bullseye target. 10 points to succeed, zero if you fail. 99% of the time you fail. Second game was to have an imaginary tic-tac-toe board and win that game. Another game was to hit each level of bullseye twice and then end the game with a kill shot. We then played another 20-throw high score. When it came to the kill shot to win, this took a very long time and we almost didn't have enough time to play the second 20-throw. But, I finally got it and we played. Happy to say I won everything except tic-tac-toe. The facility has at least 10 lanes to throw, a small lounge with some video games and pool table, a stage area for bands or comedians, and plenty of tables to stand around and watch the TVs or people throwing. There are competition leagues and Tilted Axes is certified to have them. They sell a little bit of food, but you can bring in all you want and beer, too. If this place was crowded, and our AxeMaster said it does at times, I do not know if we would have had as much fun because of the diminished time you would have had to throw and the hour or two does go quickly. While you are playing your games, you do have the option to switch out which axe you can throw. You have to sign waivers which are done electronically. Don't forget to tip your AxeMaster! We had a great time and our shoulders are a little bit sore. We really liked the experience and would definitely do it again! We had a gift certificate, but I was told a two-hour session is about $42 for one person, and about $25 for a one-hour session. I'm sure the website has the group rates and competition league rates and rules.

After dinner, we went into the room next door to play some arcade games. There is also a karaoke room, axe throwing and darts. I heard they also have a rooftop. We got there early-ish and it wasn't crowded. It's a nice addition to the local scene and something families and adults can enjoy, so hoping it does well.
